Fancy Feet in Distress: Chris Brown Is Suing A Promoter In The Philippines Over Alleged Extortion

WENN Chris Brown Is Suing A Promoter For Extortion Back at it again with the shenanigans and legal issues. Chris Brown’s latest lawsuit is against a promoter in the Philippines, who Chris claims tried to extort him out of $300,000. The alleged incident happened all the way back in 2014, when C Breezy was supposed to perform for a New Year’s Eve show. The show had to be rescheduled because of passport issues, and the new performances was set for July of 2015. Here’s where things get strange: when Brown tried to exit his hotel, he was met by armed men who were blocking his every move. Chris was told by the lawyer for the arena that he would be arrested if he didn’t pay Jose Victor Los Banos Biongco $300,000. These scammers were no match for Christopher Maurice, and he called up an immigration lawyer right away. Eventually, the immigration lawyer got him out of the country without having to dish out $300K–all’s well that ends well. Well, not really. Because Chris is now suing the man for his “emotional distress” following the incident. Let us know how works out for you, Breezy.

Hayes Grier has been hospitalized. The Internet sensation, who is one of the most popular stars in Vine, got into a serious accident yesterday while riding his dirt bike. News of the crash and of Grier’s tenuous condition was first made public in a Tweet by his brother, Nash Grier. “Just got a call on set that said Hayes was in a crash. He’s now in the hospital,” Nash tweeted to his 5.63 million followers, adding the hashtag “#PrayForHayes” to his message. It didn’t take long for this hashtag to go viral. In follow-up a series of follow-up Tweets, Nash kept fans as informed as he could be, writing of his sibling: “He can move & talk (thank god) but he’s coughed up a lot of blood. That’s all I know. Praying he has a quick recovery. “Damn I hate hearing s–t like that on the phone, scared me to death.” About an hour later, Nash actually shared a screenshot of a text exchange (which he captioned with “Phew”) with more specific news regarding Hayes’ health. It’s unclear who was on the other side of the exchange, but it appears to be someone at the hospital and it reads as follows: “Your brother is pretty busted up right now. Luckily no major stuff. All scans came back negative for any internal bleeding. “He does have a concussion, fractured top two ribs and bruised lung on one side. He is in a lot of pain.” Hayes Grier is only 16 years old. Justin Bieber Turns Down MASSIVE Payday, Sticks It to GOP

Unlike Katy Perry, Demi Lovato and Lenny Kravitz, Justin Bieber did not perform at the Democratic National Convention this week. But that doesn’t mean the singer didn’t make his political leanings very well known. He just did so in a more subtle manner. And a more impressive manner, some might argue. According to TMZ, Bieber was offered $5 MILLION to perform at a Republican-sponsored event during last week’s Republican National Convention. The performance would not have taken place at Quicken Loans Arena, where the gathering was held, but at a venue nearby. Insiders tell TMZ that the offer was made to CAA, Bieber’s talent agency, and that a promoter got in touch with Bieber’s people to ask if Justin would sing in Cleveland for about 45 minutes. (For those doing the math, that comes out to over $100,000 per minute.) The promoter tried to assure Bieber that the concert would not be political in any way; that he would not be asked to endorse Donald Trump or discuss policy or anything of that nature. But the event would have been bankrolled by GOP donors. Moreover, Bieber would be paid up front and the donors would cover all production costs. It would have been the single biggest payday of all-time for Justin Bieber. And he turned it down. Sources tell TMZ that Bieber did ponder the offer for a bit. He’s Canadian, after all, and could have argued that he doesn’t have much of a stake in an American election. But Bieber’s manager and close friend, Scooter Braun, is a huge Hillary Clinton supporter. He even held a fundraiser for her at his Los Angeles mansion. Braun and others at CAA believed that, regardless of the impressions they were given, the event would have been “100 percent political.” Scooter reportedly tried to negotiate with the promoter who made the offer, asking, for instance, if Bieber could hang a “Black Lives Matter” banner inside the venue while he performed. But the answer was no. And it was also made clear that Bieber could not insult Trump in any way at the show. Still… Bieber was the person who made the final decision. He actually spoke with LeBron James in order to do so because Conservative insider told Justin that the famous basketball player would also be appearing in Cleveland last week; also in a non-endorsement capacity. But LeBron told Bieber this was incorrect information. He was staying far away from his adopted hometown during the Republican National Convention. In the end, with Bieber’s all-African-American band also being turned off by the possibility, Bieber turned down the invitation. Pretty cool, huh? Pretty interesting to go inside the machinations of a political campaign and how it tries to recruit celebrities to its cause… … and even cooler of Bieber to say no to such a massive payday. BOSSIP Exclusive: The Game Hit With $35K Default Judgment In Legal Fight With Promoter

