On February 21, Teen Mom OG duo Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra welcomed a precious little baby girl into the world. “But wait,” you may be wondering, “how do you know she's precious? We've never even seen a photo of her!” We know she's precious, friends. Catelynn and Tyler were kind enough to share photos of their brand new bundle of joy with The Hollywood Gossip exclusively. Back in August Ben Affleck checked into rehab for the third time . The actor has struggled with alcoholism for his entire adult life, and he sought professional help at the urging of his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, who staged an impromptu intervention at Affleck’s home before driving him to treatment. These days, Ben is out of treatment, and sources say he’s fully committed to the hard work of recovery. Of course, that means Affleck has had to make quite a few changes in his life, some purely positive, others a bit painful. In the former category, Ben has gotten back together with Lindsay Shookus , the SNL producer he first started dating in 2017. Insiders say Affleck’s drinking interfered with the relationship the first time around, and these days he and Lindsay are happier together than ever before. But of course, not all of the changes in Ben’s newly sober life have been as gratifying as his reconciliation with Shookus. For starters, Affleck has stepped away from his role as Batman in order to focus on his family and his recovery. He does so with the dubious distinction of being the only actor to don the cape and cowl without starring in a standalone film (all of Affleck’s appearances as Batman were in ensemble pieces that functioned as installments in an existing franchise). But Affleck’s been in Hollywood long enough to know that projects don’t always work out as planned, and he likely wasn’t too broken up about the end of his tenure in Gotham. However, the fact that his oldest friendship has begun to fizzle — that may not be sitting so well with the artist formerly known as Batfleck. Yes, according to Star magazine (so take this one with many grains of salt), Matt Damon finds it hard to hang out with Ben now that his former “drinking buddy” has dried out. “It’s not like Matt’s getting drunk and getting in the car – he likes to drink responsibly,” a source tells the tabloid. “But his drinking has absolutely limited the amount of time he can spend with Ben, who’s trying to lead a sober life.” The insider adds that Damon prefers to party with Chris Hemsworth these days because the Aussie actor enjoys knocking back a few Foster’s. “[Hemsworth] never turns down a chance to party with his bros,” the tipster adds. “Matt likes hanging with Chris because he doesn’t have to worry. Being around Ben means he can’t even enjoy a beer.” Not surprisingly, sources close to Damon deny this account. Carmen Argenziano is a versatile, legendary actor with hundreds of acting roles under his belt. He is best known for his roles on Stargate SG-1 and in The Godfather Part II . On Sunday, Carmen passed away. He was 75 years old. Even Horizon Talent released the sad news about Carmen Argenziano with a deeply personal statement. “It is with a heavy heart and more sadness than anyone can realize right now,” the statement begins. The statement continues: “that I announce the passing of client Carmen Argenziano at the age of 75.” “His acting career began in the early 1970s and included a turn in The Godfather, Part II,” the announcement acknowledges. “Carmen worked steadily over more than 40 years,” the statement notes. “And was a staple character actor on our televisions throughout that time.” The announcement continues: “including on series such as ‘Cheers,’ ‘Melrose Place,’ ‘ER,’ ‘CSI:NY’ and many others.” Carmen did this “while also lending his talents to films both tentpole [expensive major motion picture] and intimate.” “To genre fans,” the statement continues. “He is best known for his role as Jacob Carter/Selmak on the series ‘Stargate SG-1.'” Genre is sometimes used as a euphemism for interesting media such as science fiction and fantasy. It was “a role he relished and recurred in for seven years.” “While Carmen was a client,” the announcement notes. “He was also a good friend.” “While he was a class act and a consummate gentleman at the events he was booked for,” the statement says. “He was also a caring and generous person.” “While I had known him for more than a decade,” the statement reads. It continues: “It wasn’t until the past three years as a representative for him that our trust and friendship grew and blossomed.” “He truly treated me like family,” the announcement affirms. “And that sentiment was returned.” “Please join me in sending thoughts and prayers to Carmen’s family and