Warren Buffett NCAA Perfect Bracket Challenge: It’s Already Over! No Billion For You!

None of the 8.7 million entrants were still in the hunt to win Warren Buffett’s $1 billion basketball challenge … after the second day of the NCAA Tournament. The famed investor promised $1 billion to anyone who could fill out the perfect bracket – every game, from start to finish – in this year’s tournament. He won’t be sweating it out even on the first weekend. After a single game on the NCAA March Madness tournament’s first day, when Dayton upset Ohio State, more than 80 percent of hopefuls were out. Mercer’s win over Duke Friday finished off almost everyone else. Three players with perfect brackets remained early Friday night, but after the late games, the standings showed no one in the running for the big prize. It took just 25 games for every single person to be eliminated. Similiarly, at ESPN, only 18,741 of 11.01 million people (or 0.17 percent) got all 16 games right on the first day, ESPN’s Kevin Ota told ABC News. After two days … no one was left standing there either. The only other heartening news for Buffett’s busted bracket entries? A consolation prize is still up for grabs if you’re doing particularly well thus far. The 20 people who project the tournament’s top 20 most accurate “imperfect brackets” are still eligible to receive $100,000 each from Quicken Loans! That’s enough to keep you glued to the TV.

Seth Rogen and James Franco Mock Kimye Vogue Cover

As Seth Rogen said in a caption to the following photo, this simply “had to be done.” A day after the Kim Kardashian Vogue cover hit the Internet, Rogen Tweeted a Photoshopped image of himself and James Franco once again spoofing the reality star and Kanye West. The actors, of course, also parodied Kim and Kanye’s Bound 2 music video back in November. In that instance, Kim reacted to the mocking well, writing that Rogen and Franco “nailed it” and saying they’re version was “sooo funny.” But will she be as amused this time around, considering an appearance in Vogue marks a dream come true for Kim ? We’ll see. Neither Kardashian nor West have yet commented on this edited version of their cover. Allow us to go ahead and do so, however: HA!!! Anita Baker Arrest Warrant Issued; Singer Alleges Conspiracy By Contractor, Judge

Singer Anita Baker is speaking out, alleging that she is the victim of a sinister conspiracy which led police to take out a warrant for her arrest this week. A Detroit judge issued the warrant for the Grammy-winning singer after she supposedly failed to show up in court over a dispute with a home contractor. Anita hired Ray Smith Painting and Decorating in 2009 to fix storm damage to her home, paying $60,000 up front for a $75,000 job. The issue? Baker says Smith didn’t finish the job, and what he did do was beyond bad. So much so that she finished it herself. Still, he’s suing her for the balance. She never even got served with legal papers, she claims, so when she no-showed the court date, she didn’t realize she was no-showing anything. When that happens, the judge can enter a default judgment, which happened here, ordering her to pay the $15,000. Which she didn’t do, of course. The contractor then tried to haul Anita Baker into court and grill her about where she kept her money, so he could go after it to satisfy the judgment. The contractor claims he slapped the notice on her front door; Anita says she was on tour, never saw a notice and doesn’t believe it was ever there. He got arrested after this display. 17. Kate Major Kate Major has been arrested for DUI after trying to drive away from a violent argument with Michael Lohan. 18. Chief Keef Chief Keef was arrested for DUI in March … two weeks after leaving rehab. 19. Jim Irsay Jim Irsay is the owner of the Colts. He was arrested in 2014 for drunk driving. 20. Anita Baker An arrest warrant was issued for singer Anita Baker after no-showing a number of court dates. As a result, Anita was a no-show a second time for that hearing, and on Wednesday, the judge issued the arrest warrant, leaving her shocked. “I’ve never been in trouble with the law. I’m terrified,” she said. Baker says this isn’t the first time someone has pulled this on her, as she’s been served with legal papers and lost the case by default before. It’s not clear for what, but Anita’s lawyer tells TMZ that he’s going to court next week to get the warrant lifted and the default judgment thrown out. We’ll see how successful he is in that pursuit.

The Bachelor in Paradise: Spinoff Coming This Summer to ABC!