Rapper Never Responded To Promoter’s Lawsuit   The Game blew off a legal battle with a concert promoter who accused him of screwing them out of hundreds of thousands – after he cancelled a performance at the Kentucky Derby last minute – and the judge got tired of waiting for the rapper to show up to court and slapped him with a $35,000 judgment.   Dream Team Entertainment sued The Game, real name Jayceon Taylor, in Federal Court back in October 2014. The promoters explained that The Game signed a contract with them in April 2014. The agreement was for him to perform at Kentucky Derby Festival on May 2nd. The company said they wired the rapper $35,000 following the deal being executed as a deposit for his performance. However, they say on the day of the concert they got a call from an associate of The Game. The associate said they he would not be performing if the rapper didn’t headline the show. The promotion company had numerous conversations with The Game’s associate but he did not appear at the Derby. They demanded the return of the $35,000 deposit and an additional $30,000 for a cancellation fee that was agreed upon in the agreement. They said the rapper and his team refused, and so they filed the suit that demanded damages for his breach of contract. Then on October 30th the promotion company filed a motion for default against The Game. They explained he was served with their legal papers back in January, but he has blown off the legal battle and refused to show up to court to address the lawsuit. The promotion company – who originally demanded $75,000 in damages – is now pleading with the judge to award them a default judgment in the amount of $355,000 in losses, $160,000 in money lost in ticket sales and $10,000 for the money they spent to promote the event, for a grand total of $525,000. Then on December 18th the federal court judge came back and granted the motion for a default judgment against The Game. However, he said the concert promoters failed to show evidence backing up their alleged damages in the amount of $525,000. The order says that there is nothing whatsoever to support the requested default judgment amount and as a result the judge ordered The Game to only pay back $35,000 to the promoter. Continue reading

BOSSIP Exclusive: 2 Chainz Wants Concert No-Show Case Thrown Out

Rapper Says Performance Ditch Was A Misunderstanding – Not Fraud 2 Chainz said a lawsuit accusing him of fraud for not turning up to perform at a Midwest music festival on his birthday was simply a misunderstanding – and wants the case thrown out. Concert promoter Levelland Productions sued 2Chainz and his manager in Oklahoma Federal Court last month for his no show at the Rawhide Music Festival in Stillwater, OK back in September. The promoter said he and 2Chainz agreed he’d perform at the show on Sept. 12 – his birthday. Instead, 2 Chainz showed up a day earlier and demanded to go on stage. The promoter said other acts were booked that night and he couldn’t reshuffle the lineup. 2 Chainz left, and the promoter saw on social media that the rapper performed a birthday concert in Atlanta. Levelland Productions’ lawsuit said 2 Chainz and his people knew he wouldn’t be available on his birthday, and tried to strong-arm the promoter into letting him perform a day earlier. Levelland Productions said it had to scramble to find a replacement act, and lost money in ticket sales. But the “I’m Different” rapper fired back in court docs Dec. 21, claiming that 2 Chainz’s no show amounted to a broken promise at worst, not fraud, and asked the suit to be dismissed. 2 Chainz said he genuinely believed he agreed to perform Sept. 11, not on his birthday Sept. 12, and was ready to do the show a day earlier. “This lawsuit arises out of a simple misunderstanding – a misunderstanding that the plaintiff now seeks to characterize as a ‘fraud,’” 2 Chainz’s court docs said. “After refusing to allow 2 Chainz to perform on the night he was available, plaintiff now seeks to turn the parties’ misunderstanding into a claim for fraud.” 2 Chainz’s answer also said the promoter’s lawsuit is flimsy because it isn’t specific enough on which member of 2 Chainz’s camp promised that he’d be there. It said the suit should’ve been filed in Atlanta, where all of the defendants live, instead of in Oklahoma. This isn’t the rapper’s first foray into a courtroom. Last month, he beat a defamation case from a North Carolina woman who claimed he ruined her life when he posted an unauthorized video of her with the hashtag #IsThatYoThot.

