R.I.P: Kanye West Declares That He Killed His Ego

See the article here:

Source: Paul Natkin / Getty Ladies, gentlemen…people across the globe, we have reached a very special moment in history…or so I hope. Kanye West , a.k.a. the next Walt Disney , Steve Jobs , and Picasso , is chucking the deuces up to his ego. I killed my ego — KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) June 14, 2018 That’s right, the thing that has gotten Kanye into trouble more times than once has finally hit six feet under. Hours before Kanye’s big announcement, he posted about his wife’s involvement in freeing 63-year-old  Alice Johnson  from prison. https://t.co/GBaHHmLIL3 — KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) June 14, 2018 Then, Kanye went into a Twitter thread about eliminating pride… give without pride — KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) June 14, 2018 your pride can be and will be used against you — KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) June 14, 2018 be great without pride — KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) June 14, 2018 And then came the big reveal… I killed my ego — KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) June 14, 2018 Who or what is Kanye West with no ego? Just Ye — KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) June 14, 2018 And big shocker…this is something new for Ye… this is new for me but it’s just how I feel now. I don’t know why. I thought my ego protected me from doubters so that I wouldn’t doubt myself but there has to be a better way to do this — KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) June 14, 2018 Finally, Ye ended by saying his need to help people affects his actions… sometimes I have trouble saying no because I want to help everyone — KANYE WEST (@kanyewest) June 14, 2018 So there you have it. Could we be on the horizon of a new Ye? We already know how random and fickle he can be. And now that it’s known he has bipolar disorder , I wonder if that will affect his future sentiments. Per usual, only time will tell and Kanye will continue to keep us guessing. Until then, I’ll happily attend that ego funeral.   Let’s just hope the only resurrection Kanye believes in is Jesus Christ.

WATCH Celine Dion Pay Tribute to Paris Attack Victims

The 2015 American Music Awards were full of memorable performance. Justin Bieber closed the show by getting soaked by water from above . Alanis Morisstte and Demi Lovato teamed up for an intense duet of “You Oughta Know.” Selena Gomez got all sexy and slayed a rendition of “Same Old Love.” But Celine Dion put on the most emotional performance of all, this cannot be denied. The 47-year old French-Canadian brought tears to the eyes of most viewers by taking to the stage at the Microsoft Theater and giving a powerful performance of the classic Edith Piaf song “Hymne à L’Amour” in French. She did so, of course, as a tribute to the more than 130 people who died in the terrorist attacks in Paris this month; an event that shook a nation. An event that shook the globe, really. Dion sang with a live orchestra as photos from The City of Love flashed across the screen behind her. Several audience members broke down in tears at various points. The beloved, amazing singer was introduced by Oscar winner Jared Leto, who said made a moving introduction of his own. “Many of us here are the sons and daughters of immigrants,” he said, prior to mentioning Steve Jobs and President Barack Obama. “The entire world matters and peace is possible.” Emotional stuff, for sure. It's tragic this performance had to take, of course, but it's worth watching now that it has.

‘jOBS’ Role Sent Ashton Kutcher To Hospital

Ashton Kutcher not only took on Steve Jobs’ persona as a tech magnate, he also adopted the late Apple founder’s alleged fruitarian diet in preparation for the role, which sent him to the hospital, the actor revealed following the premiere of jOBS at the Sundance Film Festival over the weekend. [ Related: SUNDANCE WINNERS: ‘Fruitvale’ & ‘Blood Brother’ WIN Top Prizes x 2 ] Often considered a subset of veganism, fruitarianism is a diet that consists of fruit, nuts and seeds, solely without animal products, vegetables and grains. Motivations for fruitarianism range from ethical, health, religious and environmental or other reasons. “First of all, the fruitarian diet can lead to, like, severe issues,” Kutcher told USA Today. “I went to the hospital like two days before we started shooting the movie. I was like doubled over in pain. My pancreas levels were completely out of whack. It was really terrifying…considering everything.” Jobs died of pancreatic cancer in October 2011. Kutcher said he spent hundreds of hours going over tapes of Jobs hoping to master his mannerisms and hunched walk. The actor, who has a massive Twitter following, said he felt close to the late magnate in part because they share an affinity for the “tech space.” “He’s a guy that failed and got back on the horse,” noted Kutcher. “I think we can all sort of relate to that in some place in our life where we are moving forward with something and we fall down. You have to have the guts to get back up and go again. I think I share that as well.” jOBS opens with the period Steve Jobs founded Apple in a garage in Palo Alto, California up to when he launched the iPod in 2001. Oscar-winning writer of The Social Network , Aaron Sorkin, is also planning a Jobs biopic based on Walter Isaacson’s bestselling biography. The Sorkin version will reportedly comprise of three extended scenes, according to The Guardian, each leading up to a pivotal product launch. [ Sources: The Guardian , USA Today ]