loved ones during this difficult time,” the statement asks. This heartbreaking announcement confirms: “Godspeed, my friend.” Carmen Argenziano had 227 IMDB credits under his belt. As the statement mentions, Carmen is best known for the twin roles of Jacob Carter and Selmak on Stargate SG-1 , which he played from 1998 to 2005. Portraying two characters sharing a body isn’t easy, but Carmen made the role very natural. He was introduced in Season 2 of the series and remained a returning character. Because Jacob Carter was the father of main character Samantha Carter (played by Amanda Tapping), Carmen appeared in 25 episodes. (That’s more than a season’s worth, and means that he appeared in nearly one out of every eight episodes of the long-running series) Ultimately, his character died in a moving episode, “Threads,” during the show’s eighth season. One often overlooked role of Carmen’s was his appearance on “Knives,” a pivotal episode of the science fiction classic Babylon 5 . He has also appeared on murdery mysteries and in films, including Angels and Demons . More than once, he was cast to portray a priest, a role that he portrayed with dignity and nuance. Tyler Baltierra just learned the hard way: You really can’t have fun on the Internet. Not even when you joke about all the strangers out there who fantasize about riding your joystick in bed. Confused? Allow us to explain… The veteran Teen Mom OG cast member turned a few heads of his Twitter earlier this month when he retweeted someone who had tagged him in a rather X-rated message. It read as follows: “Last night I had a sex dream about [Tyler Baltierra] yeah… so there’s that revelation.” Weird and random, but whatever, right? It’s still flattering! And Tyler basically responded as such. “Dude I swear, I see posts from people about having sex dreams with me at least once a day hahaha!” he Tweeted. “Apparently I’ve been getting around in the dreamworld.” This seems like a totally normal and harmless response. But try telling that to some folks on the World Wide Web. “This is so inappropriate, as a married man to post,” wrote one troll, somehow thinking Tyler was betraying wife Catelynn by simply noting that a bunch of folks out there evidently fantasize about his naked body. Tyler snapped back at this individual as follows: I told @CatelynnLowell about it & you will NEVER believe what she did!? She laughed her ass off! I know, I know, it’s gotta be shocking to everyone that we can joke with each other about such “sensitive” issues lol! Especially as sensitive as one’s inability to control dreams. Well said, dude. This was/is perhaps a sensitive topic for Tyler because he recently requested a 30-day break from his marriage. Many people interpreted this as meaning Tyler wanted to sleep around, prompting an angry reply from Baltierra. “When you say ‘separation,’ everyone’s like, ‘Oh my god, a separation?” It’s not like we’re seeing other people or we’re not talking at all or not spending time with each other,” Tyler previously told Us Weekly about his quasi, temporary split from Catelynn. Tyler’s own father actually asked his son a short while ago when he wanted to take a hiatus because he wanted to have sex with a new woman. And this belief clearly bothers Tyler a lot. “The main goal is to stay with my wife and live this life,” Tyler insisted in this same Us Weekly interview. He added at the time: “We love each other. It’s crazy because when you do grow up with each other, no one can really understand the bond. There is no explanation for it. “It’s hard for people like my dad, who’s been in prison his whole life and never really had a serious adult relationship, to relate. Things have been kind of weird for Teen Mom lately, huh? And by “kind of weird,” we mean 100% bananas. During the last season, a whole, whole lot of changes were made to our beloved Teen Mom OG. Since Farrah Abraham was out, they replaced her with Cheyenne Floyd , a girl from other MTV reality shows who had never been a teen mother. She had her first and only child at 24, so … that was a choice. Then, just for fun, they threw in Bristol Palin as a fifth cast member. Ryan Edwards was cut from the show , and since he was part of Maci’s story, they didn’t need to hire someone else to take his place. But he and Mackenzie Standifer did provide a huge amount of drama, so his absence was definitely noticeable. In addition to all of this, Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra went from being some of the most beloved cast members to some of the most despised. And oh, what a ride that was. As we all know so well by now, Catelynn had a miscarriage in late 2017, and she began having suicidal thoughts afterwards. She decided to check into a treatment center in Arizona