Matt Roloff Breaks Silence on Ex-Wife’s Engagement

Let no one ever say that divorce has to be messy. Or ugly. Or really disagreeable at all. Don’t believe us? Just ask Amy Roloff and Matt Roloff. Not only did these two split after nearly 27 years of marriage and four kids, but they continued to work together on the TLC reality show Little People, Big World. Moreover, they actually continued to live on the same property until very recently, residing just 100 yards or so away from each other on their mutually-owned farm in Oregon. Just how well do these exes get along? Consider the following: Amy just got engaged last week to boyfriend Chris Marek — and Matt has now become the first family member to congratulate her in public! The Roloff patriarch did so in sort of a subtle way, but he definitely did so nonethless. “My buddy Ty and I got together for our regular Saturday morning breakfast today,” Matt as a caption to a photo he shared of himself and his friend over the weekend, adding simply: “He doesn’t do social media … so I filled him in on Amy’s exciting engagement news. Congratulations to Amy and Chris!!” There you have it, folks. We have no doubt that Amy’s kids, all of whom welcomed Marek into their lives years ago, are thrilled for their mother. But, as far as we know, none of them have said anything about the engagement on social media just yet. Marek popped the question a few days ago, shortly after Amy turned 55 years old. “I’m excited, I’m so surprised, I’m thrilled!” Amy told People Magazine of the engagement, adding to the publication: “I never in a million years thought I’d be getting married again, but I also hoped for it! Now that it’s happening, I couldn’t be happier or more excited.” She and Chris have been dating for almost three years and fans around the globe had been hoping/anticipating an engagement announcement could be forthcoming. Even Marek, who has rarely spoken to the press during his courtship of Roloff, commented on the major development after Amy agreed to marry him. “I was very nervous! It had to be a heart shaped diamond because I knew that’s what Amy wanted,” he said. Amy has since shown off her engagement ring ( it’s gorgeous!!!!! ) on Instagram and included with the snapshot a caption that reads: I was so surprised when Chris asked me to marry him. I said YES. I couldn’t be happier and so looking forward to this new part of our life journey together. I’m blessed. Love you Chris. I love us. No word yet on a wedding date or location or anything. But the couple has plenty of time. As for Amy and Matt? They’ve been nothing but respectful of each other over the years, with the notable exception of Amy having come out with a very personal memoir this summer. In one section, she writes in detail about her split from Matt and states firmly that he cheated on her back in the day with his current girlfriend, Caryn Chandler. In an emotional sense, at the very least. “We had someone that worked for us for a very long time, on our farm,” Amy writes of Chandler in the book, adding: “And I believe – this is all from my perspective – that there was more than just friends going on. And I think that evolved to a point where that got in the way of our marriage as well.” Yikes . And yet: isn’t it nice to see Matt send Amy his best wishes, even in the wake of this controversial release and revelation? View Slideshow: Matt Roloff Fires Back at Amy: I’m Better Than You Are!

