According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services , Turkey lasts four days in the fridge. Four months in freezer for best quality — after four months it can dry out and lose flavor. Also, leftovers should always be reheated to 165 degrees Fahrenheit. As for the other dishes, you have up to about four days to enjoy everything else you cooked. This year was no different as PAYUSA has distributed frozen turkeys at multiple locations. The climax of the Thanksgiving Themed give away was Sunday 11/18 when the City of Atlanta’s Office of Constituent Services lent their support to serve the people alongside Positive American Youth. The Mayor of Atlanta, Mrs. Keisha Lance-Bottoms came out to meet the people and hand out a few turkeys herself! Additional support came from John Foy & Associates and Amerigroup. Jesus Be A Thanksgiving Meal: Salmonella Outbreak Causes USDA To Recall Raw Turkey

Source: LauriPatterson / Getty A lot of folks’ will be having a meatless Thanksgiving this year after the USDA’s recent recall on raw turkey. CNN reports: Jennie-O Turkey Store Sales, LLC recalled 91,388 pounds of raw ground turkey products after the USDA found that a sample of the products tested positive for a salmonella reading matching the outbreak strain. The samples were from a Sept. 11, 2018 production, and, according to the USDA, the rest of the products shipped nationwide. The Department of Agriculture has no idea where the outbreak started, which could mean that “it might be widespread in the turkey industry.” At least one person in California has passed away and 164 others across 35 states have been affected or hospitalized by the outbreak. Health officials are still investigating. Be safe though.
