Kate Middleton Taunts Meghan Markle: Parenthood Can Be Tough, You Know?!?

Kate Middleton has broken her silence on the latest Royal Baby. And one could read a whole lot into her take on the newborn – or, more specifically, the newborn’s mother – if one really wanted to do so. A day after  Meghan Markle and Prince Harry welcomed a son into the world, Middleton spoke briefly to reporters about the very young man who is now seventh in line for the British throne. “It’s really exciting for both of them,” she told reporters on Tuesday, before maybe growing a little passive aggressive and adding: “These next few weeks, it’s always very daunting first time around so wish them all the best. You caught that, right? Yes, Middleton is sending her best wishes to her brother-in-law and his polarizing wife. But she’s also subtly reminding them that she already has three kids and she knows all about this parenthood thing and, hey, it can be a bit difficult… just in case they weren’t already aware of this fact. Middleton added that she knows all about having kids in the spring (Prince Louis was born last year on April 23, while Princess Charlotte celebrated her fourth birthday on May 2), once again making a point to emphasize her authority on this topic. “It’s such a special time – with Louis and Charlotte just having had their birthdays. It’s such a great time of the year to have a baby,” she said. “Spring’s in the air, so it’s really great. As William said, look forward to meeting him and finding out what his name’s going to be.” Wait, was that another shot? Did she just accuse Markle of dragging her feet by not having yet come up with a name for her son? Maybe not, we guess. Perhaps we’re reading a little too much into that line. But it’s hard not to when there’s been chatter for so long over Markle and Middleon, as various outlets have alleged for months that the two Royals simply do not get along. Are the rumors of a Middleton-Markle feud totally made up? Or is there really bad blood here? Might Kate to and quickly get pregnant in order to steal the attention away from Markle again? It seems unlikely, but you never really know. In the wake of Meghan giving birth, Prince William and his wife did issue a formal announcement as well. Read a message last night on the official Kensington Palace Instagram account: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted with the news of the birth of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son today, and look forward to meeting the latest addition to the family.” That’s very sweet. Even if some critics don’t think it’s very sincere. Elsewhere, while Markle remains quiet and in recovery, enjoying time with her precious son, Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, have now released a statement of their own. “We couldn’t be more delighted at the news and we’re looking forward to meeting the baby when we return,” they said via the official Clarence House Twitter account. Prince William, finally, had some fun at his sibling’s expense when speaking to press at a King’s Cup Regatta event in London on Tuesday. He said he is “absolutely thrilled and looking forward to seeing” his nephew in the near future, adding that is “very pleased and glad to welcome my brother to the sleep deprivation society that is parenting.” We can only hope that Harry and Meghan caught up on their ZZZZZs prior to becoming parents for the first time. Duggar Family Baby Bumps: See Them All!

We often like to ask the following question about the Duggar Family: Who is pregnant at the moment? But ongoing circumstances have forced us to consider amending this query a slight bit and asking the following instead… … who is NOT pregnant at the moment?!? We barely even say this in jest, considering the influx of Duggars currently in an expecting state. As previously reported, Kendra Duggar (née Caldwell), Jessa Seewald (née Duggar) and Anna Duggar (née Keller) are ALL pregnant right now, as Joy-Anna Duggar and Amy Duggar. We’re not kidding. All five of these women are knocked up. Three of them, meanwhile, came together in the same place this week, posing with matriarch Michelle Duggar for a rather unique photograph. “Mother/Daughter panel at the @familyconfs,” Michelle wrote on her family’s Instagram Story on Thursday, May 2. The 19 Kids and Counting alum could be seen on stage at this event with her three expecting daughters… as well as Lauren Duggar (née Swanson), Abbie Duggar (née Burnett) and Jana Duggar.  It’s a lot to keep track of, we know, but here’s the scary thing: More Duggar pregnancies may be on the way, according to Anna Duggar ! Back in January, Jessa was the first of these mothers-to-be to confirm her major news: “ We are overjoyed that God has blessed us with a baby, due late this Spring,” she and husband Ben Seewald said at the time, adding: “We realize that, in going from two to three kids, we’re about to switch from man-to-man to zone coverage, so we’ve definitely been taking advice from friends who are already in this stage! “We love being parents and are really looking forward to this new arrival!” Jessa is due to give birth any week now. From there, Kendra and Joe Duggar made their own announcement in early April, saying: “We are ready to double the fun at our house! “Being parents has already proven to be a greater joy than we had hoped or imagined. We love getting to parent together and are loving every moment and milestone. We are very happy that our little family will welcome a new addition later this year. “Children really are a blessing from God!” It was then on to Anna Duggar, who has pushed through her husband’s cheating and molestation scandals and will soon squeeze out their SIXTH child. “We couldn’t be happier to share with the world that our family is growing by one this Fall,” she told Us Weekly last month. “We continually stand amazed by God’s love, redemption, grace and blessings in our lives. Our entire little family is ecstatic!” Amy and husband Dillon, meanwhile, will welcome their first kid later this year. And Joy-Anna surprised followers by stating that she and Austin are set to give young son Gideon a brother or sister in the coming months. It’s almost enough to make you forget that Meghan Markle is pregnant and about to give birth to the only newborn who will actually matter in 2019. Amy Duggar: Pregnant with First Child!