Amy Roloff: Matt Betrayed Me, Sent Texts to Caryn Chandler During Marriage

As has been well documented on this website — and as has been well chronicled on Little People, Big World — Matt and Amy Roloff get along extremely well. In the years since their divorce in 2016, the ex spouses have figured out a way not just to co-exist, but also to thrive as business partners and colleagues. Is all that about to change, however? Is all good will about to be thrown out the door now that Amy has leveled some pretty heinous allegations at her former husband? In her new book, A Little Me, Amy delves into the problems that plagued her long-time marriage to Matt, which produced four children and one very successful reality show. She says very explicitly that Matt developed a relationship with his current girlfriend, Caryn Chandler , back when he was still married to Amy. As their TLC show grew in popularity, Amy writes in her memoir Matt started “spending more and more time at the tavern he often frequented in the evenings after filming and working on the farm.” She never references Chandler by name, but she goes on to say the “farm manager” was “around more and more often.” (Indeed, it’s common knowledge that this is how Caryn met Matt and his loved ones; she worked on Roloff Farms.) “Then it dawned on me. Matt and our farm manager, who had been working for us a number of years by then, seemed to have more than just a working relationship or friendship,” she writes in this biography, adding in one charged chapter: “I saw messages, pictures, and other things that should not have been shared between people who just worked together and were still married to other people. “I was devastated.” Wow, huh? Late last month, for the first time we can recall, Amy also hinted strongly that Matt cheated on her with Chandler . “I think when you start looking before you’re separated in marriage, that is hard,” Amy said in a video at that time alongside her friend Lisa Dixon. She continued: “When you become involved or much more than just a friend, but you become more in a relationship than just say ‘Hey, hi friend, lets go out for coffees’ type of thing, I think that can be hard on the other person as well. “And I think that’s what happened in my case.” Matt has not yet responded to all Amy is asserting, either in her book or in this video. But she writes that she kept her feelings inside for “several years” in order to keep her family together… to no avail in the end, of course. “Because I didn’t say anything, my emotions and attitude came out in other unhealthy ways,” she recounts, explaining: “I took it out on Matt on camera sometimes instead of talking to him off camera, and that wasn’t right. I cried a lot over those next several years. I didn’t have a plan, and I didn’t know what to do.” Who would know what to do in such a situation? Amy gets into some pretty major detail in the book. She claims that Matt exhibited bizarre behavior, toward the end of their marriage — such as leaving a family trip to Memphis abruptly … and then returning days later, saying they needed to go home immediately if they had any chance of saving the marriage. Amy decided to stay on the trip in this case,  with her kids and the production team to fulfill contractual obligations, but Matt took off again. She doesn’t really mention what could have been going on there. But it’s clear she was struggling for awhile. “I was scared and ashamed anything remotely like this could be happening,” she writes. “Was Matt really interested in someone else right in front of me? Why would he even go there when were still married? I kept quiet over the years. “I didn’t even think about divorce; I didn’t want it to be an option. I’ve never felt so alone, hurt, and betrayed in my life.” We have no idea if Matt knew Amy was going to write these things in her memoir, but the two made a jont public appearance in May and talked about the mutual respect that exists between them. “We like to say: There’s no Team Matt and no Team Amy,” Matt said. “It’s Team Roloff.” He added: “We still drive each other crazy. But then we respect each other as well.” View Slideshow: Little People, Big World: The Roloffs’ Shocking Scandals… Exposed! [Updated]

Amy and Matt Roloff: How Does Their Relationship Work?!?

Amy Roloff and Matt Roloff work together and live approximately 100 yards away from each other. They see each other almost everyday and are constantly asked about one another. And yet… Amy and Matt are not merely divorced, but they are in very serious relationships with other people and yet still manage to remain amicable and supportive of each other. This prompts an obvious question, right? HOW?!? How do they make this arrangement successful? “We want to remain respectful,” Amy told Access in a recent interview, explaining how they may no longer be husband and wife… but they will always be the parents of four children. “For the sake of our kids. … We did have a long life together … it didn’t work out, we’ve moved on, but for the sake of the kids, you know,” she added. Most of Little People, Big World this season has been centered on a feud between Amy and Matt. The latter seemingly wants to sell the family farm, while the former is far more hesitant. Matt went as far as to say Amy was holding his life hostage on a recent episode, but this obstacle doesn't appear to have affected the former couple's long-term relationship. “We can drive each other crazy, but then we respect each other as well,” Matt told Us Weekly a few days ago, echoing his ex-wife's sentiment. He even said the pair often hang out together…  with  their respective girlfriend (Caryn Chandler) and boyfriend (Chris Marek). “We ran an event just the other day – I was there with Caryn and [she was] there with Chris, and Amy and I and Chris and Caryn all had conversation. There was no tension in the room; it was all very easy.” Easy, perhaps. But also unusual. Amy explained to this same tabloid that the quartet are likely not “going to be best friends,” yet they “can be in the same room” together. Matt, for his part, said he would love to double date with Amy and her boyfriend, but “it hasn’t gotten anywhere” yet. He has, however, put trolls in their place any time they criticize Amy online. He still has her back. The TLC costars — who share twins Jeremy and Zach Roloff, 28, son Jacob Roloff, 22, and daughter Molly Roloff, 25 — got married in 1987 and announced their split in June of 2015 “After 27 years of marriage, it is with great sadness that we have come to the difficult decision to file for divorce,” they said in a statement at the time, concluding: “We are proud of what we have accomplished together.” The duo now reside in separate houses on the same Oregon farm, which they still run as a team. Although it's unclear for how much longer this will be the case. Check out snippets from their recent interview here!

