@MrsKutcher Is No More: Demi Moore Is @JustDemi

Actress changes her Twitter handle after split from Ashton Kutcher. By Terri Schwartz Demi Moore Photo: Jeffrey Mayer/ WireImage It’s official: Demi Moore is no longer “Mrs. Kutcher” and is now “just Demi.” Almost six months after her , Moore has changed her Twitter handle to one that doesn’t tout her husband’s last name. Her user name is now @justdemi, and her old Twitter account has successfully been transported over to its new home, followers and all. “So hard finding a name that was fun somewhat playful and available. So for now it will be @justdemi It could grow on me!” she tweeted following the change. Kutcher and Moore announced their divorce in November following his and a subsequent on Twitter. Back in December, Moore responded to her followers who continually asked her when she was going to change her Twitter name from @mrskutcher. “Changing my twitter name isn’t a top priority right now. sorry it bothers so many of u,” she tweeted . “Should I not tweet until I do? does it really matter?” It seems like Moore has spent the past few months focusing on her recovery following her back in January and subsequent stint in rehab. After taking a break for three months, Moore returned to Twitter on April 15 and almost immediately started looking for a new handle. A new user has already snapped up the name @mrskutcher, but don’t be fooled. Though they have the same user picture Moore had and still go by the name “Demi Moore,” it’s a different person. Maybe that user name can stay around until Kutcher finds himself a new bride, though we would suggest she pick a different Twitter handle since that one might be a bit ill-fated.

Shailene Woodley Says Oscars ‘Grand Finale’ For ‘Descendants’ Cast

Independent Spirit Award-winner tells MTV News ending awards season with her co-stars is ‘so bittersweet.’ By Terri Schwartz Shailene Woodley Photo: Getty Images “The Descendants” took home a handful of awards from the Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday afternoon, but none of the winners were more enthused about the honor than first-time nominee Shailene Woodley. The “Secret Life of the American Teenager” star has been rewarded repeatedly for her emotional turn as the teenage daughter of George Clooney’s character in the Alexander Payne-directed flick, and the 20-year-old continued that trend Saturday, winning Best Supporting Actress. Sunday night’s Academy Awards marks the last major awards show of the season for Woodley and her “Descendants” castmates. On the red carpet before the Spirit Awards, the young actress told MTV News that ending her time with her co-stars is “so bittersweet.” “Tomorrow’s the grand finale. It’s awesome, because I’ll be able to have clean socks and do laundry for the first time in a few months, but it is sad because every single night has been this beautiful little reunion of people, and tomorrow’s the last reunion,” she explained. At least the reunions will go out with a bang, since the entire cast, including Clooney, is expected to attend the Oscars . Even though they won’t continue to see each other on the awards circuit this year, Woodley expects she and her castmates will stay in touch. If Clooney falls out of contact, Woodley promised, “I will track him down and say, ‘Keep teaching me, because I haven’t learned enough yet!’ ” The actress has made quite a splash on the red carpet while doing rounds for “The Descendants,” and she said her Oscar-night dress is ready to go. Picking out the perfect outfit hasn’t been something to stress about — as she said, that’s what stylists are for. “I do have a dress. It hasn’t been that big of a process because I know nothing about fashion,” Woodley said. “I have an awesome stylist who does know a lot about fashion, and so I’m sure she would say it’s been a big process, but for me, it’s been very simple.” The MTV Movies team has the 2012 Oscars covered! Madonna Offers Ricky Gervais A Kiss At Golden Globes