Amy Duggar has an extra special reason to celebrate this Easter weekend. Not only was Jesus Christ resurrected on this monumental occasion — but Amy and husband Dillon King have a life-related announcement of their own to make: They are about to bring a brand new one into the world. That’s right, readers, Amy Duggar is pregnant!!!!!!! The 32-year old confirmed this blessed news herself, teaming with Dillon to tell People Magazine the following: “We are completely speechless, overly excited and ready for the next chapter as new parents!”  Amy, of course, is downright ancient – by her unique family’s standards – for a first-time expecting mother. She and King basically confessed late last year that a baby was finally in their plans , with the latter telling Us Weekly in an interview that they were “practicing, we’re not preventing.” Translation: The couple was having a decent amount of unproteced sexual intercourse. Amy, of course, is the niece of 19 Kids and Counting stars Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar. She’s always been somewhat of an outlier in a family that raises its women to just want to get married and get knocked up over and over and over. Just consider what she said last October about pro-creating, seemingly hurling a bit of shade at some of her relatives who have dedicated their entire existence to miraculous act: “I [don’t] want to limit myself by just getting pregnant right off the bat and not exploring the rest of what my life could be,” Duggar explained in October in defending her life choices. That was then, however, and this is now. And now Amy and Dillon cannot wait to meet their very own bundle of joy! The pair were longtime friends before they exchanged vows in a country-chic wedding on the grounds of Horton Farms near Bentonville, Arkansas, in 2015. How are they feeling at this point? A few months before they officiallly become a mother and a father? “The learning curve of being a new father is kind of terrifying, but at the same time equally astonishing,” says King. Amy, meanwhile, is also excited and scared — but she’s maintaining her sense of humor as her belly grows bigger with a person and a lot of food … but not the type of food she’s dying to chow down. “I miss Chick-fil-A,” the mom-to-be tells People. “Baby King isn’t a fan of chicken.” No word yet on what the gender will be or when Amy is due. We’ll brign you that information as soon as we have it, however. Rest assured. “I’m over the moon about becoming a momma! I just can’t hardly wait!” concludes to People. If Amy has any questions about pregnancy these days, she has plenty of places to turn. Kendra Duggar and husband Joseph recently announced that they’re expecting their second child . And then Kendra’s sister-in-law Jessa Seewald, is also with child. The Arkansas native already – who already has son Spurgeon, 3, and Henry, 2 – is due some time this spring. Is Perfectionism Toxic?

Here is the original post:

Source: DjelicS / Getty Growing up, we’re made to believe that perfectionism is something positive. We’re unconsciously taught that being first, never making a mistake, appearing flawless and constantly winning in every facet of life is what’ll get us the best job, the highest salary, a successful friend group, thousands of likes and followers on Instagram, the envy of our peers and the most perfect life ever. Sure, our teachers, parents and coaches probably told us “winning isn’t everything” to make us feel better after some devastating defeat we experienced in adolescence, but since then, literally everything in society seems to contradict their words, assuring us that there’s no way that statement can actually be true. Whether it’s in sports, politics or the work place; whoever the perfect team, candidate or employee is will be rewarded while the rest are left to sulk in their self-identified imperfections. It’s no surprise that seeing this happen repeatedly would lead us to believe that winning is everything, and being perfect is the only thing that opens the door to the success we so desperately seek. So, what exactly is perfectionism? Psychologists define this mindset as “an irrational desire to achieve along with being overly critical of oneself and others” and in our socially connected society, perfectionism has become more than just a mindset, it’s now a way of life. We’ve somehow allowed ourselves to believe that we are defined by what we are, or rather how “perfect” we are when in actuality, that dangerous thought process is holding us back more than it is propelling us forward. The problem with a mindset fixated on perfectionism is that… it simply doesn’t exist. Instead, perfectionism is the ultimate self-sabotage. It’s based on moving through life attempting to avoid mistakes, even when those mistakes are necessary to help us grow, learn, develop confidence and actually achieve the level of success we desire. If you struggle with perfectionism, you’re not alone. A 2017 study found that there has been a 33% rise in socially prescribed perfectionism since 1989, with this generation in particular struggling to keep up with a culture that makes us feel depressed if we’re not on track to becoming the next Kylie Jenner. However, with this rise of perfectionism comes a rise in productive ways to combat this mindset as the conversation around mental health has shifted from one that’s taboo to one that’s open, accepting and understanding. Yes, having ambition and determination to succeed is healthy. But the idea of perfectionism, the fear of making mistakes and listening to the inner voice that leads you to believe that you’re nothing unless you’re winning is what can lead to depression, anxiety and other mental health problems that take us down a path of constant self-criticism, fear and worry that we’re not measuring up to whatever society’s idea of perfect is. Psychologists suggest reversing this unhealthy idea of perfectionism with mental health exercises that’ll help you develop a more realistic view of yourself and your successes. Understand that being perfect isn’t what leads to social acceptance, but rather being your true, authentic and relatable self does. Mistakes are inevitable. They will happen. And the best thing you can do for yourself is to accept them, learn from them and move on to become the person you’re meant to be. To be clear, letting go of the idea of perfectionism doesn’t mean that you give up on your desire to do well. Instead, this means giving up on the inner voice that tells you that you cannot make a mistake, and if you do, you’ll lose everything. Learning to let go of the idea of perfectionism and replacing it with the mantra of “your best is good enough” might sound intimidating at first, but doing so will free your mind from bondage. Rather than letting social expectations tell you what perfection is, strive for a life defined by learning experiences, deep personal connections, and self-assurance that you are enough. 8 Spring Cleaning Tips to Get Your Home Ready For Warmer Weather

