Former political figure/celeb Sarah Palin stopped by a lucky Chick-fil-A restaurant Friday to “support a great business” slash probably denounce gay people. Palin Tweeted and Facebooked a picture of herself, former Alaska First Dude Todd Palin, at Chick-fil-A, looking happy to be at the Houston-area spot. “Stopped by Chick-fil-A in The Woodlands to support a great business,” is her caption, no doubt in support of Chick-fil-A’s anti-gay marriage stance . To be clear, Chick-fil-A’s founders have a right to their opinions, and by visiting there and posting the photo above, Sarah’s exercising that same right. Freedom of speech. Great stuff. But to be equally clear, Palin is all but certainly using it to imply she hates gays without having to say she hates gays. Way to be cowardly – chicken if you will – in your bigotry, Sarah. At least pull a Mike Huckabee and declare a full-on Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day. Ed Helms, Miley Cyrus, Lindsay Lohan, Kim Kardashian and others have called for a Chick-fil-A boycott, while Boston banned the restaurant from the city. So the attention-starved daughter of a failed Vice Presidential Candidate and less-than-one-term Governor was probably hoping the following clip would not create any kind of stir. But on last night’s episode, three-year old Tripp was being disciplined by his mother and his aunt and responded to their attempts by lashing out… with a gay slur. Watch now and try to decide which is the most appalling: Tripp actually knowing the word; Bristol laughing over his use of it; or Bristol’s earlier comment about “God watching,” for which she also could not keep a straight face:
Condoleeza Rice Not Interested In Being Mitt Romney’s Running Mate Condoleezy says she’s not trying to be down with Money Mitt and his pro-life politics. Sarah Palin on Thursday night said she thinks Condoleezza Rice – the new it-girl in Mitt Romney’s veepstakes rumor mill – would make a “wonderful vice president,” but said she’d be more comfortable with a nominee “who had that respect for all innocent, precious, purposeful human life, and showed that respect being a pro-life candidate.” Rice has previously classified her position on abortion as being “moderately pro-choice,” something Palin suggested during her Fox News appearance might be a liability for a GOP ticket already boasting historically moderate Romney. But the 2008 vice presidential nominee largely gave her blessing to the possibility of a Rice pick anyway, reasoning, “it’s not the vice president that would legislate abortion, and that would be Congress’ role. And we’ll keep that in mind.” Asked by CBS News’ Charlie Rose in late June how she would respond should Romney offer her the job, Rice said unequivocally, “Not gonna happen – and no.” Still, after the Drudge Report placed her atop Romney’s short list Thursday night, citing her strong showing at the former Massachusetts governor’s Utah retreat several weeks ago, her “no” hasn’t stopped talking heads from weighing in on what the former secretary of state could bring to Romney’s campaign. Bristol Palin Pledges Abstinence Until Marriage Even though she already has one kid and there are plenty of methods of birth control that would prevent another, Bristol Palin is swearing off sex in order to “use her platform for good.” Bristol Palin says being a young mother is “hard”, and now she has vowed no more sex until she and her pipeline worker boyfriend are married. Palin, 21, tells In Touch that she is determined to walk down the aisle with Giacinto “Gino” Paoletti before they think about having another child. “Gino and I are going to wait until marriage,” she tells the magazine. “I’m doing what’s best for me. It’s between me and God, and I know it’s right.” Bristol, the oldest daughter of Sarah Palin and now the star of a new Lifetime reality show “Life’s a Tripp”, became a single mother at 18, giving birth to son Tripp in 2009. But she tells the magazine that being a teen mom was difficult. She explained, “My sister Willow is 17, and when I was her age, I was eight months pregnant, and I look at her and I think, ‘Holy cow, I was just a baby! I don’t care what your background is — it’s so hard.” She insists that she would never trade in Tripp, now three, but she wants to use her story to educate other teens. She added: ““Since I have this platform, I want to use it for good. I want to let girls know that this isn’t ideal, this isn’t fun, this isn’t easy.” Bristol, you’re 21 now.