for six weeks to deal with everything, and Tyler fully supported her. So did the vast majority of Teen Mom viewers. But then, just a couple of weeks after coming home, she decided to go back for another six weeks. She didn’t want to consider doing therapy while staying at home, or even checking in for some inpatient treatment in their home state of Michigan. Tyler told her that he was struggling holding everything down without her, and it was clear that their daughter, Nova, was also struggling with her mom being gone for so long. She left for Arizona again anyway. That’s really when the tides began to turn. Later, we saw Tyler tell his mother that Cate had told him that she’d been skipping therapy sessions to sleep in after staying up late to watch movies, which was odd, considering how hard she’d insisted she needed the therapy. He admitted that he was losing empathy for her, and pretty much everyone watching at home was like “Yeah, same.” When she got home from that stay in rehab, she didn’t seem too interested in helping Tyler deal with his issues — issues he’d been having from dealing with his addict sister, his addict father, the miscarriage, his own traumatic upbringing … It was bad. For a while, she refused to go to therapy with him, and he grew more and more exasperated with her. Then she got pregnant . The pregnancy didn’t fix their relationship, and they ended up going through a trial separation . Now they’re back together and gearing up to welcome their baby, a daughter they’ll name Tezlee who is due in March. But still, people are not happy with her. And they just got straight up vicious on her latest Instagram post. The post itself was pretty tame — just a Boomerang of her bath water. But in her caption, she wrote “I LOVE baths. #obsessed especially with this pregnancy I take like 2-3 baths a day.” Unfortunately, not many of her followers were impressed. “No one takes 3 baths a day while pregnant,” one person wrote. “I hope you at least take one and can clean up your filthy house. And please no more kids until you can get yourself together.” “Lol 2-3 baths,” someone else commented. “Must have a lot of times on your hands.” Another person had a similar thought, writing “Wow, how nice it must be to not have a job.” The idea of having enough time to take two or three baths a day wasn’t the only issue taken with Catelynn’s post. Several people told her that baths weren’t safe so late in pregnancy — some said the water temperature wasn’t good for the baby, others said it decreased the heart rate. Her water could break and she wouldn’t know it, the water could soften the amniotic sac … We’re sure at least some of those aren’t true, but then there’s the problem of waste. “Get a grip,” yet another outraged Teen Mom fan told her. “2-3 baths a day is so water intensive and awful for the environment, set a good example for your child.” And then, of course, there were the unnecessarily nasty comments, like the ones that read “Hopefully her new baby is taken from her” and “Yuck, does your fat ass even fit in the tub?!” Last night, she began deleting some of the negative comments, and she even responded to some, explaining that she had an awesome husband who cared for their daughter so she could take her baths. Obviously lots and lots of things happened, and now they are less cute and more on the brink of divorce. It seems like nearly every day we hear something new and sad about the relationship between Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra. And every day, it seems worse and worse. Even though Catelynn is pregnant, Tyler has asked for a separation. And although he told her that he has no intentions of being with anyone else during this separation … Well, it kind of sounds like he's changing his tune now. 1. Middle School Sweethearts Catelynn and Tyler have been together since seventh grade, when they were 12 years old. 2. Dang They’re 26 years old now — that means that they’ve been together for over half their lives, since they were children. 3. Makes Sense So yeah, they’re having some big problems right now … it’s definitely understandable, considering most couples who dated in middle school only dated for about three days. 4. The Problem(s) Things have probably never been picture perfect between them, but they started getting serious at the beginning of this year, when Catelynn returned home from a six-week stay at a treatment center in Arizona and then turned around and went back for another six weeks. 5. Alternatives? He begged her to try therapy while still living at home, or even finding a treatment center within driving distance, but she refused, even when their daughter, Nova, was clearly still having a hard dealing with her first trip to rehab. 