Louis Tomlinson Tweets Fan Appreciation, Fails to Mention Baby

Louis Tomlinson will soon be a first-time father. But you would never know it based on the singer’s Twitter feed. With the Internet still rattling over news that Tomlinson got good friend Briana Jungwirth pregnant, the One Direction star went online Wednesday night and issued his first public statement. But it had nothing to do with impending fatherhood. “Amazing show! Thank you for your support!!” Tomlinson Tweeted following a concert in Seattle. Which, you know, is perfectly nice and normal. But the news that Tomlinson is about to be a father is anything but normal… and some of his supporters believe he should at least have acknowledged it. “DONT ACT LIKE U DONT KNOW ANYTHING LOVE JUST ANSWER THE FREAKIN QUESTION,” wrote a Twitter user named “louvelyxlou.” Others, meanwhile, are apparently waiting for Tomlinson to deny this story (“are you kidding me. deNY THE F*CKING RUMORS,” penned one passionate fan), which means they are destined to be disappointed. Louis Tomlinson is going to be a father, people. And perhaps he isn’t addressing the topic out of respect for Briana Jungwirth’s privacy. That would actually be a noble gesture, don’t you think? Amber Heard Charged with Dog Smuggling, Faces 10 YEARS in Prison

In mid-May, Johnny Depp found himself in major trouble after sneaking his two Yorkshire Terriers into Australia. Once the government learned of the dogs’ existence, they actually gave Depp a time frame during which he could evacuate the canine… or else they would be killed . Now, as a result of the same incident, Depp’s wife, Amber Heard, has actually been charged two counts of illegally importing Pistol and Boo into the country. She also faces one count of producing a false document, the Commonwealth Department of Public Prosecutions said on Thursday. If convicted across the board, Heard faces a $75,000 fine… and 10 years in prison. Earlier this year, Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce accused Depp of smuggling the couple’s puppies aboard his private jet while filming the fifth movie in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. (The shooting of which ought to be a crime in and of itself.) “If we start letting movie stars – even though they’ve been the sexiest man alive twice – to come into our nation (with pets), then why don’t we just break the laws for everybody?” Joyce said at the time. “It’s time that Pistol and Boo buggered off back to the United States.” Australia has strict quarantine regulations to prevent diseases such as rabies from spreading to its shores.  It’s a complicated process to bring dogs into the country, one that involves permits and quarantines, and one that Depp and Heard ignored. The actress is due in a Queensland court on September 7 to answer to this summons.

James Holmes Convicted of Murder in Aurora Movie Theater Massacre

A Colorado jury has found James Eagan Holmes guilty of first-degree murder in the deaths of 12 people at an Aurora movie theater three years ago. As a result, Holmes could face the death penalty. Despite an attempt by defense attorneys to paint Holmes as insane for his attack at a premiere screening of The Dark Knight Rises on July 20, 2012, the culprit was found guilty of the following: 24 counts of first-degree murder. 140 counts of attempted murder. One explosives count. “The families in Aurora have found justice; we must now work to prevent cases like these,” said Congresswoman Watson Coleman in response to the verdict. Holmes, a 27-year old former doctoral student in neuroscience at the University of Colorado-Denver, pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to the charges against him. He never denied carrying out the bloody massacre. With his hair dyed orange, Holmes told police upon apprehension that he was The Joker . At the time of the rampage, he wore a ballistic helmet, a vest, a throat protector, a gas mask and black tactical gloves. Sentencing begins next Wednesday and it may take as long as a month before we know whether Holmes receives the death penalty or simply life in prison.

James Holmes Pleads Not Guilty; Judge Enters Plea on Behalf of Aurora Suspect

A Colorado judge entered a plea of not guilty on behalf of James Holmes, whose attorney said he was not ready to enter one in the Aurora shooting case. The judge thus entered a not guilty plea for him and said he could change the plea to not guilty by reason of insanity, the Associated Press reports. James Holmes , who faces 166 counts of murder, manslaughter and other crimes for the July 2012 massacre, sat silent, but alert, at the hearing. He alternately appeared to look at the judge and stare into space . Jailed for eight months now, the 25-year-old was reportedly restrained in a psychiatric ward for several days last fall out of fear he might harm himself. To be found not guilty by reason of insanity, Holmes has to prove he did not know right from wrong when he committed the crime of which he is accused. Prosecutors say Holmes planned the massacre well in advance, ordering arms and ammunition through the internet and dressing in paramilitary gear. To make matters even worse, police also found explosives in his apartment that had reportedly been rigged to go off when authorities entered. Holmes had no connection to his victims, and unlike Newtown shooter Adam Lanza , or Columbine shooters Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, did not commit suicide. He has been compared to Jared Loughner , who opened fire outside a Tucson supermarket in 2011, killing 6 and wounding 13 others, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. Loughner, a diagnosed schizophrenic, was initially ruled not competent to stand trial, but after more than a year of treatment inside a federal prison, pleaded guilty. He was sentenced to life without parole. The D.A. will make an announcement on April 1 about whether he intends to seek the death penalty for Holmes, whose defense asked for more time to prepare.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries Battle in Court, May Never Get Divorced