Follow this link:

Source: PeopleImages / Getty The winter chill is starting to lift. The days are getting longer, the sun is getting stronger and the pollen in the air has made it hard to breathe… yup it’s official, spring is here! With the change of winter into spring comes the exciting task of spring cleaning and getting your space ready to welcome warm weather for the next five or so months. Spring cleaning can be as simple as putting away your heavy winter coats and replacing them with lighter spring jackets or as complex as renovating your entire place to make way for new flowers, décor and other household staples. It doesn’t matter when or where you start, spring cleaning is a sure way to lift your spirits in anticipation for sunnier days ahead. Whether you want to do a deep clean or a light dusting, we’ve got a few spring cleaning tips to help get you started! Change Your Doormat Your doormat has probably been a life saver all winter collecting dirt, snow, salt and other winter mess from your house guests’ shoes. Now that a new season is upon us, it’s time to replace your winter doormat with something a bit more spring-like that not only looks like sunshine but also makes your home feel more warm and ready for something new. You can even consider using two door mats, one outside and one inside, to keep dirt from entering your home altogether and make the cleaning process easier moving forward. Clean Your Microwave There’s nothing worse than a disgusting microwave and if yours is due for a cleaning, this Good Housekeeping hack can help. Place a large microwave-safe bowl with 1 cup of water and a chopped-up lemon, lime, or orange or several tablespoons of vinegar inside. Turn the microwave on high for a few minutes or until the solution boils. Then, let it sit for 15 minutes before opening the door. Once the time is up, remove and wipe the inside and outside with a sponge. Put Away Winter Clothes It’s finally time to say “see ya” to those heavy winter sweaters, boots and coats and replace them with sandals, dresses and tank tops. You can swap out your closet completely or simply rearrange it to place your spring faves in the front and winter staples in the back. This will make it easier to find those clothes you’re looking for in the warmer months without having to sort through a ton of heavy winter sweaters. Deep Clean Your Fridge If the last time your fridge was clean was when you first bought it, then it’s time to give it a good scrub. Throw away any old food and pop out the door shelves, bins, ice trays and egg containers and wash them all in anti-bacterial soap and warm water to get rid of bacteria, spills and any unwanted smells your fridge might be hiding. Declutter Your Junk Drawer Every house has a junk drawer. The one drawer where you throw anything that doesn’t have a proper place. If you’re not careful, the junk in your junk drawer can get out of control after collecting years and years of randomness you’ve forgotten about overtime. You can start decluttering your junk drawer by emptying the entire drawer, wiping it down with disinfectant wipes, and replacing the items back into the drawer one by one while tossing anything you no longer need. Clean Out Your Makeup and Brushes Beauties, this really should be done more than just once a year, but for the sake of spring cleaning, we’ll remind you to clean your make up brushes and discard of any old and expired makeup. Although not all makeup has an expiration date, keep the date you purchased it in mind so you have an idea of how old the products actually are. When it comes to cleaning your makeup brushes, squeeze a few drops of shampoo in your palm and rub the bristle tips into the lather. Then, gently hold the brush (bristles down to avoid getting water into the handle) under warm running water until the water runs clear. To dry, spread the brush like a fan and lay it on a paper towel. Replace Your Bedding Now that the weather is warmer, it’s time to put away those heavy, dark colored covers and blankets and replace them with something lighter in color and in feel to make those warm spring and summer nights more comfortable. Switching your bedding can also help brighten your room altogether and help you feel more Zen in your sanctuary. Clean Your Air Replacing furnace and HVAC filters is often an overlooked part of spring cleaning but will help keep you healthier as you enter the spring season. Your filter is used to catch small, irritating particles that accumulate from the furnace and air conditioning units so they don’t enter your space and pollute the air. You can also consider investing in an air purifier to help ensure your spring air is void of allergens, indoor chemicals or any odors that causes stuffy noses during this allergy season. 5 Budget-Friendly Festivals To Attend This Year If You Can’t Afford Coachella

