Read the original:

Jill Scott fans can rejoice.  Not only are you getting two new songs from Jilly from Philly today, but you’re also getting two new albums this year! Jill will release her debut album for her new label, Warner Bros, The Light Of The Sun , in early summer.  Her former record label, Hidden Beach, is also planning on releasing a compilation of previously unreleased material called Just Before Dawn . Sounds like Hidden Beach is a bit salty that Jill jumped ship to us… Anyway… back to the two new songs… “Lovely Day” comes from the Hidden Beach release and is a cover of the classic Bill Withers tune.  “Shame” (featuring Eve ) comes from Jill’s real new album The Light Of The Sun .  Jill just recently shot a video for “Shame” in her hometown of Philadelphia. Lady Gaga Designs Bracelet For Japan Disaster Relief

Lady Gaga is reaching out to her Little Monsters to help support tsunami victims in Japan . Appropriately, she’s doing so with a fashionable twist. She designed a simple white and red bracelet, with the phrase “We Pray for Japan” in both English and Japanese. All proceeds go to relief efforts. The singer Tweeted: “I Designed a Japan Prayer Bracelet. Buy It/Donate here and ALL proceeds will go to Tsunami Relief Efforts. Go Monsters!” She’s off the wall with fashion, but on the ball when it comes to charity . Gaga’s bracelet costs a modest $5, but the Mother Monster encouraged her legions of followers – eight million on Twitter alone – to donate more if they can. Of course, there will be critics claiming “she’s only doing it for publicity” another such nonsense. But it’s always nice to see celebs using their fame for good. Follow the jump for a look at the item in question and if you wish to own one and support an important cause, the link above will make it happen … [Photos: Fame Pictures; Lady Gaga]

Alec Baldwin Offers Advice to Charlie Sheen: Beg!

The same man who cracks us up each week with dry-witted 30 Rock quotes has grown (somewhat) serious when it comes to Charlie Sheen’s career. In an editorial for The Huffington Post , based on his own experiences with executives in the movie and TV business, Baldwin addresses the troubled actor and says: “You can’t win. Really. You can’t.” Meaning what, exactly? Baldwin gives us a look inside the industry and continues: “No actor is greater than the show itself when the show is a hit. And, in that regard, [executives] are often right. Add to that the fact that the actor who is torturing their diseased egos is a drug-addled, porn star-squiring, near-Joycean Internet ranter, and they really want you to go.” Baldwin is correct that almost all hit shows remain popular and profitable after stars leave. Look at NYPD Blue , ER , CSI . In the end, here’s what Sheen should do, according to Baldwin: “Sober up, Charlie. And get back on TV, if it’s not too late. This is America. You want to really piss off Chuck and Warner Brothers and CBS? Beg for America’s forgiveness. They will give it to you. And then go back. You are a great television star… As I learned from closely observing Tony Bennett so I could impersonate him on SNL , this is supposed to be fun. P.S… buy Cryer a really nice car.” [Photos: Fame, WENN.com]

Henry Cavill Named New Superman

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s… Henry Cavill? The British actor, best known for his role of Charles Brandon in The Tudors , has landed the coveted role of Superman in that franchise’s next installment. Warner Brothers will release a reboot of the Man of Steel at some point in the next couple years. It will be directed by Zack Snyder and produced by Christopher Nolan. Says Snider of the choice: “In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time, and I am honored to be a part of his return to the big screen. I also join Warner Bros., Legendary and the producers in saying how excited we are about the casting of Henry. He is the perfect choice to don the cape and S shield.”

Know Your Men Behind the Curtain: Updating the 4 Wizard of Oz Projects

With The Karate Kid and The A-Team one-two at the box office , clearly originality has gone out the window. And so maybe remaking The Wizard of Oz isn’t such a bad idea after all. Besides, eventually everything gets the reboot treatment, right guys? ( Citizen Kane you’re on notice!) And yet, does anyone really need to see four different versions of The Wizard of Oz — and two from Warner Brothers alone? Well, too bad! They’re happening anyway. Since you can’t tell a player without a scorecard, after the jump Movieline helps you parse through the four Oz projects. Follow the yellowbrick road…

What are the Most Ridiculous Parts of the New Jonah Hex Poster?

While the trailer for Jonah Hex has yet to appear , Warner Brothers did its best today to remind audiences that this movie not only exists, but will get released as planned on June 18. And what better way to do that than with a great poster, right? Or, in this case, a completely ridiculous mess that looks borderline fake. After the jump, the full poster and its five oddest design choices. Imagine what treats the movie holds. The mind reels.

C*NT EASTWOOD Costco Display FAIL

Apparently when Warner Brothers designed the box for its 35 Years, 35 Films Clint Eastwood Movie Collection, they never checked how “CLINT” read when it's on sale at Costco; it kind of looks like what Grampa used to call Granma when he'd been drinking again. Personally I think $120 is a bit pricey for C*NT that's been in the game for 35 years, but apparently this is some high class, ageless C*NT.
