Bye Beyoncé Biter! Tiffany Haddish Says Sanaa Lathan’s Family Accused Her Of ‘Trying To Ruin Her Career’

For your viewing pleasure… Tiffany Haddish Covers The Hollywood Reporter, Speaks On Sanaa Lathan & Tracy Morgan Tiffany Haddish is currently covering The Hollywood Reporter where she’s dubbed “Comedy’s New Queen” and speaking on her rise from South Central L.A. to Hollywood stardom. The comedienne, 38, sat down with THR and spoke candidly on a number of topics including Tracy Morgan who shaded her in that interview and demanded to stop being asked about her. “He’s probably just tired of hearing my name. It’s exhausting. I’m tired of hearing my name. I could see how that could be irritating, like, ‘Hello, I died, people. I’m back from the dead. Tiffany’s cool, but it’s me sitting here now.’ So, I get it, I’m not mad about it, I love me some Tracy. Things got especially interesting however when Tiffany spoke on Sanaa Lathan who was confirmed (not by Tiffany) as the Beyonce biter in that infamous story. According to Tiffany Sanaa’s family was BIG mad at her and she was accused of trying to ruin her career. Not true says Tiffany, who’s adamant that she simply told the story to show that Baddie Bey kept her out of handcuffs that night. “I’m super good friends with her stepmom and her dad, and they were mad at me,” Haddish told The Hollywood Reporter . “They were like, ‘Why would you do this to the family? You know, black actresses, you guys have to stick together, it’s so hard for you guys to get work as it is, why would you try to ruin her career?’ But I didn’t try to ruin her career. I never said her name! I was just trying to say how Beyoncé kept me from goin’ to jail that night. I coulda just shut my whole career down.” Sorry Sanaa, looks this story isn’t going away ANY time soon… Alberto E. Joni Mitchell Likes Taylor Swift’s Cheekbones, Hates Her Acting

Ding! Ding! Ding! It is apparently on between Taylor Swift and… Joni Mitchell?!? The same week that  Bette Midler dissed Ariana Grande , the 71-year old artist spoke to The Sunday Times, bringing up a 2012 rumor that Swift was in talks to portray her in a big screen adaption of Girls Like Us, a book that told the story of Mitchell, Carole King and Carly Simon. 11 Fun Facts About Taylor Swift! 1. Her First Job Was Knocking Bugs Out of Christmas Trees We’re guessing she prefers singing. “I squelched that. I said to the producer, ‘All you’ve got is a girl with high cheekbones,'” Mitchell recall. In other words: Joni Mitchell isn’t a big fan of Taylor Swift the actress. Swift made her feature film debut in 2010’s Valentine’s Day and she also had a small role in 2014’s The Giver. She told Time magazine two years ago that she’s “love to sign on to do a movie,” but it would have to be a “story worth telling,” considering how much effort she’d put in to a big role. For now, however, this music thing is working out pretty well for Swift. She set a Billboard milestone last week by succeeding herself atop the chart and kicks off the 1989 World Tour on May 5 in Tokyo, Japan. She will perform 65 shows through October 31 in Tampa, Florida.

Ronda Rousey for Some Random Men’s Magazine I’ve Never Heard of of the Day

Ronda Rousey is the lesbian, who may not actually be a lesbian, but who I saw fight a lesbian, in the first Female UFC match, that I think the lesbian was in on, just to have the chance to scissor with Ronda in public forum, so that people believed her when she told the story at the lesbian bar…which I guess makes Ronda Rousey a gay basher…like Russia. She’s posing in some half naked men’s magazine pics, and it is semi erotic knowing that legally she’s considered a lethal weapon, all trained to kill if she needs to and shit, which would make being her submissive pretty fucking effective, even though powerhouses like this, usually like finding a dude to dom them, and powerhouses like this get off to being punched in the fucking face and locked in cages in the basement so much they made a job out of it. She’s fit, she’s got a body, she’s a killer and I approve.

Is Disney Rebooting The Rocketeer?

I suppose it makes sense: According to Vulture rumor-slinger Claude Brodesser-Akner, Disney’s new regime under Alan Horn is developing a remake of 1991’s The Rocketeer — a box office disappointment that nevertheless built a cult following owing to its retro-futuristic vibe, Billy Campbell’s irresistible hair, and Jennifer Connelly ‘s Jennifer Connelly-ness. The Rocketeer told the story of Cliff Secord, a square-jawed airplane pilot who battles Nazis with the help of a rocket jetpack in 1930s California. Audiences rejected it upon release, but the film won dedicated fans (myself included) in subsequent years. The report, based on studio spy whispers, points out that such a reboot might be successful thanks to its similarities with Marvel’s Iron Man properties — both were adapted from comics, both involve a hero in a supercool metal suit flying into action against baddies, etc. One way of updating the Rocketeer property could be to make it slick and high-tech and even more Iron Man -esque… though the idea of Disney courting such obvious parallels to Marvel’s best-loved new Avengers superhero doesn’t make much sense. If Disney reboots The Rocketeer , I can’t imagine fans of the original comics and the Joe Johnston-directed film would accept anything less than a faithful period setting, in keeping with the original story’s spirit and sense for nostalgic idealism; good luck finding a Cliff Secord with hair as phenomenally perfect as 90s-era Campbell. I mean – JUST… LOOK… AT THIS HAIR! YOU GUYS . On second thought, let me put this out there: Armie Hammer as Cliff. Jennifer Lawrence as Jenny. Michael Fassbender as Neville Sinclair. Discuss. Lady Gaga Wanted ‘Born This Way’ To Be ‘A Viral Message’

