An anonymous source tells ESPN that the Manti Te’o girlfriend hoax was perpetrated entirely by Ronaiah Tuiasosopo , and that the star Notre Dame linebacker played no role at all in the widely-publicized scam. The unnamed woman alleges to be an acquaintance of Tuiasosopo. She told the network that this 22-year old California resident phoned her in early December and offered up a tearful confession. “He told me that Manti was not involved at all, he was a victim… The girlfriend was a lie, the accident was a lie, the leukemia was a lie,” said the woman. “He was crying, he was literally crying, he’s like ‘I know, I know what I have to do.'” Tuiasosopo supposedly said he had “Catfished” not just Te’o, but multiple others as well over the years. Outside the Lines , meanwhile, spoke to a pair of individuals who also claim they had a hoax pulled over on them – both by Tuiasosopo and both using the name Lennay Kekua. Tuiasosopo has not commented publicly since this story came out and his name became linked with Te’o, Kekua and the entire sordid mess. The original Deadspin.com article cited Tuiasosopo as playing a role in the situation, but also quoted an insider who was “80%” sure he had been working with Manti. Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas testified at former teammate Perrish Cox’s sexual assault trial Wednesday, saying that Cox carried a sleeping woman into his bed and then told Thomas, “I think she’s ready.” Cox is accused of sexually assaulting the woman, who testified earlier Wednesday. Both the woman and Thomas told jurors they kissed on an air mattress at Cox’s apartment after meeting Cox and Cox’s girlfriend at a club. Thomas said the woman fell asleep, and he dismissed Cox’s suggestion, saying he didn’t want to have sex with the woman because she was drunk. “I wanted to have sex with her but I didn’t,” Thomas testified. “We hadn’t done nothing before. I wasn’t going to try nothing that night because she had been drinking. She had got drunk.” Cox’s lawyer, Harvey Steinberg, objected to Thomas’ testimony because he hadn’t used the “she’s ready” phrase in a previous interview and asked for a mistrial. The judge rejected that. Thomas testified that Cox then sat with him in the living room for a while. He said the woman was still in the bedroom when he left about an hour later. The woman testified that she had a fuzzy memory of what happened that night and suspected she had been drugged after she woke up feeling sick the next day. Under questioning from Cox’s attorney, the woman said if something had happened with Thomas, she wouldn’t have considered it rape. “It wouldn’t have been fine but I wouldn’t have seen it as rape if he admitted it,” she said, referring to Thomas. She said Thomas denied that anything had happened. Later, she found out she was pregnant, and she contacted authorities Oct. 28, 2010. A DNA analyst testified that a paternity test using a sample taken from the woman’s placenta showed that Cox was the father, with more than 99 percent certainty. Thomas and Cox’s roommate, Cassius Vaughn, who was asleep in the apartment at the time of the alleged assault, also submitted DNA samples and were ruled out as the father. Steinberg rebutted the expert’s testimony by suggesting the sample may have been contaminated because it was an expedited request. Prosecutors Chris Gallo and Bob Chappell present a case that’s straightforward: Cox denies having sex with the woman, who can’t recall having sex that night but became pregnant and Cox’s DNA matched the fetus. But Steinberg, through cross examination of the prosecutors’ witnesses, paints a picture of partying and failed sexual relations between Thomas and the woman, and possible sexual relations between the woman and Cox’s girlfriend, Carthy Che. Thomas testified that the alleged victim was the aggressor when she jumped in the front seat with him and they started kissing as they drove with Cox and Che to Cox’s apartment. The alleged victim testified that she didn’t think she was drunk because she said she could have between 10 and 15 drinks without blacking out. Che also testified but rambled at times and couldn’t recall whether she spoke to an investigator who was sitting in the courtroom. In a question sent through Douglas County District Judge Paul King, jurors asked whether she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Thomas said the woman and Che appeared fine and were able to walk up the stairs to the apartment. Thomas sent the woman a text message around noon that day to ask if she remembered what happened earlier, which