Caryn Chandler: Matt Roloff and Baby Jackson Have My Whole Heart!!

Little People, Big World star Matt Roloff has been hounded by engagement rumors for a while now. To be fair, he and girlfriend Chandler are very close. She spends a lot of time with him — and with his family. In the cutest new photo, the two of them are spending some quality time with their adorable grandbaby, Jackson. Caryn Chandler posted a cozy pic of her with boyfriend Matt Roloff and precious baby Jackson Roloff. Jackson is happily seated between the two adults, and they are all dressed in layers for warmth. “It’s freezing in Portland …” Caryn acknowledges in her captions. “But,” she continues. “My heart melts when I hang with these two.” Good company really is the best way to endure any weather. We cannot get over how unspeakably adorable baby Jackson’s face is in this photo. Just look at him! Matt loved the pic so much that he shared it on his own Instagram. “This little farmer is soooo easy to hang with!” Matt praised Jackson in the caption. “He should write the book,” Matt suggested. “How to manage a grandpa!” That is super cute. Though some people believe that Caryn Chandler will murder Matt Roloff, most fans are onboard with this relationship. That said, seeing Caryn go from employee to part of the family hasn’t been easy for everyone. Almost a year ago, Amy Roloff opened up about how that romance impacts her as a grandmother. “Seeing her with Jackson [and the other family members] … It’s difficult,” Amy confessed in May. She admitted: “It’s definitely been the hardest thing to watch.” Being honest with yourself about your feelings is the first step to working through them. Good for her for facing that head-on. Caryn has been close to the Roloff family for a long time. When Matt and Amy separated and divorced, it was a huge adjustment for everyone involved. When they each began to date again, that too was a big deal for them and for their family. But Matt is dating Caryn and Amy is dating Chris Marek. Some fans still grumble or hurl wild accusations that these new love interests are just gold diggers or interested in fame. But most care about Amy and Matt and are thrilled to see them so happy. Unfortunately, there is a dark side to some of the trolls who like to bash Caryn and Chris. The best of them just wanted to see Matt and Amy reconcile because they liked them as a couple. (Even then, they shouldn’t be bombarding anyone with hate) The worst of them — the ones who seem so suspicious of Caryn and Chris — are dealing with prejudice. It seems that some of them just don’t believe that a tall person would fall in love with a little person. They need to work through their issues and get those horrible misconceptions out of their minds. People fall in love all of the time. Matt and Amy’s kids had to adjust to their parents’ new love lives, but they’re all adults. But this is nothing but a boon to their grandchildren, who essentially get two more grandparents out of the deal. It’s so sweet to see Caryn and Matt spending time with Jackson. We’re glad that they are all keeping warm during this cold weather. We know that the winter has been intense, but a lot of us will be missing these temps in a few months. Teen Mom OG Recap: Roll With the Punches