‘BTW’ video creative director Laurieann Gibson says Gaga recruited director Nick Knight to push the envelope. By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images If it wasn’t clear from watching Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” video, the singer intended for the over-the-top clip to be a visual spectacle. And that’s why she wanted fashion photographer Nick Knight onboard to direct. “Well, that was completely from the gate. She was like, ‘I want Nick Knight for this video, I want a visual,’ ” the video’s creative director, Laurieann Gibson, explained to MTV News. “She was always birthing something visual in her head. [Knight’s] prolific, but he’s so genius visually. He’s such an Englishman. He’s so particular and everything must be spot-on. [The video] was about a beautiful photograph and it was about pushing the bar; it is a viral message. Nick was flawless.” Many of the visuals in the video are tied to the dance , which Gibson choreographed for the splashy sci-fi-style video. “At first, when I thought about birthing a new race and adding the prosthetics, I thought that maybe they should have a certain way they should walk or maybe they move a certain way, but then I realized it is actually a race within our race; it’s a mindset,” Gibson recalled. “So they don’t have to walk funny,” she said of the figures in the video. Instead, Gibson focused on how she to interpret the song’s feel-good message in the moves. “So I just told the story of the record,” she said. “We birth ourselves out of the womb. There’s lots of pushing and birthing [in the video]. There’s lots of punching through the adversity, and then we go to church. So it’s very symbolic, it’s really based in modern dance: She’s doing [Martha] Graham. She’s doing [Lester] Horton. These are legitimate dance techniques.” What’s your favorite part of the “Born This Way” video? Tell us in the comments! Clipse’s Malice Helps Fans ‘Appreciate’ What They Have In Debut Book

‘Every time I told the story, everyone was totally amazed,’ he tells Mixtape Daily. By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting Cristopher Schafer and Samuel Rogers Malice Photo: Samuel Rogers and Cristopher Schafer Fire Starter: Gene “Malice” Thornton Clipse’s Gene “Malice” Thornton might not be a rookie, but the MC — who has blessed us with a bevy of healthy verses over Neptunes production throughout the years — is a first-time author, readying the release of his book “Wretched, Pitiful, Poor, Blind, and Naked.” Admittedly, a literary career wasn’t in the plans for the former armed forces member. But after a tumultuous period in his life that Malice said began in 2008 (he didn’t elaborate on the incidents; a year later, in 2009, longtime Clipse manager Anthony “Geezy” Gonzalez was charged with leading a multimillion-dollar drug ring), he had a story that he would repeat often, and the idea for a book arose. “Every time I told the story, everyone was totally amazed,” he explained. “The story is nothing short of phenomenal. I thought I was gonna be rapping, and I still rap; I’m gonna keep making music. But I had to stop what I was doing for a minute to really get this burden off my chest. And it’s basically the vehicle that’s gonna shed light on life and it’s gonna open up the eyes of any young person that’s aspiring to be, not just in hip-hop, but music, sports, doctors, lawyers, whatever your profession is. It’s just gonna help you be focused and learn to appreciate what you already have.” As the title suggests, “Wretched, Pitiful, Poor, Blind, and Naked” has a spiritual angle. Leaning on his faith, however, is nothing new, Malice said. Since the Brothers Thornton first arrived on the scene with their debut album (which was shelved by Elektra Records), their rhymes have been imbued with the Lord’s guide to living. “This thing just happened, but all of my fans know, and people who have listened to my music, they have always heard me referring to my faith, even from the first album, Exclusive Audio Footage, it gave some insight into my beliefs. I was just listening to a song form that album, I had an interlude called ‘The Prayer,’ and right after that, there’s a song called ‘Watch Over Me,’ and after I listened to that, it just confirmed who I am and who I already been. I think what happened was I strayed away from my faith and I wasn’t practicing it. I was doing what I wanted to do, whatever I felt like doing. Doing what everybody else was doing.” Now, he’s rededicated and preparing to put out his tome on Monday, Valentine’s Day. “A lot of people want more, more, more, and I think it’s just important that you stop and realize where you’re at right now and try not to take anything for granted,” he said. Director Joseph Kosinski on Tron: Legacy and the Limitations of CGI-Created Actors

It’s been a very long road for Tron: Legacy to finally make it to the big screen. Rumors of a sequel to the 1982 cult favorite have been circulating on the Internet for about as long as there’s been a widely used Internet. The original Tron told the story of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), a computer programmer who found himself materialized inside the very computer system that he designed. Even when a trailer for a sequel did materialize (originally titled TR2N ) at Comic-Con in 2008 — as director Joseph Kosinski explains, that was basically his audition tape — it took two and a half more years before the film was actually put together and released. For Kosinski, today, the wait is finally over.