Where Do We Sign: New Petition Calls For George Zimmerman & DMX Celebrity Boxing Match To Be Stopped

Should the boxing match be stopped ? Petition Calls For George Zimmerman’s Boxing Match To Be Stopped Via White House Petitions reports: Celebrity Boxing Promoter Damon Feldman & George Zimmerman are attempting to promote and profit off of racial tensions in America. Damon Feldman has been known for fixing fights and taking short cuts in the past in bypassing state requirements for fighters to obtain a license to box. Mr Feldmans past should be highly considered in this regard if Feldman is not going through the proper channels to ensure the safety of the participants it puts lives at risk. in addition the entire idea of this event is to use racial tensions to lure people in to purchase the event. this will only hurt America as it will continue to stir up racial tensions that have been on going in this nation for quite some time. No Promoter or Celebrity Boxer should ever be allowed to use racial tension to profit. Reports say Feldman says that he is aware of the petition but has not read it. “There are a lot of haters out there,” he says. “But I don’t see color. I’m just in this to make money. There’s an opportunity for me to catch a break here.” Do you think Zimmerman should be able to capitalize from the death of Trayvon Martin?? Sigh the Petition HERE !

George Zimmerman Joins Celebrity Boxing Circuit; DMX Vows to "Beat the F–k" Out of Him

George Zimmerman plans to join the ranks of celebrity boxing and is already on the hunt to find a famous opponent, according to reports. Seriously. Promoter Damon Feldman is behind the celebrity boxing match, set to take place on March 1, though it’s unclear who he will be duking it out with. “Boxing isn’t new to me,” George told Radar Online in an article posted on the celebrity news site last week; he also linked to their story about his debut. Zimmerman began boxing long before the February 2012 incident in which he killed Trayvon Martin and became a nationally notorious figure. The case polarized the country around issues of racial justice, self defense and gun control; Zimmerman eventually walked after a jury acquitted him. His plans to get in the ring are just the latest example of cashing in on his notoriety. A George Zimmerman painting recently sold for over $100,000 (seriously). Some of the proceeds from the event would go to an animal rescue charity, Zimmerman said, while suggesting he might do this more than once. “Obviously if I get my butt kicked around, then no!” he quipped. Speaking of which, a number of celebrities such as The Game and DMX say they will gladly face off against Zimmerman. Just give them that opportunity. In fact, X says he would whomp Zimmerman’s ass on behalf of “every black person who has been done wrong in the system,” then urinate on him. “I am going to beat the living f–k out him,” the rapper told TMZ , adding that “I am breaking every rule in boxing to make sure I f–k him right up.” “Once I am done with him, I am going to whip my d–k out and piss on him, right in his muthaf–kin face. Zimmerman is a piece of s–t and that’s what he needs to drink.” As you might expect, given such vitriol, security is said to be off the hook and the event closed to the public … so no one pulls a Zimmerman on Zimmerman. Like DMX, George has had number of brushes with law enforcement official. He has twice been stopped for speeding, once in Texas and in Florida. In September, Zimmerman was held by police after his estranged wife, Shellie Zimmerman , called authorities saying he threatened her with a gun. He was not charged in the incident, which occurred after she filed for divorce. Then, he was arrested in November on domestic violence charges that were dropped last week after his girlfriend Samantha Scheibe withdrew her complaint.