Teen Mom OG  serves as a great reminder that baby daddy drama can be forever. Both Bristol and Cheyenne grappled with very different types of baby daddy drama. And Amber, who gave the episode its title, was taking up boxing as therapy to ward off  yet another Instagram meltdown . Bristol was grappling with baby daddy Levi Johnson’s refusal to sign off on Tripp’s  Dancing With The Stars: Junior  contract. “Levi refused to sign this contract,” Bristol claimed. “Saying that he has zero interest in the money that Tripp makes.” Bristol accused: “He’s had this document for two months now.” “All these triggers with my baby daddies…they all come from money,” Bristol lamented. She then confessed: “I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong to have all these terrible relationships.” Sometimes, terrible people date terrible people. Water always finds its level. So why was Bristol’s first baby daddy balking? Levi himself, who was kind of entertaining for a while in 2008 but never deserved to be played by Justin Gaston on HBO’s  Game Change , explains. “Don’t play that on me…you sent me a piece of paper with no contract to look at, so I didn’t know what I’m signing,” Levi countered. Levi said: “That’s not how it works.” Bristol, however, thinks that Levi is missing the urgency of the situation. “Tripp’s not being paid until that contract is signed,” Bristol grumbled. In the end, Levi did sign it, and surprised her with cash for half of the plane ticked back to Alaska. Then there was Catelynn and Tyler, who were having some communication issues as they discussed going to couples counseling. “He’s bad at saying what he needs to say in the right way,” Catelynn noted. “He just comes across really sharp,” she explained.  “I’m a feeler, so I feel that intense like, holy s–t, someone’s pissed off,” she continued. Catelynn was quick to clarify: “It’s nothing huge or detrimental to our relationship.” Being hypersensitive to the moods of others, especially to tone of voice, is an extremely common symptom of PTSD. One of the issues that they were having was how Nova had refused to leave Catelynn’s side for so long. They were concerned about her separation anxiety when Catelynn left to do a show about adoption. Ultimately, their biggest worry as a couple was about continuing to process old wounds. Having given up their child for adoption when they were just 16 and then remaining together as a couple has really left some emotional scars. They did resolve that they can get through anything, including bringing up these sensitive topics in therapy. Amber Portwood spent some time letting off some steam with some boxing. She has taken up the sport as therapy for her bipolar depression and her anger issues. After  Amber’s latest tirade  in which she threatened violence and used slurs, it’s a relief to see that she has an outlet. “I got a four month old baby!” Amber shouted after  So this would have been filmed in, what, early-ish September? Amber had confessed to partner Andrew Glennon that she was not an athletic child. She then went on to hold her own while boxing. Afterward, she was very emotional as she spoke to Andrew. “Meeting you, and the people that you surround yourself with, uplifts me to know that I can do more in life,” she confessed through tears. That is very sweet. Though her recent social media tirade shows that she still has a lot of ground to cover. Cheyenne Floyd was having baby daddy drama, just like Bristol. Unlike Bristol, her drama also involved her current beau. These problems with boyfriend Zach came up when baby daddy Cory Wharton wanted her to bring their daughter Ryder to visit him. “I feel like Cory is more of a priority than me,” Zach accused. “I just feel like the way you treat him versus you treat me,” Zach said. “It’s not the same. There’s no comparison.” In Zach’s eyes: “It’s almost like you’re more so in a relationship with him.” “If I had a baby’s mother and she asked me to go out there and spend time, you would not be OK with that,” he suggested. If you’ve ever whispered  break up with him  at a television screen, you know how rare it is for people to listen. Cheyenne, however, did just that. She did not have time to poultice his bruised ego. She’s a mom. “Right now, that’s my focus,” Cheyenne explained. “Ensuring that I have a good coparenting relationship with Cory.” She explained that it’s important “that Ryder has a good relationship with her dad and his family.” “So,” she concluded. “If my relationships, if my friendships … if my personal relationships suffer because of it, I will take that right now.” Cheyenne and Zach are broken up, at least for now. Matt Roloff Hits Back at Mom-Shamers: Tori Would Never Endanger Jackson!

