Source: Robert George Young / Getty via Bossip.com : The United States Department of Agriculture announced on Thursday that Tyson Foods, Inc. recalled 69,093 pounds of their frozen chicken strips. According to the company, Tyson fears that the food was contaminated with metal. Sign Up For Our Newsletter! Close Thank you for subscribing! Email Submit For everyone out there with some chicken in their freezer wondering which product specifically, it’s the buffalo and crispy style ready-to-eat variety, which were produced on November 30, 2018. That means that all of the recalled products should have a “best if used by” date of Nov. 30, 2019, along with the establishment number “P-7221” printed on the back. These products were shipped all around the country, including going to Washington and Michigan for “ institutional use. .“ SEE ALSO: Woman Pulls Gun On Domino’s Employees For Forgetting Chicken Wings The decision to recall the chicken came after a pair of customers complained of an “extraneous material” in their strips. This most recent situation definitely isn’t the first time a product of theirs has caused some trouble for the company. Tyson asked customers to return 36,000 pounds of chicken nuggets back in January because they may have been contaminated with rubber. The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service gave this recall a “Class I” label, which means a high health risk and a “situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death.” Yikes. The agency says if you have any potentially contaminated strips in your fridge or freezer at the moment, you should return them to the store you got them from or just throw them out. The release also points out that “there have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.” ALSO TRENDING ON RICKEYSMILEYMORNINGSHOW.COM : Rest In Peace: What We Know About Cliff Dixon Porsha Williams Gives Birth To Baby Girl! A Facebook post regarding a woman who was allegedly drugged and raped at a club in Atlanta on January 19 while onlookers watched has gone viral. The woman in the video spoke out before deleting her social media accounts. The woman, identified as Jasmine Eiland, posted a video on Monday confirming that she was okay and also addressed rumors regarding her accusations. “I’m not going to address any negativity, any opinions, none of that,” she said in the video while adding, “thanks for every text, every message, I haven’t responded to all of them.” Police are currently investigating the incident and Eiland went on to say that the man in a photo she posted on Instagram earlier was not the assailant and she revealed she did not delete the video of her alleged attack because according to the police, it would slow down their investigation. Following the video of her attack being circulated, Opera Atlanta issued a statement saying, “The disturbing matter that occurred last night has been brought to our attention, and we are working as diligently as possible in full cooperation with law enforcement.” Some artists such as EDM musician Zedd have begun a boycott of the venue.

Source: Gilbert Carrasquillo / Getty This week was rough. From government shutdowns to stories of abuse, it was hard to chose winners and losers for the week. But with a deeper dive into details, the choice was clear on who was taking a W and who got left with an L. Check out the losers below, then hit the next page to find out who’s winning in these days and times. Losers The government So Trump wants $5.7 billion to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border to keep “illegal” immigrants out. A lot Democrats are like nah. Legislation that directs U.S. Treasury funds to certain federal agencies doesn’t get passed. The government goes into a partial shutdown that’s already headed into it’s third week. The department of Agriculture, Commerce, Homeland Security, Housing and Urban Development, Interior, Justice, State, Transportation and Treasury are considered shut down. Thus, close to 800,000 workers across the U.S. are currently furloughed or working for free, including many Transportation Security Administration (TSA) workers, Environmental Protection Agency workers, and even employees at major research centers like NASA. Not to mention, public assistance programs such as Section 8 vouchers have lapsed in funding causing The Department of Housing and Urban Development to send letters to 1,500 landlords asking them not to evict residents who receive assistance. You can check out all the departments affected by the shutdown here. So the question remains… WTF IS THE GOVERNMENT DOING!? What kind of government claiming to be for the people plays with their people’s livelihood? Now granted, Congress just passed a resolution on Friday ensuring back pay for workers affected by the shutdown, according to The Hill . The bill would also guarantee payment for employees affected by future shutdowns. But this doesn’t account for the stress and paranoia employees and the American people have had to endure, leading to GoFundMe pages for workers, travel safety scares and food inspection halts . Who knows what poison could’ve slipped into our tuna salad due to a brief shutdown. The only way this shutdown will end is if Dems give into Trump’s wall, Trump gives into the Dems “nah!” or they both come to an agreement – one which could include continuing the funding of all agencies, while the debate over the border wall continues separately. But Trump’s insistence that he’s willing to let the shutdown go on for “months or even years” makes it clear this can get ugly. So yea, the government is trash right now. And the American people don’t feel supported. L.