‘I haven’t kissed a girl in a few years — on TV,’ Madge teases the Globes host. By Jocelyn Vena Madonna makes fun of Ricky Gervais at the 2012 Golden Globes Photo: HFPA/ NBC Shortly after winning the Golden Globe for her “W.E.” soundtrack original song, “Masterpiece,” Madonna returned to the stage during Sunday’s (January 15) broadcast and gave host Ricky Gervais a taste of his own medicine. “OK, our next presenter is the Queen of Pop. Not you, Elton [John], sit down,” Gervais joked. “She’s all woman. I’ll give you some clues: She’s always vogue. She’s a material girl. And she’s just like a virgin,” he said with a sarcastic cough. “Please welcome Madonna.” While Gervais got laughs for his introduction, Madge was ready with some good-natured ribbing for the British comedian. “If I’m still just like a virgin, Ricky, then why don’t you come over here and do something about it?” she teased. “I haven’t kissed a girl in a few years — on TV. Hmm, OK. Moving right along.” Behind Madonna , Gervais could be seen running away, which drew more laughs from the room. The singer/director then went back to the script as she presented Best Foreign Language Film. “I grew up watching movies like most people in this room,” she said. “The movies that allowed my imagination to run wild, that made me believe that I can dream and think outside the box were foreign films made by the likes of [directors] Fellini, Visconti, Truffaut, Godard, just to name a few. So there’s nothing foreign to me about a foreign film. I am honored and excited to present the nominees for Best Foreign Language Film.” (The winner was “A Separation” from Iran.) The Queen of Pop’s (most likely unintentional) reference to a certain princess of pop didn’t go unnoticed. Moments after Madonna joked about how long it’s been since she “kissed a girl,” the “I Kissed a Girl” singer herself, Katy Perry, tweeted , “Madge looks goooooood. I’d tap that. #goldenglobes.” Stick with MTV News all night for the 2012 Golden Globes winners, and don’t miss all the fashion from the Golden Globes red carpet ! Peter Dinklage Shouts Out Dwarf-Tossing Victim In Golden Globes Speech

Aspiring actor Martin Henderson was partially paralyzed after drunk stranger picked him up and threw him in U.K. By Terri Schwartz Peter Dinklage at the 2012 Golden Globes Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images Peter Dinklage might have started off his Golden Globes acceptance speech Sunday night (January 15) with a charming anecdote about his mother telling him Guy Pearce was going to beat him for the best supporting TV actor award, but he ended it on a serious note. The “Game of Thrones” star gave a shout-out to fellow dwarf Martin Henderson but, rather then elaborating, he just said “Google him.” Within minutes, Henderson’s name was a trending topic on Twitter. The aspiring actor was partially paralyzed on his birthday after a drunk stranger picked him up and threw him while he was having a cigarette outside a pub in the U.K. Henderson blames the English rugby team players who recently attended a dwarf-tossing contest during the rugby World Cup in New Zealand for inspiring the attack. The Daily Mail reports that he now faces life in a wheelchair after the incident. Henderson was recovering from a 2010 back injury but has said that this injury has set him back in his recuperation. He went on to tell The Daily Mail that he believes this will affect his acting career. “Every time I stand up I don’t know if I’m going to fall over. I will have to use a wheelchair and I won’t get any acting jobs,” said Henderson, who has appeared in U.K. TV series “10th Kingdom” and “Bigger Breakfast.” British authorities are currently looking for the man who assaulted Henderson. The incident occurred on October 7, but Henderson’s condition has reportedly worsened as the months have passed. He said that his legs became numb following the attack and that he now keeps falling over, even resulting in a recent fractured arm. “I guess I was an easy target and the only reason I was picked on was because I am small,” Henderson said in the interview. “People’s attitudes to me when I go out can be pretty cruel. Most are OK but you get the odd idiot who will make fun and start laughing at me. You just have to ignore it, but this is the first time I have been picked up and thrown about.” Both Dinklage and Henderson suffer from achondroplasia, which causes dwarfirsm. Dinklage was likely trying to raise awareness for a cause that’s close to his heart with the shout-out. Nicki Minaj’s ‘Super Bass’ Becomes Christian Anthem

Students at the University of Florida unveil ‘Super Grace,’ an ode to ‘the boys with the true religion.’ By James Montgomery Nicki Minaj Photo: D. Dipasupil/FilmMagic When Nicki Minaj first dropped “Super Bass,” she probably never thought it’d go on to be her biggest hit … and we’re willing to bet she definitely didn’t think it would become an anthem for Christian coupling. And yet, it has. Thanks to some students at the University of Florida, Nicki’s ode to the boys with the booming systems has been re-imagined as “Super Grace,” a contemporary commentary “about the single Christian girl’s struggle to appreciate the wonderful Christian men in her life.” Written by UF student Raychel Manko, and first performed during a homecoming “Skit Night” for the university’s Christian Greek organizations, “Grace” pays homage to “the boys with the true religion … in love with the Lord and done with sinning.” It was apparently such a hit — it won first place at the competition — that Manko and her fellow Gators were inspired to make an accompanying music video . And, oh, what a video it is. In the clip, Manko dons a bright blue wig (a nod to Nicki’s eternally evolving hairstyles), preaches from the pulpit, checks out some like-minded guys whilst praying, spits lines like, “You know I really have a thing for Christ-centered guys/ I mean, sigh, I’m gonna cry” (you can read the full lyrics over on her blog ) and, of course, inspires some rather zesty choreographed dance routines. The video was first uploaded on Christmas and has, to date, racked up just 1,100 views. But in recent days, it’s begun to make the rounds on sites like Buzzfeed, which sort of guarantees it’s well on its way to viral status. Manko, of course, remains unfazed by it all. In fact, she seems more concerned with meeting those Christian guys: as the “Grace” YouTube page states, “Raychel does not have blue hair in real life, and she looks better without it.” What do you think of the “Super Grace” remix? ‘Avatar 2’ Underwater Filming Has Sam Worthington ‘Nervous’

