Mitt Romney Eviscerates Donald Trump In University Of Utah Speech The GOP trotted out Mitt Romney to denounce Donald Trump and set the stage for a hoodwink when they deny him the Republican presidential candidacy. Don’t believe us? Just watch… We have no doubt that some Republicans agree 100% with Donald Trump’s wild and racist policy proposals , but they know damn well they’ll never be a credible party with him as their leader. No WAY they let him run for President, just a matter of how do they sabotage his campaign. Image via AP

Mitt Romney Speaks Out On Melissa Perry-Harris Clowning His Black Baby Grandson – “That Was Beyond The Line” [Video]

Mitt Romney Reacts To MSNNC Panel Mocking Black Grandson But, she said she was sorry and even cried!!!! Via Huffington Post: Former U.S. Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said on Sunday he is ready to “move on” and has forgiven MSNBC television host Melissa Harris-Perry for a segment that joked about his adopted African-American grandson. “They apologized for it, and that’s all you can ask for,” Romney said on ‘Fox News Sunday’. He said Harris-Perry’s apology “was clearly heartfelt, and we accept that.” The comments from the 2012 presidential nominee and former Massachusetts governor were his first about Harris-Perry’s emotional on-air apology and explanation on Saturday about the controversial segment. Romney said he understands public figures are fair targets for criticism, “but children – that’s beyond the line.” Check out his full response below: Here is MPH’s tearful apology… Awwww, Mitt Money was nice enough to accept her apology. Melissa Harris-Perry Apologizes For Mitt Romney Grandchild Jokes, Uses Absurd Hashtag

MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry is in hot water for making jokes about Mitt Romney’s adopted, African-American grandchild on the air last weekend. Melissa Harris-Perry: Sorry For Mocking Romneys’ Black Grandson The comments came during a segment in which a roster of comedians were riffing on notable photos from the past year, and things went off the rails. A photo of the Romney family with Mitt’s latest grandchild, Kieran Romney, who is adopted and African-American, on Mitt’s knee, sparked laughter. “One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just isn’t the same,” sang out Pia Glenn, one of Harris-Perry’s guests on the show. Harris-Perry herself said she would like to see the “gorgeous” child and North West, daughter of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, get married some day. “Can you imagine Mitt Romney and Kanye West as in-laws?” she said. This apparently incongruous sight had everybody on-screen giggling, but the capper was provided by comedian Dean Obeidallah, who quipped: “It sums up the diversity of the Republican Party and the [Republican National Committee], where they have the whole convention and they find the one black person.” While the imagery of Mitt and ‘Ye as in-laws is pretty hilarious, using a child of a public figure in a political jab (pertaining to race no less) is in pretty bad taste. Conservative blogger Caleb Howe wrote, “He’s not a child adopted by loving parents prepared to provide him with a better life in keeping with the family’s values.” “Nope. He’s just a token. A punchline, not a person.” Sarah Palin was more pointed, writing, “Holy unbelievable. The hypocritical leftist lamestream media should be shamed by every caring, child-loving American.” Incredibly, this wasn’t just an off-the-cuff remark. The segment was pre-planned, leaving conservatives outraged that someone thought this was a good idea. With Phil Robertson returning to Duck Dynasty , the media seized on this latest left-right controversy and the umbrage rising against the MSNBC host. Harris-Perry apologized this morning, Tweeting, “I am sorry. Without reservation or qualification. I apologize to the Romney family #MHPapology” Yes … she appears to have added a touch of self-promotion in the form of that ridiculous hashtag to an apology that otherwise would’ve sounded sincere. Compared to her guests, though, she was downright contrite . Pia Glenn apologized to families with adoptive children but defended herself vociferously. Dean Obeidallah, meanwhile, apologized to the baby if the baby was offended, then went on the offensive, noting that the right is just as insensitive. “I’ll apologize to the Romneys but not the wing nuts,” Obeidallah writes in a Daily Beast column Tuesday titled “Confessions of a Romney Baby Bully.” And the 24/7 political/media wars raged on into 2014 …

Give It Up Already: Ex-NH Governor John Sununu Blames Dependent Voters For Obama’s Win