The Bachelor is introducing a new spinoff this summer, entitled Bachelor in Paradise … seriously. ABC will air a six-episode season after The Bachelorette finale. The show will be similar in format to ABC’s Bachelor Pad, which was canceled last year, only Bachelor in Paradise will be filmed in a tropical destination. The network confirmed the spinoff to EW in a statement: “The romantic dating series will feature new twists, shocking surprises, unexpected guests and some of the most unlikely relationships in Bachelor history.” “Plus the usual romance, drama and tears we’ve come to expect from The Bachelor franchise. It all comes together in the romantic TV event of the summer.” Bachelor in Paradise stars will be based in a remote “romantic paradise,” where they will compete to find their true loves, or at least a hot hookup. Naturally, ABC is expected to bring back villains and fan favorites from prior seasons to compete against and possibly find significant others. No, Juan Pablo Galavis and Nikki Ferrell won’t be on it … we don’t think. As on The Bachelor, the spinoff will include a rose ceremony, although the format may be slightly different from the weekly sending home of a star. Details are scarce, but we’ll find them out soon enough. After Andi Dorfman is done with her emotional and romantic “journey” this summer, we’ll head to Paradise for even more Bachelor shenanigans. Nikki Farrell: The Bachelor Frontrunner Already?

The Bachelor’s 18th season on ABC is just a few episodes old, but already, one Bachelorette looks to be rising to the top of the competition: Nikki Farrell. To those avid readers of The Bachelor spoilers , this is not surprising. We won’t give away too much here, but you can follow the link to learn more. What we will say is that she’s not getting sent home anytime soon, which should be obvious if you’ve observed how she makes Juan Pablo Galavis swoon. Juan Pablo’s reception of her during the season premiere ( watch The Bachelor online to see that and the next two episodes) appeared to set the tone. The 26-year-old, blonde Missouri native, a pediatric nurse and part-time model, did not secure the first impression rose, she was noticed for sure. Nikki Farrell presented him with a stethoscope so that he could “hear how nervous and excited she was.” JPG was excited too, not-so-subtly feeling her up. In each of the next two weeks, she’s won the group date rose, no doubt sparking jealousy among the rest of the women … and that’s only the beginning. Soothsayer Reality Steve suggests that Farrell may just turn out to be the “villain” – the least liked woman in the house on Season 18 of The Bachelor . If she also won the final rose, it would make her a member of an exclusive club with the likes of Vienna Girardi, Shayne Lamas and Courtney Robertson. None of whom stayed engaged to The Bachelor , it’s worth noting. It remains to be seen if Nikki Farrell makes it all the way, or whether she (or whomever wins this season) stays together with Juan Pablo Galavis . We would have to bet against that, if only because of statistics. The track record just isn’t good, despite a recent uptick. Ashley Hebert: J.P. Rosenbaum is My Rock!

J.P. Rosenbaum certainly gave Ashley Hebert – and TV audiences across the country – a happy ending last night when he nervously popped the question. The 26-year-old dental student from Philadelphia accepted J.P.’s marriage proposal immediately. From a man she calls “my rock,” was there ever a doubt? “We complement each other so well,” Hebert said today on Good Morning America, the couple’s first, live TV appearance together as an engaged couple. Ashley on JP: “He’s exactly what I’ve been looking for.” The couple announced that Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum will soon be living in the same city after she relocates to New York in the near future. That said, they have no plans to rush down the aisle. “She’s going to move to New York City, finish up school,” J.P. said. “We’re going to find a place, she’ll get a job, we’ll get settled and then we’re going to talk about a wedding … Maybe fall of next year, or end of next year.” The Bachelorette season finale is in the books, but for Ashley, 26, and J.P., 34, they feel that only now can their lives can finally begin. While Rosenbaum delivered his proposal to Hebert months ago in Fiji, proclaiming to her, “You mean the world to me and I want to be with you forever,” the duo were not able to publicly celebrate their engagement be. “It was kind of fun at first, to keep the secret,” Hebert said on GMA . “But then, towards the end, we were ready to kind of come out in the open.” Perhaps someone not ready for the couple to come out, however, was the man who was left standing in Fiji with an unclaimed engagement ring, 28-year-old winemaker Ben Flajnik, whose proposal Hebert rejected. “She didn’t have what we have with any other guy,” Rosenbaum said of any worries he had that Hebert would choose Flajnik over him. “For the most part, I knew that she didn’t have what we had with anyone else.” What do you think?