‘I love the ocean, but I’m just a bit unsure about it,’ actor tells MTV News about James Cameron sequel. By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Kara Warner Sam Worthington Photo: MTV News The upcoming sequel to James Cameron’s record-breaking film “Avatar” is going to showcase a whole new area of Pandora. With the destruction of the Na’vi’s Hometree in the first flick, Jake Sully, Neytiri and the rest of the tribe are apparently going to be spending some quality time in the planet’s ocean . And, to try to keep the filmgoing experience as authentic as possible, Cameron would like to shoot those scenes underwater . As an avid fan of diving, this is a passion project for Cameron, though he admitted to MTV News in the past that he likes to keep his work and extracurriculars separate. At least it’s not going to be all new to him, as Cameron previously said that he learned a few tricks from producing the underwater thriller “Sanctum.” The difficulty is trying to figure out how to do performance capture underwater, which is something he said has never been done before. In preparation for the film, Cameron is apparently trying to convince his leading man, Sam Worthington, to go diving with him. “He’s trying to get me to scuba-dive,” Worthington told MTV News on Friday (January 6). “I’ve never been, but he got me the gear and the tanks, so I’ve got to give it a go. I’ve got to get my lessons. I’m a bit nervous.” Worthington’s quickly running out of time to start training, though, as his “Avatar” costar Sigourney Weaver started the rumor that Cameron plans to get the cameras rolling on “Avatar 2” at some point in 2012 . Worthington admitted that he’s a little uncomfortable with the concept of learning how to scuba-dive and shooting underwater. Turns out he’s more afraid of filming in the ocean than he was of heights, a fear he had to cope with while shooting his upcoming thriller “Man on a Ledge,” out January 27. “I love the ocean, but I’m just a bit unsure about it. I suppose once I’m down there and have done it, it will be [ snaps fingers ],” Worthington said. “I’m not worried about [the unknown]; that’s the exciting part. It’s more the claustrophobia.” But sacrifices must be made for the greater good of the film. Cameron told MTV News that he wanted to shoot in the water because “we’ll have characters that are in and under the water.” At least Worthington has a better sense of how the ocean plotline will fit into the greater “Avatar” narrative than we do. “I don’t know when [Cameron]’s going to start ‘Avatar 2,’ but I know he’s been telling me bits about it,” he said. ‘Breaking Dawn – Part 1’ Ends In A ‘Very Organic Place’

‘Everybody debated it a lot,’ screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg says of back-and-forth over where to split the finale. By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Robert Pattinson in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” Photo: Summit Entertainment If you were among the devoted “Twilight” fans who lined up to see “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” over the weekend, then you already know the film has a pretty dramatic conclusion. But MTV News has learned that the first of the two-part finale wasn’t always intended to end where it does, even if it seems like the obvious choice. When we caught up with screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg and director Bill Condon shortly before “Part 1” hit theaters, the creative duo admitted to a lot of early discussions trying to decide the best place to split the final two movies. While Rosenberg and Condon felt that the current ending was the most “organic” place to pause before “Part 2,” the studio wanted to make sure it was a spot in the story line that would best serve the entire series. “We went back and forth a lot and, initially, this seemed like a very obvious place for the split, but then as the creative process went forth, myself, the studio and [author] Stephenie [Meyer], [producer] Wyck [Godfrey] and everybody debated it a lot,” Rosenberg said. “I tried a couple different things but ultimately this was a natural, very organic place to split it.” Condon said he was always a defender of the existing split, even if many members of the creative team debated him on it. “When I came on, I really felt very strongly this is where it should be [divided],” he told us. Fans of Meyer’s novel should have a general idea of where “Part1” ends even if they haven’t seen the movie. But if you’re afraid of spoilers, we’ll just say that Bella (Kristen Stewart) undergoes some pretty significant changes as the film winds to a close. Rosenberg actually considered a split that would have pushed “Part 1” even further along in the novel. “Pushing from further into the second movie, pushing into the first act of the second movie,” she said of the other options she had toyed with. “But it wasn’t organic, it wasn’t right.” Do you think the filmmakers chose the right place to split the two “Breaking Dawn” films? Will ‘Breaking Dawn’ R-Rated Sex Scene Make The DVD?

