Last Warning: Prince’s Estate Is Furious Cheeto Commander Won’t Stop Playing ‘Purple Rain’ At Rallies

Source: Jeffrey Mayer / Getty Prince Estate Furious Trump Won’t Stop Using ‘Purple Rain’ At Rallies That guy in the White House keeps staring up trouble with musicians who, quite frankly, just aren’t fans of his and don’t play about their art. You would think Cheeto curmudgeon would be more focused on important things–ya know, like his impending impeachment inquiry , running the country, or trying to be a decent human being–but that would be too much to ask. According to reports from TMZ , y’alls lil President was on the road having the time of his life and turning up to Prince’s “Purple Rain” in the process. As is stands, everyone is still pretty clueless how and why this would tie into his re-election campaign theme, but here we are. This unfortunate event unfolded in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the Target theater during a Trump rally. Omg. They are playing Purple Rain at the Trump rally!! That is INSANE!! @PRNFamily @prince #NO #RESIST pic.twitter.com/b2oYmtccY4 — Sara Savoy (@SaraSavoy) October 11, 2019 The crowd looks like they’re enjoying themselves (duh, it’s Prince) but there are still several problems with this. Most importantly; we all know Prince would have never approved of this and on top of that, this isn’t the first time he’s pulled this very move. Princes’ estate has even already told Trump they don’t want him playing any of Prince’s music, at any time, ever. “President Trump played Prince’s “Purple Rain” tonight at a campaign event in Minneapolis despite confirming a year ago that the campaign would not use Prince’s music. The Prince Estate will never give permission to President Trump to use Prince’s songs.” This marks one year to the day that Prince’s estate wrote a letter to the Cheeto-in-Chief and telling him not to play his music, and yet, he did it again. At this point, it seems like some calculated shade and pettiness is afoot. Hopefully, the legend’s estate understands now that they need to take action–not just send warnings–as we know this guy doesn’t play by the rules.

Jason Weaver Turned Down $2M For OG ‘The Lion King’ To Collect Future Royalties

Source: Leon Bennett / Getty Jason Weaver’s career might not be today what it was back in the 90’s when he was popping up on shows like Smart Guy and films like Drumline (crazy underappreciated joint). But fret not for he’s still collecting bread from one of his greatest performances ever, Simba in The Lion King . That’s right, the same guy who played a young Michael Jackson in the 1992 mini-series, The Jacksons: An American Dream, also voiced your favorite cartoon lion from the early 90’s not named Tony. Luckily Weaver’s mother was showing and proving that she wasn’t raising no fool and instead of taking a $2 million payday from Disney, she felt it better if they negotiated a contract which included future royalties from the upcoming film even though “this was definitely at a time when Disney wasn’t doing those kind of deals.” In an interview on Vlad TV, Jason revealed that thanks to his mama he’s still getting checks cut by Disney whose The Lion King seems to be on TV every damn weekend. “Disney had a reputation of that, for like re-releasing stuff. I think at that time they had put out  Sleeping Beauty  and some of their old catalog from when Walt Disney was alive. They were releasing that stuff when they were releasing the new Disney stuff, so [Weaver’s mother] was able to see the playing field and go, ‘Wait a minute, this is going to make a lot of money over time, so what happens when my son turns 40? Is he going to be able to get a check for this when they eventually re-release this.” Talk about motherly instincts. After negotiating a new deal for his role in the animated film, Jason walked away with a cool $100K and future royalties for his work. Of course he eventually made back the $2 million that was originally turned down but none of this would’ve been made possible without some good ol’ motherly advice. Mama definitely knows best. Check out the interview below and never forget when you see The Lion King playing on TV, Jason Weaver getting paaaiiiid.

She’s With Kap: Rihanna Says She Curved Super Bowl Because Of Colin Kaepernick

Source: WENN/Avalon / WENN Rihanna is still a real one. In a recent interview, the Bajan singer and mogul confirmed that she passed on performing at the 2019 Super Bowl specifically and unequivocally because of Colin Kaepernick. By now you should know, Kap has been essentially blackballed by the NFL as a consequence of protesting injustice by kneeling while the National Anthem was played before football games. Many have shown support for Kaepernick for sacrificing his career, including Rihanna. In a new cover story with Vogue for its November 2019 issue, Rihanna let her rationale for curving the NFL be known. “I couldn’t dare do that. For what? Who gains from that? Not my people,” Rihanna told the publication. “I just couldn’t be a sellout. I couldn’t be an enabler.” She added, “There’s things within that organization that I do not agree with at all, and I was not about to go and be of service to them in any way.” Nevertheless, her buddy JAY-Z has teamed with the NFL . But don’t bank on Rihanna being one of the acts Roc Nation books for an NFL performance in the name of social justice. Salute this Queen. Peep what more of what she had to say on variety of topics right here . Let us know what you think of Rih Rih’s decision in the comments.

