KKK: Authorities Discover Underground White Supremacist Network In San Francisco

“ Racism still exists, they just be concealing it”… in one of the most tolerant cities in the country? Authorities say the number of white supremacist groups in San Francisco is a serious and expanding. Last November, two Mexican nationals were attacked outside a bar in the tTenderloin by a group of white supremacists yelling as they beat one of the men unconscious. Three men were arrested. One of the men, Anthony Weston, testified against the other two. “In exchange for giving us the information about skin heads moving here to San Francisco he was offered a plea bargain,” San Francisco Assistant District Attorney Victor Hwang said. Weston served 10 months in prison. The other two have not been sentenced. But Weston gave investigators information about white supremacist groups in San Francisco. Investigators also found Nazi and white supremacists paraphernalia inside one of the attacker’s apartment. According to San Francisco District Attorney George Gascon, there are three groups operating in the city. “We have probably in excess of 40 to 50 individuals that are documented white supremacists and nearly another 150 or so that are associates that are operating within the city,” Gascon said. The district attorney’s office says they are involved in drug trafficking, identity theft and other crimes. Most of them belonged to a white supremacist group in prison and have moved to San Francisco. Wow, San Fran… Can’t say we’re totally surprised though.

San Francisco: Smut Capital of America

Hey San Franciscans! Do you like smut? Of course you do, you’re reading the Mr. Skin blog. Well, you’re in luck, because the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts is giving the art of skinema some artsy-fartsy “credibility” with its new nude series, Smut Capital of America: San Francisco’s Sex Cinema Revolution . The series celebrates San Francisco’s role as the first city in the United States to effectively legalize pornography in the late 60’s, as documented in filmmaker Michael Stabile ‘s as-yet unfinished documentary Smut Capital of America . San Francisco being San Francisco, there are some sausage-on-sausage skinema screenings that most Mr. Skin fans will probably want to skip, but for the connoisseur of cooch there’s still a variety of vaginal delights to be had: On July 21 at 7:30, Yerba Buena will be screening Pornography in Denmark , a 1969 film that sexplores the then-taboo topic of pornography by showing dozens of Danish girls (Denmark was the first country to decriminalize pornography) doinking dudes and snacking on each others’ Scandinavian snatches. Then on August 25 at 7:30, Yerba Buena will be screening Resurrection of Eve (1973), a classic sexample of ’70s smut starring Behind the Green Door ‘s Marilyn Chambers as a woman who discovers the joy of orgies after a serious car accident. Marilyn is xxx-plosive in this film, considered one of the best by legendary porn purveyors The Mitchell Brothers. So if you find yourself in the City by the Bay this summer, stroll on down to the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and slap your sausage in style with these all-time classics of the skinema. Just wait until after the screening, wouldja?

Current San Francisco Law Makes Growing Medical Marijuana Easier Than Food Crops But it May Be Soon to Change

photo: Sara Novak If you were to choose a city on the map known for the best food in the U.S., especially farm-to-fork dining, San Francisco would likely make your list. Goats Spotted in The Wild San Francisco

Photo: “Anna”, via MuniDiaries The Original Lawnmower What’s not to like about using goats to clear weeds and brush? It’s a very green and low-tech way to do landscaping. We’ve posted about it a few times before: There’s the Rent-a-Goat company that allows you to lease a herd just when you need it, there’s also Google’s goats , and even

Cool Green Bus Terminal Coming to San Francisco

An artist’s conception of the green new Transbay Terminal being built in San Francisco. Image via Inhabitat . One of my favorite things to do in Turkey is go down to the main otogar (bus station), ask around for buses to interesting destinations, and hop on. The station itself is no great shakes architecturally or anything, but I love the hustle and bustle and the feeling that a whole country’s worth of options is open to me. That sense of possibility and movement draws me to trans… Read the full story on TreeHugger