the woman told police she found suspicious. Thomas said he sent the text after Vaughn told him at practice that Che and the accuser had “girl-on-girl action.” “I asked if she hooked up with Che,” Thomas testified. He said he stopped texting her after she didn’t respond to about five messages. Cox has pleaded not guilty to one count of sexual assault while the victim was physically helpless and one count of sexual assault while the victim was incapable of determining the nature of the conduct. The body of a 23-year-old pregnant woman was discovered in the basement of a woman who had been pretending to be pregnant for months… She had been cut open and the unborn fetus was removed. A Wisconsin woman was arrested after allegedly killing a pregnant mother, cutting her baby from the womb and telling cops the child was hers. Milwaukee police are releasing very few details of the incident, including the name of the suspect, but say it was a case of ‘foetal abduction’. The family of the victim later identified her as Maritza Ramirez-Cruz, 23, who was expecting her fourth child that she planned to name Omar. He said emergency services responded to a call on Thursday from a house near 7th and Mitchell Streets in suburban Milwaukee. The suspect said that she had just given birth to the baby, and the child was not breathing. Paramedics were unable to revive the boy and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was taken to the hospital but, after an autopsy of the full-term baby – and medical examinations of the woman herself – detectives became suspicious of her story. Chief Flynn said: ‘During the ensuing investigations, detectives determined that the 33-year-old woman was not, in fact, the birth mother of the baby.’ Police returned to the address the following day and found Ramirez-Cruz’s mutilated body in the basement. Chief Flynn said: ‘Evidence at the scene indicated that she had been fatally injured there, and that the baby had been removed from her womb by force. Chief Flynn did not elaborate on how the older and younger woman came into contact with each other, except to say that there was no evidence that the two were acquainted before Thursday. Police spokeswoman Anne E. Schwartz told MailOnline there is no indication that Ramirez-Cruz knew the 33-year-old suspect. Local residents and neighbours have been shocked by the brutal killing, and many cannot believe police have the right person in custody. On Sunday night, Ramirez-Cruz’s husband Christian Mercado told WTMJ that his wife was a ‘good person.’ Because he doesn’t speak English, Mr Mercado’s stepmother Darla Guiterrez translated for him. She said: ‘We still can’t believe it. We know it’s true but we can’t believe it and the whole family is taking it real hard.’ Jacqueline Bonilla, whose daughter lives next-door to the suspect, told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: ‘She was acting like she was [pregnant]. ‘She’d push her belly out and I’d say, “Oh, she’s pregnant.”‘ Another neighbour, Keila Perez, claimed the suspect is the godmother to her daughter. ‘From what I know she had a baby, she had baby stuff in there, she has a car seat and everything in there. Chief Flynn said: ‘We are confident that we have the person responsible.’ Neighbors said the suspect claimed to have been pregnant for months. Ms Perez said the woman had been talking about pregnancy, and had even shown her a sonogram of the baby. She was expecting to deliver the baby by Caesarean section in coming weeks but had called Ms Perez around noon on Thursday to say she was having contractions. She said the woman’s three other children ranged in age from five to 14, and her current boyfriend was not their father. Kabul, Afghanistan (CNN) — The Taliban has executed a pregnant widow accused of adultery in western Afghanistan, provincial and district officials said Monday. The 47-year-old woman, Sanam Gul, also known as Sanam Bibi, was killed in Badghis province Saturday morning, said Ashrafuddin Majidi, the provincial governor's spokesman. The district governor of Qades, Hashim Habibi, confirmed the execution. He said the woman was accused of adultery that left her pregnant. The Taliban shadow district governor, Mullah Abdul Hakim, and his judge ordered the woman to be executed, he said. Mohammad Yousuf, a Taliban commander, carried out the execution, shooting the woman in her head, Habibi said. The International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan condemned the killing. “This tragic gruesome brutality is an example of Taliban justice,” said U.S. Army Col.