As a dig at Kris Humphries, Kim Kardashian appears in a new Kanye West music video just as her current boyfriend is slamming her estranged husband. Following events today in court, however, the reality star may need to come up with more overt ways to bash the heck out of this professional baller. Attorneys for both sides of this failed marriage – Laura Wasser for Kim and Marshall Waller for Kris – appeared before Judge Stephen Moloney in L.A. Superior Court. The goal? To essentially figure out why the heck a 72-day marriage with a prenuptial agreement is taking so long to legally destroy. The answer, according to Waller, is that he simply needs time to collect the evidence that will supposedly prove Kardashian defrauded his client into marriage. And Kardashian’s lawyer isn’t really helping him gather what he needs to. “I don’t want to use the word uncooperative, but they are not making the process easier,” Waller told the judge, adding that he plans to depose 33 witnesses and has so far been unsuccessful in obtaining Kris Jenner’s business records. He said it could take four more months to collect all the discovery he desires. Wasser, meanwhile, has no clue what to make of all this. She says Humphries actually sent a process server with a Nordstrom box to Kardashian’s home. Inside was a deposition request for West. “To say I am frustrated is an understatement,” said Wasser, who has claimed in the past that Humphries is simply dragging out this battle for PR purposes and plans on making him pay the $250,000-plus in legal fees that Kim has accrues so far. She had a simple question for the judge today: “To what end does he want this annulment?” It’s unclear, and it may remain that way for a very long time: Judge Moloney set the next court date at November 28 for a status conference..

Dave Mustaine: Barack Obama Staged Aurora Shooting!

Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine says President Barack Obama somehow “staged” the recent Colorado shooting as part of a conspiracy to ban guns. Seriously. In comments that may put even Ted Nugent to shame, Dave suggested that Obama was behind the massacre perpetrated by James Holmes … and a lot more. At a Tuesday, August 7 performance in Singapore, Mustaine told the crowd, “Back in my country, my president … he’s trying to pass a gun ban.” “So he’s staging all of these murders, like the ‘Fast And Furious’ thing down at the border … Aurora, Colorado, all the people that were killed there … and the beautiful people at the [Wisconsin Sikh temple].” The rocker continued, “I don’t know where I’m gonna live if America keeps going the way it’s going because it looks like it’s turning into Nazi America.” One major hole in Mustaine’s “theory” (besides basic facts): Obama has not made any push for gun control in the wake of these tragedies. In any case, Mustaine is not a big Obama fan. He endorsed Rick Santorum for the GOP nomination this spring, and has been part of the “birther” crusade. In an interview with Alex Jones (below), Dave wondered why no one has tried to impeach Obama, “With all of the proof about his birth certificate being fake.” “And you see the signs in Kenya that say ‘the birthplace of Barack Obama.’ Hello?! C’mon, guys. How stupid are we right now?” A very good question, Dave. One that’s left us speechless.

Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star Stevie J probably should stop two-timing Joseline and Mimi, or at least routinely rubbing this fact in both of their faces. Last night in L.A., baby mama Mimi hit him in the face after he made a joke about Joseline, his on/off piece on the side, getting in a fight with Mimi. Stevie J and Joseline ‘s questionable relationship has played out on the VH1 reality show … at one point she went after him pretty hard as well. Snooki & JWoww: Banned By Two More New Jersey Towns

Snooki and JWoww will not be welcome in Toms River or Point Pleasant, New Jersey, during the second season of their Jersey Shore spinoff show. The Point Pleasant Beach Council unanimously voted against a request to tape the Snooki & JWoww there; Toms River negged a similar request. Guess they gotta need to keep the quota of overly tanned girls with giant fake boobs saying inane things to a minimum … or at least limit the traffic. Season 1 was filmed in Jersey City, N.J., after Hoboken negged them . Jersey Shore itself is filmed in Seaside Heights, further down the Atlantic coast. Although it doesn’t have a location yet, Season 2 of Snooki & JWoww will be an entertaining ride to say the least, given all that should transpire. “It would probably be up to my labor and [my baby] being born,” Snooki told E!
