Washington (CNN) — Suicides among soldiers this year have topped last year's record-breaking numbers, but Army officials maintain a recent trend downward could mean the service is making headway on its programs designed to reduce the problem, Army officials said Tuesday. Seacrest Stalker: Army Trained, Charged with Stalking

The L.A. County District Attorney’s office has formally charged Chidi Uzomah, 25, with felony stalking after he came looking for Ryan Seacrest last week in L.A. He was also charged with two misdemeanor counts of disobeying a prior court order after allegedly assaulting a guard at Children’s Hospital in Orange County.

The Heene family, accused of perpetrating the Balloon Boy hoax to promote a reality show, are looking at some serious criminal charges this week or next. The couple’s lawyer, David Lane, expects charges to be filed by Wednesday, and says the Heenes will themselves in to avoid the spectacle of a public arrest. Ironic that Richard Heene does not want a public spectacle this time.