Original post:

Source: Josh Brasted / Getty It’s that time of year again when major FOMO starts to kick in for every millennial who can’t afford to ball out and take a trip to Coachella. Curators bank on people’s fear of missing out on something cool and fun to drive ticket sells — and sadly, it works every time. “The Coachella fomo is already real and it hasn’t even started yet lmao”- @alyssayayyaa “Mentally preparing myself for the Coachella fomo I’m about to have next weekend…” _katethegreat When people your age are spending almost thousands of dollars to travel to a desert to party with “cool people”, wear dope, expensive gear (usually appropriating native american culture), it makes you think that you’re doing something totally wrong with your life. “Some of my friends are at Coachella, and most of my friends are at the Spring Game. Meanwhile, I slept for 10 hours.” @Mariahkoneke But how much is Coachella actually costing folks? As Gobankingrates.com pointed out, when considering attending Coachella, you might focus on the cost of passes, but you’ll also need to plan for the cost of food, drinks and lodging while at the festival. Lodging: Various nearby hotels offer festival packages. Prices include the hotel stay, shuttle service and passes for either two or four people and start at $2,445 for two people and go up to $7,899 for four people. Food: The cost of food and drinks will depend on the vendors you choose or if you opt to prepare your own meals. The most expensive food option is a four-course Outstanding in the Field dinner, made by the finest chefs, which is available for $225 per person. If you’re lucky, you can find passes on the low from $380-$500. And depending on whether or not you’re coming from out of states, those flights can be expensive as hell. Oh and don’t forget about the alcohol — that’s another bill in itself.  The people who have the money spare no expense on having a good time. But for the ones who don’t have it like that, don’t fret! There are plenty more affordable lituations that are just as dope as Coachella. Hit the flip for some budget-friendly festivals you can attend this year.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle Make Major Move Prior to Royal Baby

We have huge news regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, readers. No, however, it isn’t that huge news regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. But we are getting closer and closer to the truly big one… Before the Royal Baby enters the world, however, Harry and Meghan have officially moved into the home where their impending child will be raised. The famous parents-to-be now reside into their newly renovated home, Frogmore Cottage, which is located on the Frogmore Estate in Berkshire. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are expecting their first child any week now, were initially revealed to be leaving their two-bedroom Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace in London last November. The decision took many observers by surprised and fueled talk about a Markle and Kate Middleton feud . There was an assumption as the time that Markle simply had to get as far away from her rival as possible. Is this really the case? We’ll likely never know. It’s equally conceivable that the couple simply wants their son or daughter to grow up outside the busy city of London. “Windsor is a very special place for their royal highnesses and they are grateful that their official residence will be on the estate,” Kensington Palace simply said in a statement last fall. Last month, in anticipation of Markle giving birth, the formation of a new household for Harry and Meghan was also confirmed, putting an end to the joint household the prince shared with older brother Prince William at Kensington Palace. This is technical Royal Family stuff, but it’s important to those who are interested in the lives of Harry, William and their wives. “The Queen has agreed to the creation of a new household for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, following their marriage in May last year. The Household, which will be created with the support of the Queen and the Prince of Wales, will be established in the spring,” a royal statement announced a couple weeks ago. It continued: “The Duke of Sussex currently has his own private office, which has been supporting the Duchess since Their Royal Highnesses engagement in November 2017. “This long-planned move will ensure that permanent support arrangements for the Duke and Duchess’ work are in place as they start their family and move to their official residence at Frogmore Cottage.” Frogmore Cottage, of course, is not really a cottage in any traditional sense. It has 10 bedrooms, for example. It was gifted to Harry and his wife by Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and is very nearby from the queen’s Windsor Castle, where the superstars are expected to spend Easter Sunday. There’s also plenty of room here for Markle’s mother to feel comfortable, as she’s expected to stick around for awhile after her grandchild is born.