Source: LauriPatterson / Getty A lot of folks’ will be having a meatless Thanksgiving this year after the USDA’s recent recall on raw turkey. CNN reports: Jennie-O Turkey Store Sales, LLC recalled 91,388 pounds of raw ground turkey products after the USDA found that a sample of the products tested positive for a salmonella reading matching the outbreak strain. The samples were from a Sept. 11, 2018 production, and, according to the USDA, the rest of the products shipped nationwide. The Department of Agriculture has no idea where the outbreak started, which could mean that “it might be widespread in the turkey industry.” At least one person in California has passed away and 164 others across 35 states have been affected or hospitalized by the outbreak. Health officials are still investigating. Be safe though.
Demi Lovato gushing over Wilmer Valderrama is nothing new. Back in March, the singer expressed her gratitude over the actor, saying in no uncertain terms that Valderrama saved her life . Heck, Lovato even believes she and Valderrama are more of an epic couple than Olivia and Fitz on Scandal . Strong words! But this is new and ever so romantic: Demi spoke to a New Zealand radio show this week and said she’s ready to have a ring put on it whenever Valderrama is ready. “I am very, very in love with him,” Lovato said of her 35-year old beau. “I think we’ll probably wait a little bit longer, but if he asked tomorrow, I’d say yes.” Ohhhh, that’s so excited! Come on, Wilmer! Take the hint, which is scarcely even a hint! The stars are 13 years apart in age, of course, which raised more than a few eyebrows at first But “after a while everyone around us started to see that what we have was real and incredible and very special, and we’ve been together ever since,” Lovato said. “Obviously my family loves him.. you can see when we’re together or even just from our Instagrams that we’re very sweet to one another.” It’s true. Consider the caption Lovato wrote to accompany the photo above: “My love… Always supporting me on set… At 4 am even if he has to get up to work at 8.” If that isn’t true love, folks, what is?!? Louis Tomlinson will soon be a first-time father. But you would never know it based on the singer’s Twitter feed. With the Internet still rattling over news that Tomlinson got good friend Briana Jungwirth pregnant, the One Direction star went online Wednesday night and issued his first public statement. But it had nothing to do with impending fatherhood. “Amazing show! Thank you for your support!!” Tomlinson Tweeted following a concert in Seattle. Which, you know, is perfectly nice and normal. But the news that Tomlinson is about to be a father is anything but normal… and some of his supporters believe he should at least have acknowledged it. “DONT ACT LIKE U DONT KNOW ANYTHING LOVE JUST ANSWER THE FREAKIN QUESTION,” wrote a Twitter user named “louvelyxlou.” Others, meanwhile, are apparently waiting for Tomlinson to deny this story (“are you kidding me. deNY THE F*CKING RUMORS,” penned one passionate fan), which means they are destined to be disappointed. Louis Tomlinson is going to be a father, people. And perhaps he isn’t addressing the topic out of respect for Briana Jungwirth’s privacy. That would actually be a noble gesture, don’t you think? In mid-May, Johnny Depp found himself in major trouble after sneaking his two Yorkshire Terriers into Australia. Once the government learned of the dogs’ existence, they actually gave Depp a time frame during which he could evacuate the canine… or else they would be killed . Now, as a result of the same incident, Depp’s wife, Amber Heard, has actually been charged two counts of illegally importing Pistol and Boo into the country. She also faces one count of producing a false document, the Commonwealth Department of Public Prosecutions said on Thursday. If convicted across the board, Heard faces a $75,000 fine… and 10 years in prison. Earlier this year, Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce accused Depp of smuggling the couple’s puppies aboard his private jet while filming the fifth movie in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. (The shooting of which ought to be a crime in and of itself.) “If we start letting movie stars – even though they’ve been the sexiest man alive twice – to come into our nation (with pets), then why don’t we just break the laws for everybody?” Joyce said at the time. “It’s time that Pistol and Boo buggered off back to the United States.” Australia has strict quarantine regulations to prevent diseases such as rabies from spreading to its shores. It’s a complicated process to bring dogs into the country, one that involves permits and quarantines, and one that Depp and Heard ignored. The actress is due in a Queensland court on September 7 to answer to this summons.
Where is Samuel L. Jackson when you need him? A tiny Mandarin Rat Snake was found in the passenger cabin of a Quatas airliner Monday, prompting the company to cancel the flight and put all passengers up at a local airport while they tracked down a replacement jet. Snake on a Plane! The 20-centimeter, mildly venomous animal was eventually apprehended and taken by quarantine officials for analysis. “The Department of Agriculture is looking into how the snake came to be on the plane, but isn’t able to speculate at this time,” the Department said in a statement. So not exactly stuff of horror movie legend, but still. It’s nice to know someone got that mother effin snake off that mother effin plane. It could have caused some damage.