Director Bill Condon ‘went for it’ on too-hot-for-PG-13 version of the honeymoon, screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg tells MTV News. By Terri Schwartz, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in “Breaking Dawn” Photo: Summit “Twilight” fans should know by now that the original sex scene filmed for “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” was a lot steamier than the version that made the final cut. The MPAA said the film would need an R rating if director Bill Condon didn’t cut out some of the “thrusting.” Needless to say, he did, and “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” currently reigns atop the box office with a PG-13 rating. But screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg admitted to MTV News that she wished the raunchier cut had made it to the big screen. “Bill, he went for it,” Rosenberg said with a laugh when she recently spoke to MTV News. “I wanted to keep [the footage].” Though all the bumping and grinding didn’t make it to the final cut of the film, Rosenberg is crossing her fingers that a lot of the footage will make it to the DVD. So everyone out there hoping that some of the more explicit parts of that sex scene will one day be released for public consumption, you just might be in luck. That’s not the only scene that got chopped from the final cut of the movie, though. Rosenberg said there was a sequence before Bella and Edward’s wedding that also got the ax because it was slowing down the rest of the movie. “There was a whole section before the wedding with Charlie, Renee and Carlisle and Edward, kind of a back-and-forth, but it just slowed everything down. But there are some nice things in there,” she said. To calm fans who might be upset about missing that interaction, Rosenberg added, “But again, these are things that will show up someday.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . ‘Apollo 18’: The Reviews Are In!

Critics say the ‘found-footage’ film requires a suspension of disbelief to truly work. By Terri Schwartz “Apollo 18” Photo: Dimension Films “Apollo 18” is not a documentary — NASA made a point of clearing that up — but that doesn’t mean that a certain suspension of disbelief won’t make the movie a terrifying experience. The flick is just the latest to cash in on the found-footage premise made popular in 1999’s “The Blair Witch Project,” but it is the first to bring that filmmaking style to outer space. Some critics thought the premise worked in its new location, while others felt the film lost its momentum in the second hour. The consensus for is that it either will work for you or it won’t; which way will you sway? Check out what the critics have to say and make your decision in theaters this weekend. James Franco Back On Set Of ‘General Hospital’

Photo from the set shows Franco covered in blood. By Terri Schwartz Steve Burton and James Franco on the set of “General Hospital” Photo: ABC There will be blood when James Franco returns to “General Hospital” on September 20. Despite Franco’s earlier statements to the contrary , E! landed a photo of Franco on the set of the ABC daytime soap that proves that he will in fact be reprising the role of his appropriately named serial killer, Franco. It looks like things don’t end so well for Franco’s soap alter ego, based on the smear of blood on the wall behind his head and the trickle coming out of his mouth in the photo. Or there’s a chance he’ll be bringing back the creepy by again playing a dead man in one of his character’s art exhibits, considering that’s how he was introduced to the show originally. The plot thickens! Franco made his Port Charles debut in November 2009 as an artist/serial killer who becomes obsessed with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), who can also be seen in the recent photo. His plot arc lasted for 41 episodes and ended last August with the killer Franco vanishing without a trace. Six months later, Franco returned and filmed three more episodes in which his character tried to bust up a pretty big wedding. Franco is going to try to do that again in the upcoming episode, according to E!. This new appearance takes place on the eve of Jason Morgan and Samantha McCall’s wedding. Franco returns to Port Charles to wreak havoc on their lives after already trying to separate them in his first plot arc. When MTV caught up with the actor at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, Franco called his relationship with “General Hospital” an “ongoing thing.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com .
