Ryan Murphy to Make $40 Million Off of Glee

Ryan Murphy has inked a $24 million deal with Fox to continue his Glee show-running duties across the next four years. Additionally, Murphy will earn a percentage of the profits from the Glee tour, albums, merchandise and possibly a Glee Broadway musical; Deadline estimates that in total, Murphy will be making $10 million a year. The only other non-singer profiting this much off of Glee might be Cory Monteith. [ Deadline ]

Hugh Jackman Resigned to Smooth-Chested Werewolf Trend

Between Twilight and True Blood , have we entered a new era where smooth, six-packed werewolves must manscape? Hugh Jackman thinks so, though the hirsute star scoffed at rumors that Taylor Lautner might join X-Men: First Class as a younger version of his Wolverine: “My only question is, can he grow mutton chops?” Jackman asked E!’s Marc Malkin. “Actually, I think people would probably prefer him as a hairless Wolverine than a rather hairy-chested version. Certainly about a billion young girls would.” [ E! ]

Steven Seagal Sex Case Dismissed

The Los Angeles court has dismissed a $1 million lawsuit filed against Steven Seagal by a former assistant who claimed that her employer had sexually harassed her on repeated occasions. Seagal’s attorneys had reportedly been trying to resolve the case out of court — maybe because of the incriminating interview Jenny McCarthy gave to Movieline in 1998 about Seagal’s ungentlemanly casting couch conduct. No word yet on whether A&E will order more episodes of Steven Seagal Lawman , which was pulled off the air shortly after the allegations were made. [ Yahoo! ]