Fans always love when Matt Roloff shares family photos . Unfortunately, some recent pics had fans and parent-shamers alike worried that they were endangering baby Jackson. Now, Matt is setting the record straight. Matt Roloff posted a slew of photos, which we have included below, of his family’s vacation to Maui. Unfortunately, after a photo showed Jackson standing in a dry canoe without a lifejacket, some fans were overwhelmed with worry. They peppered Matt’s comments with questions about Jackson’s safety. “Hey everyone that sent me messages of concern…” Matt begins his message on Instagram. “Of course Jackson wore a life jacket while out on the water,” he writes. Matt then asks: “Do you think we’re crazy??” He posted this message along with a very reassuring image. Matt’s other photos were more overtly positive. He was thrilled to get the chance to have some one-on-one time (and two-on-one time) with his grandson. “When you get the call to spend the day with your grandson over in Maui while Zach and Tori explore the road to Hana,” Matt writes. “You don’t say no.” Matt continues, saying: “Anything to spend some time with this little fella and @carynchandler1.” His girlfriend, Caryn, was along for the trip. “Sunshine warms the heart and soul,” Matt claimed in another post. Matt also shared that he pushed himself to do difficult things just to be with his grandbaby. “Sometimes ya just have to force yourself to walk on the sand,” Matt writes. He followed that message with a smiling emoticon. That’s right, even in the age of emojis, some haven’t forgotten emoticons. “Keeping up with the little farmer is my new passion and motivation!” Matt exclaims. He and his family enjoyed their time on land and in the water. “Sailing the high seas off the coast of Maui,” Matt captions a photo of the lot of them on a canoe. Jackson looks so cute! We can understand that people are concerned about the safety of children. Sometimes, even the kindest parents are totally clueless about safety for children. But the Roloffs are kind and also experienced. Anyone familiar with the Roloff family should realize that they’re not going to make simple safety mistakes with Jackson or with Ember Jean. They love their grandbabies, folks. They’re not going to risk Jackson’s life. Some would consider the Roloff family’s trip to Maui a waste because they’re missing the autumn weather in Oregon. But Matt, at least, seems to enjoy warmer temperatures. He and Caryn enjoy spending time in Arizona so much that they bought a house there. And just everybody enjoys a trip to the beach, right? Matt was clearly having a good time, even though he had to put in a lot of extra effort to maneuver over the sand. But he did it, for Jackson’s sake, and the results were some wonderful experiences and memories. Jackson is old enough to be forming lifelong memories, folks, and a visit to Mauii is sure to make an indelible impression upon the little cutie. Matt Roloff: I’m Ready to Take Caryn Chandler Romance to the "Next Level!"

On this past Tuesday night’s episode of Little People, Big World, Matt Roloff made headlines for something he is NOT going to do. After giving it much consideration and speaking to his loved ones about the possibility, Roloff decided not to run for political office . But the veteran TLC personality also revealed something else about himself on this same installment, something that it sounds like he WILL be doing in the near future. And that something is this: Marrying Caryn Chandler! This is mere speculation on our part at the moment, although there have been rumors flying around for weeks that Roloff is engaged to Chandler , who formerly worked as his family’s farm manager. Lost in the aforementioned political talk from the latest episode of this reality series, however, is something the Roloff patriarch said about his girlfriend of over a year. “Caryn and I are looking to invest in property [in Arizona],” Matt said on air, confirming our report that he’ll be moving down south for at least part of the year . This is the first time Roloff has acknowledged that Chandler is a key aspect of that plan, however. And he wasn’t done talking about the couple’s clearly very serious future. “Amy and I have a lot of assets in the farm, so it’s really important that I start investing some of my personal money off the farm and really just having my own path that’s separate from Amy,” Matt continued, adding: “I feel very committed to Caryn. “Caryn and I are going on this adventure together, we are on this great track. So the idea of us having a vacation home that we share together, it’s interesting. “I think we are going to take our relationship to the next level.” There it is. The next level . This may mean an engagement. This may simply mean co-habitating with each other. But, either way, it’s the latest sign that Chandler will be in Matt’s life for a long, long time going forward. This has caused some tension between Matt and Amy, naturally, because they were married for 26 years and have four kids together. They also co-own the farm we cited above and Amy was pretty close to Chandler before she started to date her ex-husband. Amy, meanwhile, is involved with Chris Marek . This relationship is also pretty serious. However, unlike Matt with Caryn, Amy said on a recent episode that she will not really consider Marek when pondering her next step in life. “Chris is an important person in my life, but I have no set agenda – or time limit – on how we move forward,” she said. Amy went on to admit that she has also considered a move off the farm, regardless of whether she ends up with Marek for good or not: “I mean, look how much stuff I still have to figure out in my life. “So until I solidify certain other things that are going on in my life, I don’t want Chris to get involved.” Interesting contrast between Roloffs here, huh? We’ll continue to keep a close eye on both their romances and to keep readers up to date on where everything stands. View Slideshow: Little People, Big World: Why It May Be Ending … Soon!