If they keep blaming that “47%” for everything , how the hell are we supposed to move on as a nation?? According to The Huffington Post , John Sununu’s grumpy white azz isn’t ready to let this one go anytime soon: If Republicans are trying to shy away from the notion that America is divided between productive capitalists and dependent moochers, they forgot to tell John Sununu. The former New Hampshire governor and Mitt Romney campaign surrogate said Tuesday that Democrats and President Barack Obama won reelection by turning out the moochers. “They aggressively got out the base of their base, the base of their base that’s dependent, to a great extent economically, on government policy and government programs,” Sununu said at a forum with two other Republican governors, according to the Concord Monitor. Sununu’s comment recalled Romney’s infamous statement during the campaign that 47 percent of Americans are dependent on government and would vote for Obama no matter what. The remarks, delivered at a big-donor fundraiser in May, roiled the campaign. “There are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent on government, who believe that, that they are victims, who believe that government has the responsibility to care for them,” Romney said. “I’ll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives.” As it happens, Romney’s former running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), repudiated that notion during an awards dinner in Washington on Tuesday evening. “Both parties tend to divide Americans into ‘our voters’ and ‘their voters,’” Ryan said, according to Politico. “Republicans must steer far clear of that trap. We must speak to the aspirations and anxieties of every American. I believe we can turn on the engines of upward mobility so that no one is left out from the promise of America.” Romney, for his part, initially defended his “47 percent” comment, then said he had been “completely wrong.” But after the election he returned to the idea, saying Obama won by giving “gifts” to blacks, Hispanics and young voters. This is coming from the guy that spent over $600,000 of taxpayer money, for private government jets for himself! SMH Images via facebook

Get Your Life Together: Dummy Who Got Romney/Ryan Logo Tatted On His Grill Is Having It Removed

SMH. Somebody paid him $15K to put that on his face and now he’s gonna go erase it. Via NY Daily News reports : A northern Indiana man who had the Mitt Romney-Paul Ryan campaign logo tattooed onto his face “to make politics fun” says it’s time for it to come off. Eric Hartsburg of Michigan City, Ind., says he plans to have the red-and-blue “R” removed from its prominent place next to his right eye. He says a Republican supporter paid him $15,000 to get the tattoo and keep it until at least the election was over. Weeks after President Barack Obama defeated the former Massachusetts governor in the Nov. 6 election, Hartsburg says “now to me it represents not a losing campaign, but a sore losing campaign.” Hartsburg says he reached out to the Romney campaign about the tattoo, but feels snubbed that no campaign staffer ever contacted him. Does this guy make you feel proud or ashamed to be an American? Facebook

Romney Adviser Brags About Terrible Performance Among Minority Voters

Mitt Romney can still enjoy a nice silver lining following his loss in the 2012 presidential election, brags adviser Stuart Stevens, who feels the Republican won where it counts. Seriously, this isn’t an Onion article … these are real quotes. Stevens penned an op-ed in the Washington Post today arguing that by winning wealthier and whiter voters, Romney secured a huge moral victory over Obama. “On November 6, Mitt Romney carried the majority of every economic group except those with less than $50,000 a year in household income,” Stevens wrote. “He carried the majority of middle-class voters. While John McCain lost white voters under 30 by 10 points, Romney won those voters by seven points, a 17-point shift.” “The Republican Party has problems, but as we go forward, let’s remember that any party that captures the majority of the middle class must be doing something right.” As a result, “Republican ideals – Mitt Romney – carried the day.” The implied argument – at least how some interpreted it – that poorer votes are inferior seems to undercut the campaign’s central message over the last two years. Then again, so did Romney’s own 47 percent comment. Mitt’s top concern in 2012 was providing jobs for the jobless, he said again and again and again, with unemployed Americans highlighted in ads, speeches and photo-ops. Those individuals make under $50,000 a year almost by definition. Stevens notably never mentioned jobs and unemployment, instead focusing on how Romney championed “the moral case for free enterprise and conservative economics.” Unfortunately for Romney, poor and minority votes counted just the same as the allegedly superior votes Stevens favored, and they went for the other guy. The 2012 election results were not even all that close: a margin of 3.5 points, over four million overall votes cast and an electoral college blowout for Barack Obama. Powered by strong turnout and margins among young voters, Latinos, African Americans, and women, he won a second term despite a struggling economy. Why? Stevens had an explanation for that, too, of course. Obama was “a charismatic African American president with a billion dollars, no primary and a media that often felt morally conflicted about being critical. How easy is that to replicate?” We imagine his supporters will have a rebuttal or 20. Wonder if the Prez himself will bring this up during lunch with Romney at the White House tomorrow.
