Dancing with the Stars Results: A Shocking Elimination!

What. A. Shocker. Coming off an evening in which two couples earned perfect 30s on Dancing with the Stars , the ABC competition went ahead and eliminated one of those tandems last night. Wait… what?!? The results show kicked off with the three lowest-scoring duos from Monday – Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke, and Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy – all being deemed safe. It then came down to Apolo Ohno and Sabrina Bryan as the pair of celebrities on the chopping block, despite their dazzling routines only 24 hours earlier. And, in the end, Bryan got the boot. Said the singer upon learning the news: “I’m grateful for this experience and Dancing With the Stars has been honestly an absolute dream. Thank you guys so much… I did my absolute best.” WOW. Whitney Houston threw a “diva” tantrum by refusing to buckle up on a Delta flight in Atlanta yesterday. According to TMZ , Whitney pretty much flipped the bird to the flight attendant when she asked the singer to fasten her seat belt before departure. When Houston ignored the request, another flight attendant stepped in and told Whit that if she didn’t comply with FAA rules she would have to deplane the flight. Whitney’s rep said the singer “overreacted a little bit after missing an earlier flight but she’s still 100% sober and was on the way to Detroit for her first day of shooting a new movie.” And did you know that Ray J also moved to the ATL this weekend??? Hmmm…. The star received drug and alcohol treatment earlier this year in a bid to clean up her life. Whitney has landed a role in a remake of Sparkle, which focuses on three sisters who begin singing in a Harlem choir before finding fame in a girl group in the late 50s. R. Fantasia Says ‘Nobody Was There To Help Me’

‘A lot of times [industry people] are there to get what they can get,’ singer says on ‘Wendy Williams Show.’ By James Dinh Fantasia on “The Wendy Williams Show” Friday Photo: Talk WW Production, Inc It’s been one month since Fantasia’s suicide attempt and it seems the pain of that experience is still fresh. The singer has been steadily promoting her new album, Back to Me, and when she visited “The Wendy Williams Show” on Friday (September 10) she opened up about her recent drug overdose and said many members of her professional entourage had left her side. “At the time, I wasn’t really thinking about anybody,” Fantasia told host Wendy Williams when asked whether she had considered daughter Zion. “Nobody knows how heavy it gets. You see the glitz and the glamour and you think, ‘They got it, they got it all,’ but a lot of times when you come into this industry you have people that say that they are there for you, but a lot of times they are just there to get what they can get or because money is involved,” she said, starting to cry. The single mom revealed that many of her supposed confidants were nowhere to be found during her time of need. “I am 26 years old, and so many times, I’ve looked around and noticed that everybody that started with me is now gone and nobody was there to help me clean it up. So I had to do it all by myself.” Fantasia’s overdose occurred shortly after a lawsuit was filed by the wife of Antwaun Cook against the songstress charging that she had been in an adulterous relationship with Cook. Cook’s lawyer, Nicole Sodoma said the singer was not responsible for breaking up the marriage. “He knew Fantasia Barrino but the failure of his marriage can in no way be blamed on anyone except the two people that were a part of the union — Paula and Antwaun,” Sodoma said in a statement. The singer is focused now on moving past her dark period by speaking openly about her story in an effort to connect with her fans. Lady Gaga Thanks Fans For Twitter Crown

After steadily gaining on Britney Spears, who until recently was the most-followed user on the social-networking site, Gaga surpassed her fellow pop supernova over the weekend by landing over 5.7 million followers. At press time, Gaga’s Twitter army clocked in at 5,726,168 deep, besting Brit, who had 5,696,275 followers. Just days ago, the chart-toppers were neck-and-neck, with Spears boasting 5,646,028 Twitter peeps to Gaga’s 5,635,460. When Gaga learned she had dethroned Spears, she took to the Internet to thank the people who made it all possible: her fans. In a video posted online, Gaga doles out heaps of “monster” love to her followers for solidifying her digital dominance. Sporting a lace headpiece adorned with a sequined Twitter logo and an ornamental Gaga-fied version of the site’s familiar bird symbol, the singer addressed her nearly 6 million followers. “Hello world, this is Lady Gaga, queen of Twitter,” said the singer, with a flourish of an illuminated scepter and a sprinkle of glitter; a move that was part-Elizabethan royalty and part-Glinda the Good Witch. “I wanted to thank all my beautiful little monsters for following me. Thank you for beginning my reign as Twitter queen.” The singer then wished her Twitter-dom only the most enjoyable of experiences when logging onto the micro-blogging site. “May you always have soft cuticles while tweeting,” Gaga said wistfully. “May you never have carpal tunnel.” The “Alejandro” singer, who filmed the clip backstage at her Monster Ball Tour stop in Tacoma, Washington, promised to keep the Twitter nonsense to a minimum. “I vow never to partake in celebrity online shenanigans,” Gaga said. “And I vow to always tweet and tweet again.” Before signing off, Gaga left her legions of viral fans with a few words of encouragement. “Just remember that I love you,” Gaga said. “And love you yourself. Drake Gets ‘Fancy’ With T.I. And Swizz Beatz On Video Set