Matt Roloff & Amy Roloff: Celebrate Jacob’s Birthday Together Despite Feud Rumors!

Just a little over a week ago, fans unfairly slammed Amy Roloff after they assumed that Matt Roloff was banned from his son Jacob’s early birthday party .  We talked about how undeserved the hate that Amy received was, and Matt Roloff himself decried the rumors when he saw them. But if you still need proof that Amy and Matt Roloff aren’t at each other’s throats, look at how they came together for their son, Jacob. Amy Roloff and Matt Roloff are divorced. Even though they live so close to each other and star on Little People, Big World and will always be linked by their children (and grandchildren!), they don’t have to be joined at the hip. Amy Roloff has her boyfriend, Chris Marek , and Matt Roloff has his girlfriend, Caryn Chandler. They’ve both moved on. That’s life. But that hasn’t stopped some fans from reading too much into their separate lives and then assuming that the two can’t stand to be in the same room with each other. Like they did just a little over a week ago, when Jacob Roloff celebrated his birthday with his mom. Jacob Roloff is now 21 years old. Several days before his birthday, the son who was once the family “black sheep” spent quality time with his mom (and not just to sell bread ). Matt’s siblings and their spouses and even his little niece and nephew (his niblings!) gathered together for an early celebration at Amy’s place. One of the results was a precious group photo — a rare sight, since the Roloff children are all adults now and not all of them even live in the same state. Matt Roloff was conspicuously absent, which ruffled some feathers by fans who seem to resent that Amy Roloff has her own life. A report claimed that Matt didn’t even receive an invitation … but he was elsewhere with his girlfriend, so it really shouldn’t have been controversial. Some reality stars try to avoid reading gossip about themselves. That can’t be good for your stress levels, right? Not so for the Little People, Big World patriarch. After seeing coverage that claimed an epic feud between the exes, Matt Roloff slammed the “fake news” about his family , writing: “Fake news is alive and well.. how sad. The roloff family just keeps hanging closer and closer together despite these broken misleading headlines …” Not to be nitpicky, fake news would be if some accused Audrey Roloff of selling human organs out of a nonexistant Burger King attic. Rumors would be people seeing separate exes and assuming that they’re feuding. (Still, Matt Roloff’s version is still better than Trump’s, since the orange man uses the phrase to refer to news that he doesn’t personally like) Matt’s post continues: “Matt, amy, Jer , zach Audrey, Tori, molly, Joel, Jacob, Izzy, Chris and caryn. All working together to surprise you all at how an American family can function together despite a few minor differences.” That’s sweet. And then he teases the new season of Little People, Big World : “Wait for it…… a few short months.” If you feel like you can’t wait “a few short months” and you also can’t take the Roloffs at their word (for whatever reason), would it help you to know that both Matt and Amy were at Jacob’s actual birthday party? Unlike on Thanksgiving and Christmas and numerous other holidays, and perhaps for the first time (that we’ve seen) since Molly’s wedding, Matt and Amy were together at the same place, at the same time. Because Jacob is their son, folks. Among the videos from Jacob’s 21st birthday party shared briefly on social media via Instagram stories were shots of Amy and Matt with Jackson and Ember, respectively. So, yes, they were at the same party. They can definitely stand to be in the same room together. Everybody needs to take a deep breath and stop making assumptions. It may have not been the wildest 21st birthday party on record, but it was a wholesome family gathering. Speaking of alleged Roloff feuds and that party in particular, Audrey and Jacob buried the hatchet — if there ever really was one. (It’s long been believed that, perhaps over religious differences, the two don’t see eye-to-eye. Maybe they don’t, but it’s clearly not too big of a deal) We think that what causes all of this unfounded fan speculation is that we’re all starved for more information about the Roloffs because Little People, Big World isn’t back yet. But, as Matt Roloff says, we just need to wait a few months. Whatever real conflicts that family has will probably be shared with us. Jackson Roloff Had the BEST Time at the Zoo!

