Anchorman 2 Set Photo: The Brawl is Back

A new set photo for  Anchorman 2 has dropped over at TMZ, and it shows us an exciting development: Anchorman 2 has another brawl scene! Complete with Brick’s trident! Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, David Koechner, Steve Carell, and Christina Applegate return as the Channel 4 News team in the comedy sequel. The film will take place in New York instead of San Diego, but little else is known about the plot. Anchorman 2 is set premiere December 20.

Richard Madden Cast as Prince in Cinderella

  Cinderella has found her Prince Charming! With Lily James cast in the main role of the live-action fairy-tale adaptation, today Richard Madden has joined as the prince .   Madden is best known for starring in  Game of Thrones,  as Robb Stark. In addition to James and Madden, Cate Blanchett has been cast in the role of the wicked step-mother. Kenneth Branagh will direct Cinderella , with production set to begin this fall.

Josh Brolin In Talks for Gangster Squad

You might as well put Gangster Squad at the top of your must-see list for 2012. According to Deadline, Warner Bros. has begun negotiating with Josh Brolin and the previously announced tandem of Sean Penn and Ryan Gosling to star. Ruben Fleischer will direct the L.A. Confidential -like film about cops and, well, gangsters in 1940s Los Angeles. [ Deadline ]

Zhang Ziyi’s Mulan Poster Looks Awfully Familiar

Zhang Ziyi’s new movie Mulan, the Legend of a Woman Warrior ( Jin Guo Ying Xiong ) may be based on a sixth-century Chinese folk story, but the poster would lead you to believe it originated in 1998 alongside a dragon played by Eddie Murphy. Since I want this movie to be great (and since Speed director Jan de Bont will direct an English-language version), let’s take a look at this poster and point out some strange likenesses.
