Ramonie has to take dialysis for 15 hours after school everyday, which takes a toll not only on her physically, but mentally. She’s not able to do things the average 16-year-old does. Ford Brings “A Different World” To Southwestern Christian College For The Ultimate Homecoming Experience

Source: UWG Ford Brings Ultimate Homecoming Experience To SCC Ford was back at it again with the power moves–this time, at tiny HBCU Southwestern Christian College in Terrell, Texas where they threw the Ultimate Homecoming Takeover day party with a Gospel Explosion concert featuring Grammy-winning collective The Walls Group, award-winning food trucks, karaoke stations and photo ops with Jasmine Guy, Kadeem Hardison, Cree Summer and Darryl Bell who took pics with literally everyone on campus. We had the honor and pleasure of chatting it up with the lively, hilarious and ICONIC cast of culturally legendary ’90s sitcom “A Different World” about everything and more just moments before they, along with Ford’s Multicultural Communications Manager Dee Guerrero, presented a big ‘ole check for $100,000 to Southwestern Christian College Chairman of the Board Dr. Dansby. Now, if you’re wondering how a small school like Southwestern Christian College beat out bigger HBCU titans, well, they showed up and showed out for a 2017 nationwide online competition and WON. If that sounds like an amazing story, it absolutely is, and made the day even more special for a school with a smidge over 100 students. Source: UWG Excited students and alumni were also treated to a panel discussion with the cast on the importance of HBCUs and the role the show had on an entire generation. Whew chil-lay, Ford went all out and even offered gift cards to test drive the F-150 XLT/Limited trucks in partnership with Drive 4 Ur Community which donates $20 for each test drive or ride to the Tom Joyner Foundation to help support HBCUs. Ford’s Ultimate Homecoming Takeover serves as an important initiative that spotlights Ford’s undying commitment to higher education, HBCUs and the growth of African American students. Gary showed the property to several couples who were possibly interested in purchasing the real estate. Things got awkward however when a white couple mentioned that they only know black people who’ve been arrested. “Cause it’s black folks up over here they going to send the police? Oh they going to send him to look at the house and make sure it’s not a drug-infested house. I know the game *****. I know what they trying to do,” Gary says. In addition to Gary gathering the clueless couple, viewers will see major life transitions take place for the rest of the cast. Rickey celebrates his 50th birthday at the roller rink with his family, DJ starts college at Alabama State, Beyonce wrestles with substance and mental health issues in her family and Juicy settles into her new home. “Rickey Smiley For Real” airs Tuesdays at 8/7 C on TV One.

Unless you go onto Netflix with a strategy for what you already know you want to watch, things can get messy real quick. Scrolling through the endless queue of ready-to-stream films and television shows, it’s nearly impossible to come across something you wanna watch–especially since all of the shows Netflix seems to recommend to you have no rhyme or reason based on what you actually watch on your account. Whether you have 45 minutes to spare and spend scrolling through shows or you have some pressing matters to get to that make the search unbearable–there’s gotta be a better way. And as a matter of fact: there is! Now, users of everyone’s favorite streaming service can watch Netflix in a whole new way thanks to hack codes, which cater your searches for more customized and relevant films and TV shows. The full list of 76,000 sub-genres organizes Netflix’s catalog by decade, language, topic, actor or actress, directors, and even relevant adjective.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The new hack cuts a ton of time out of narrowing down what kind of movie or show you’re in the mood for. In addition, depending on where you live, some codes even offer hidden titles you may not have had access to before. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Netflix spokesperson Marlee Tart told Mashable in August, “We categorize our content into thousands of sub-genres to help match the right content to the right member based on their viewing history.” These codes can get you to some more broad areas of Netflix, like the normal mass appeal categories: from romantic comedies (5475) and political dramas (6616) to baseball movies (12339) and crime documentaries (9875). But if users have more definitive tastes, they can search for 20th century period pieces with Meryl Streep (74188) or zombie horror movies (75405). The weirdly specific categories are available in Netflix’s vast catalogue and luckily for us, accessible from any country where Netflix is available. Even more options range from feel-good movies with Elvis Presley (58) and witty detective movies (2346) to Korean crime thrillers (434) and understated independent political dramas (3118).