Grandparents and grandchildren share a special bond. The Roloffs are certainly no exception. Matt Roloff took to social media to share that it’s getting harder for him to spend time away from his grandbabies, even for just a few days. And we can see why — because in the mean time, Zach Roloff took sweet baby Jackson on a surprise trip to the zoo. And these pictures are golden. This year, Matt Roloff got to welcome two grandchildren into the world. His first two. Early this summer, sweet Jackson Roloff was born . And then, only four months later, precious Ember Jean was born . As a grandparent, that’s a dream come true. (It’s also, we’re sure, exciting stuff for Zach and Tori and for Jeremy and Auj, what with becoming parents and all) Here’s the thing, though. Matt Roloff lives on Roloff Farms with most of the rest of his family, but he has a habit of heading down to Arizona. Most of us are sick to death of this warm weather and would like to squeeze in a few weeks of fall weather before winter arrives, but Matt Roloff likes to enjoy downtime and the warmer weather that Arizona has to offer. But he’s taken to social media to share how difficult that trip is becoming, for one — or two — adorable reasons. Matt Roloff shared this precious photo of his son, Zach, and his grandson, Jackson. Jackson, you can just barely tell, is still dressed like a pumpkin. What a delight. Matt’s caption for the photo, however, proved to be bittersweet: “Had to say good bye to these guys for a couple of days …” Awww, we know that it’s not easy. Especially when you can’t explain to a baby why they won’t see you for a few days. Matt continued: “Headed to Arizona in search of some warm sunny weather..” Again, we’ve absolutely had our fill of warmth and sunlight for 2017, but some people like it more than others. (And we should remember that Matt Roloff is a grandparent and some people, as they get older, become sensitive to cold, particularly in their joints) “Getting harder and harder to leave even just for a few days. Can’t stand to miss even a minute with these precious grand kids.” You know, that’s normal for grandparents who live exceptionally close to their grandchildren. Kids can change overnight. What if your grandbaby learns a new word and you’re not there? What if they learn to walk? And Zach Roloff took to Instagram to share what Jackson got up to. Zach and Tori took Jackson on an impromptu zoo trip. As Zach explains, he’s not usually a huge fan of the zoo: “Great day at the Zoo and World Forestry Discovery Center Museum. Never been too much of a fan of zoos because all the people and the small enclosures but today was class. Nobody was there and the animals were all out. Great day with the family as well.” The trick to visiting lots of places is to go there when it’s not crowded. It’s like going out to dinner on a Tuesday instead of on Friday night. Zach also hinted at a reason that he, especially, might not be comfortable in big crowds … and it’s not his height. Not directly. Zach ended his post with Samuel 16:7, a biblical passage about ignoring what a person looks like because what matters is what they look like on the inside. Interestingly, in context, the passage is referring to a super good-looking man whom the faithful are supposed to reject, but we can see how the words could be a great comfort to someone who feels judged for his appearance by total strangers. And speaking of being judged, Zach and these adorable baby photos got actual hate in the comments for going to a zoo. Zoo animals are either born in captivity or rescued, folks. Often rescued from actual horrible conditions. There are some bad zoos in the world, but most of them are essentially massive animal rescues with habitats and trained professionals. Don’t hate someone for supporting an educational facility that brings joy to children while helping countless wild and even endangered species. Just relax and look at the cute baby: View Slideshow: Jackson Roloff Baby Photos: OMG! He’s So Cute!
