The Voice Results: Who Made the Top 11?

Following last week’s live playoffs bloodbath on The Voice, when 12 of the final 24 singers went home, only one got the chop Tuesday. As the competition – as renowned for its bizarre format changes as its talented crop of stars – hits the stretch run, who would survive? After Monday’s always-impressive live performances, the top 12 contestants on Season 10 of The Voice faced elimination last night. For the first time in this cycle, the results Tuesday were determined solely by viewers’ votes and iTunes downloads. No mentors’ help. Coaches Christina Aguilera, Pharrell, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton could only sit, watch, encourage and hope America got it right. Tuesday also saw the return of the Insta-save, in which the bottom two artists sang live, and viewers could vote on Twitter in real time. Heading in, it appeared that Daniel, Emily and Bryan could be at risk for being relegated to the bottom three among the final dozen. Were they? Let’s break down The Voice results … The first artists voted through to the Top 11 were Team Christina’s Alisan Porter and Team Blake’s Adam Wakefield, who killed it Monday. Team Christina’s Bryan Bautista then made it through, along with Team Pharrell’s Daniel Passino, his coach’s major comeback artist. Team Blake’s Paxton Ingram got the nod, and was soon joined by Team Adam’s Shalyah Fearing, the youngest artist left in the hunt. Adam’s protege Laith Al-Saadi then made it through, as did Team Pharrell’s duo of Hannah Huston and Team Christina’s Nick Hagelin. Finally, Team Blake’s classic country artist Mary Sarah advanced, leaving Team Pharrell’s Emily Keener and Team Adam’s Owen Danoff. Those two proceeded to sing for their lives. Keener was  first, singing “Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain” by Willie Nelson, accompanying herself on guitar and playing to her strengths. Danoff, also on his guitar, followed with “Lego House” by Ed Sheeran, which was also in his comfort zone, and it showed. He survived. Emily Keener has been eliminated. According to a new tabloid cover story, Jennifer Aniston has been dumped by Justin Theroux. But there are two pieces of good news for the actress: At least she made it through 990 days of an engagement. At least she isn’t single and expecting, despite various magazines trying to tell us every other month that  Jennifer Aniston is pregnant . An insider – who totally and completely exists and who Life & Style definitely did not conjure up – says Theroux “pulled the plug on [the couple’s] wedding just days before it was to go down.” Talk about a tough break for Jen, huh?!? Apparently the split went down in a most embarrassing fashion, too, as Aniston was on the phone with Theroux, casually talking about wedding menu choices, when he blurted out: “I’m not ready.” That had to be difficult for the actress to hear. If, you know, it had actually happened. Fortunately, a previous tabloid report claimed Aniston got dumped on her wedding day and that break-up never materialized. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West: $250 Million Divorce on the Way?!?

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have made it through 72 days of marriage. But, according to a new tabloid cover story, they won’t make it much longer. The latest issue of In Touch Weekly talks up a “Nasty $250M Divorce” on the way for the couple dubbed Kimye , as they allegedly got involved in the “fight to end all fights” and their union will be over. Kardashian supposedly “wants out” because she’s tired of her husband’s big ego and controlling behavior, an anonymous insider hilarious claims, while the tabloid writes that the pair has never even “lived together full-time.” Kanye is also mad about the Kim Kardashian nude photos that leaked this week because they were snapped (a long time ago) for another man, while he’s been pushing her to “quit” her reality show – and Kim just can’t take it anymore. We’d feel very badly for North West and wonder who will end up as her primary caregiver… if we actually believed a word of this story. But In Touch Weekly also alleged Kim and Kanye’s marriage was over after 58 days , while it also wrote last year that the Kimye wedding was on hold . So you’ll understand if we take the latest report with a grain of salt the size of Kanye’s ego and the size of Kim’s rear end. Did you know that the average woman spends 457 hours shopping in the days leading up to Christmas? Okay, maybe not. But it certainly feels that way to boyfriends and husbands who get dragged along to the mall while their prettier half picks up one item after another after another after another… And now a perfectly named Instagram account (miserable_men/Instagram) has captured some hilarious reactions of those stuck waiting for their wives. Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga: The Feud is Over!

It was entertaining while it lasted, but Radar Online has now confirmed: the rivalry between Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice is over. The sister-in-laws – who have gone at each other hard for many seasons on The Real Housewives of New Jersey – enjoyed a holiday dinner together over the weekend, with Gorga posting a photo of the event on Twitter and writing that the meal “makes me smile.” “You will NOT see any Teresa and Melissa fights this season on RHONJ. Those feuds are over,” an insider tells Radar. Signs of tension easing between Gorga and Giudice were there in August when the former said she has Teresa’s back , with Teresa and her husband facing 50 years in prison for fraud and other financial charges. Just a month prior to that, however, Gorga went off on Giudice for not defending her against cheating allegations. Still, this Radar source teases the next season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey and says viewers shouldn’t expect more Melissa/Teresa fireworks. “The drama is going to come with clashes with the new ladies and not with these two families anymore,” according to this report. “They’ve put that all behind them. Cat Adopts Puppy, Wins Grant For Charity

Earlier this year, a mother cat called Lurlene “adopted” a pit bull puppy called Noland and nursed the little canine back to health after he was abandoned. A humane officer stumbled upon the day-old pit bull covered in fleas in a Cleveland garage, and took the dog to the Cleveland Animal Protective League. There, the group decided to place Noland with Lurlene, who had also just been taken off the streets and had recently given birth to four baby kittens. Molly, Noland’s mother, was discovered later that day looking anxious and famished. She was unable to care for Noland herself, so he stayed with Lurlene. He made it through those difficult first few weeks. Eventually, he was placed in a foster home with puppies his age where he learned how to be a dog. He still visits his “mother” and “siblings” on occasion, however. As a result, the Cleveland APL, which rescued the pair, won a $25,000 grant from the Petco Foundation’s “Holiday Wishes Grant Campaign” contest. “Noland blended in with the family so well, he was even found using the litter box a few times,” Judy Hunter, APL’s director of development, wrote to Petco. Sharon Harvey, APL’s director, said the story of the dog and cat isn’t just ute, but emblematic of the “power of forgiveness and unconditional love and acceptance.” “That’s really what it’s all about, isn’t it?”