By Mawuse Ziegbe, with reporting by James “FLX” Smith Drake Photo: MTV News Drake’s upcoming “Fancy” video features a couple of stars known for cranking out hard-hitting hip-hop, but this time, the Toronto MC enlisted T.I. and Swizz Beatz to craft a sexy ode to the ladies. “It’s a dedication to the ladies who take pride in being the flyest and finest that there are out there to be noticed,” T.I. told MTV News on the set of the sleek clip, which reflects the song’s sultry vibe. The video features Drizzy, Tip and Swizz in all-black everything, spitting suave lyrics and flanked by leggy dancers in formfitting bodysuits. In his cool Atlanta drawl, T.I. chatted about participating in the collabo and sang the praises of Drake and Swizzy. “I was offered the opportunity and given the pleasure to be a part of this monstrosity of a record by young Drizzy and my big homie O.G., player, partner Swizz Bizzy,” Tip said. “I’m honored, privileged and absolutely pleased to be a part of this extravaganza that you are witnessing before you here today.” Anthony Mandler, who has helmed all the clips from Drizzy’s Thank Me Later, said the singer/MC’s approach to his work influences how the director develops the accompanying visuals. “For me, there’s a lot of pressure, because I feel like he’s creating music from a place that’s so pure and so unique and so original that it pushes me to try to create imagery that stands in the same zone,” Mandler said. Drake also lavished Mandler with respect and said his work with the director has changed his perspective when it comes to making videos. “As far as me evolving as a visual artist, I started in a place where visuals weren’t my strongest aspect. By Adam Rosenberg, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Kristen Stewart Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images Plans for a Hollywood-produced adaptation of Stieg Larsson’s book “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” and its two “Millennium Trilogy” follow-ups — “The Girl Who Played With Fire” and “The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest” — have been ramping up lately. Producer Scott Rudin and filmmaker David Fincher are in pre-production for the first movie now and expected to wrap up the casting soon. One of the names mentioned as a contender for the lead role of Lisbeth Salander is “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart. When MTV News spoke to Stewart about “Dragon Tattoo” at Thursday night’s red-carpet premiere of “Eclipse,” she sounded as unsure as anyone else about who would star in the movie. But her own schedule might prevent her from taking on the role of the diminutive-but-tough-as-nails punk computer hacker. “I think I’m going to be working,” Stewart said. “I’m booked for, like, the next six months, but it’s an incredible project. I hope someone really cool does it, because I can’t wait to see it. But I don’t know if it’s going to be me.” Stewart said she hasn’t even met with Fincher. “I’m working, and he’s really busy,” she said. Stewart’s a realist though; she’s been in Hollywood for long enough to understand that things can change, anything can happen. “Who knows? Movies push all the time.” Carey Mulligan, Keira Knightley and Natalie Portman have also expressed interest in starring in the adaptation of the Swedish thriller. According to TheWrap.com , Daniel Craig is in talks to star as Mikael Blomkvist, a journalist who’s hired to find a woman who has been missing for 40 years. “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” has already been the subject of an adaptation from Danish director Niels Arden Oplev. The critically acclaimed movie opened in Denmark and Sweden in February 2009 and was released in the United States earlier this year. Not surprisingly, Amy Winehouse caused a bit of a stir while playing bartender at The Dublin Castle in London. A source said the singer served a customer his drink when he said: “At least she’s quicker at pulling pints than she is at writing songs.” Ouch!