Rumors previously swirled that she turned down an opportunity to perform during halftime and Rih told VOGUE it’s “absolutely true” because she didn’t want to be a “sellout” and go against Colin Kaepernick. WELP–sorry, Hov ! “I couldn’t dare do that,” Rihanna said of the halftime show. “For what? Who gains from that? Not my people. I just couldn’t be a sellout. I couldn’t be an enabler. There’s things within that organization that I do not agree with at all, and I was not about to go and be of service to them in any way.” OOOOP! That’s not the only part of the interview that’s interesting, however, people are pointing out that the interviewer Abby Aguire blatantly confessed that she “didn’t have time to prepare questions” for Rih—-SERIOUSlY?! “Normally I bring a list of questions, but I didn’t have time to prepare one, which I make a split-second decision to confess. “I’m winging it, so you have to help me,” I say nervously. Rihanna flashes a grin that is somehow both reassuring and mischievous. “Aren’t we all?” she says.” Uhhh….now if a blac…. Rihanna Naked of the Day

Rihanna is releasing some kind of book, and these are in the book, so it is not the standard fake leaked nudes situation, where the celebs act like some hacker dude figured out their email and icloud details to release their cunt to the world, this is more the “I was a teen sex worker in Barbados, who sexualized myself at a young age for execs, got sent to America, built an audience with lame music, before getting beat by a man and turning edgy enough to become a huge fucking star”….and as that all worked itself out she did a lot of scandalous shoots to continue with content that told her story of being some sexual being….empowered…. So the younger titty pics of tits we’ve already seen because she’s that kind of popstar, mogul, empire, QUEEN OF BARBADOS – you know – she’s done some racier shit in the past and now that she’s fat it’s good to showcase to the world presented as art and I’m totally into that concept because any reason to see a nude is a good reason to me. MODEL MONDAY: Tazah Richardson Is Liberated, Living Her Best Life, And Looking Out For Black Girls

Source: Kia Caldwell / Kia Caldwell Name: Tazah Richardson IG: @tazahthemodelvixen Agency: Van Zandt Management Claim To Fame: Tazah Richardson went from staring at models in store windows to showing up on the cover of Model World Magazine.  Growing up as a plus-size child with slight difficulties learning in Northwest D.C. Tazah Richardson was faced with judgement everywhere she turned. Everything from her academic performance to her address was criticized by the people around her, with her size being the primary offender. She told HelloBeautiful how the constant judgement impacted her and how she overcame it in an exclusive interview.  “I had really low self-esteem. As a kid I stayed back in the first grade, and I was much bigger than all the other kids. In the second grade I was bigger than my second grade teacher which was super weird and I got teased a lot. As a kid I didn’t have very many friends .”  The children in her life weren’t the only ones who hurled negative comments at Richardson. As she navigated her childhood in a neighborhood considered “the ghetto ,” she encountered the effects of an educational system padded by those without a genuine interest in encouraging children.  View this post on Instagram Nothing to see here just me crushing on myself as usual #WCW : @kiacaldwellphoto : #MUATazah . . . #ModelTazah #FaceOfNCD #PlusModel #CurveModel #CurvyModel #SizeSexy #FreelanceModel #InternationalModel #PrintModel #RunwayModel #CoverModel #DMVModel #HonorYourCurves #CelebrateMySize #GoldenConfidence #CurvesNStyle #PMMModelSearch #PMMModelSpotlight #PMMLoveMyBody #BigHairDontCare #Portfolio #NewWork #CurvyBombshell #WithTheseCurves A post shared by Tazah Richardson (@tazahthemodelvixen) on Aug 28, 2019 at 7:53am PDT When she went to inquire about joining the band in middle school she was slammed by the leader immediately.  “I’ll never forget it. My mom was in the band, my dad was in the band, my mom was a majorette so I already knew how to twirl. I could twirl circles around the girls and when I went to her to ask her about being in the band she said ‘I got four words for you baby. Can’t fit the uniform.’ That crushed me.”   “I was told I was too big in junior high school and high school even though I could dance just as good as the other girls. I could twirl the baton just as good as the other girls. I was never given an opportunity they told me I could play the clarinet.” The cruelty she was faced with actually had a bright side. “So I played clarinet and it got me to college .” View this post on Instagram 5 months ago a piece of me died. Cincinnati Might Be Outlawing Natural Hair Discrimination

Read the original post:

Source: FG Trade / Getty Cincinnati City Councilman Chris Seelbach wants to propose a law that would prevent discrimination against natural hair and hairstyles in relation to race. The Councilman told the Cincinnati Enquirer, “People of color have been forced to regard natural and popular hairstyles – such as bantu knots , box braids , cornrows, dreadlocks , or Afros – as liabilities in the workplace, housing and public accommodations.” The law would allow the city to investigate complaints of discrimination against natural hair and hairstyles. If discrimination is found, there is a fine of up to $1000.00 (a $100.00 per day) until the discriminatory practice is corrected. There will be a public discussion on the proposal scheduled for Tuesday with the City Council’s Arts, Youth & Inclusion Committee. The council will vote on a decision on Wednesday. Earlier this year, California passed The Crown Act , a law preventing discrimination for natural hair. NYC released an anti-hair discrimination guideline for people of color and then banned discrimination against natural hair and hairstyles. It’s great to see that states and cities are standing up to protect people of color and allow them the freedom to wear their hairstyles in the manner they choose. Historically, Black people have been inhibited from wearing the hairstyle of their choice in public and live in the fear of being turned down from a job for rocking their natural tresses. We are just moving towards a time where all natural hair textures, particularly Type 4 are being catered to in society and seen more in ads. It’s time for workplaces to follow suit. Beauties, what do you think? Should more states be pushing to ban natural hair discrimination? Why or why not? Sound off in the comment section!