6. Ouch After she left, Tyler told his sister that she was starting to remind him of their father, Butch, who was absent for most of his childhood. Teen Mom OG serves as a great reminder that baby daddy drama can be forever. Both Bristol and Cheyenne grappled with very different types of baby daddy drama. And Amber, who gave the episode its title, was taking up boxing as therapy to ward off yet another Instagram meltdown . Bristol was grappling with baby daddy Levi Johnson’s refusal to sign off on Tripp’s Dancing With The Stars: Junior contract. “Levi refused to sign this contract,” Bristol claimed. “Saying that he has zero interest in the money that Tripp makes.” Bristol accused: “He’s had this document for two months now.” “All these triggers with my baby daddies…they all come from money,” Bristol lamented. She then confessed: “I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong to have all these terrible relationships.” Sometimes, terrible people date terrible people. Water always finds its level. So why was Bristol’s first baby daddy balking? Levi himself, who was kind of entertaining for a while in 2008 but never deserved to be played by Justin Gaston on HBO’s Game Change , explains. “Don’t play that on me…you sent me a piece of paper with no contract to look at, so I didn’t know what I’m signing,” Levi countered. Levi said: “That’s not how it works.” Bristol, however, thinks that Levi is missing the urgency of the situation. “Tripp’s not being paid until that contract is signed,” Bristol grumbled. In the end, Levi did sign it, and surprised her with cash for half of the plane ticked back to Alaska. Then there was Catelynn and Tyler, who were having some communication issues as they discussed going to couples counseling. “He’s bad at saying what he needs to say in the right way,” Catelynn noted. “He just comes across really sharp,” she explained. “I’m a feeler, so I feel that intense like, holy s–t, someone’s pissed off,” she continued. Catelynn was quick to clarify: “It’s nothing huge or detrimental to our relationship.” Being hypersensitive to the moods of others, especially to tone of voice, is an extremely common symptom of PTSD. One of the issues that they were having was how Nova had refused to leave Catelynn’s side for so long. They were concerned about her separation anxiety when Catelynn left to do a show about adoption. Ultimately, their biggest worry as a couple was about continuing to process old wounds. Having given up their child for adoption when they were just 16 and then remaining together as a couple has really left some emotional scars. They did resolve that they can get through anything, including bringing up these sensitive topics in therapy. Amber Portwood spent some time letting off some steam with some boxing. She has taken up the sport as therapy for her bipolar depression and her anger issues. After Amber’s latest tirade in which she threatened violence and used slurs, it’s a relief to see that she has an outlet. “I got a four month old baby!” Amber shouted after So this would have been filmed in, what, early-ish September? Amber had confessed to partner Andrew Glennon that she was not an athletic child. She then went on to hold her own while boxing. Afterward, she was very emotional as she spoke to Andrew. “Meeting you, and the people that you surround yourself with, uplifts me to know that I can do more in life,” she confessed through tears. That is very sweet. Though her recent social media tirade shows that she still has a lot of ground to cover. Cheyenne Floyd was having baby daddy drama, just like Bristol. Unlike Bristol, her drama also involved her current beau. These problems with boyfriend Zach came up when baby daddy Cory Wharton wanted her to bring their daughter Ryder to visit him. “I feel like Cory is more of a priority than me,” Zach accused. “I just feel like the way you treat him versus you treat me,” Zach said. “It’s not the same. There’s no comparison.” In Zach’s eyes: “It’s almost like you’re more so in a relationship with him.” “If I had a baby’s mother and she asked me to go out there and spend time, you would not be OK with that,” he suggested. If you’ve ever whispered break up with him at a television screen, you know how rare it is for people to listen. Cheyenne, however, did just that. She did not have time to poultice his bruised ego. She’s a mom. “Right now, that’s my focus,” Cheyenne explained. “Ensuring that I have a good coparenting relationship with Cory.” She explained that it’s important “that Ryder has a good relationship with her dad and his family.” “So,” she concluded. “If my relationships, if my friendships … if my personal relationships suffer because of it, I will take that right now.” Cheyenne and Zach are broken up, at least for now.
