It from the National Geographic show “America’s National Parks: Yellowstone,” which we definitely need to now add to our DVR Season Pass. It features a one-week old bison who gets separated from his mother and who then ends up on the receiving end of a hungry wolf on the prowl at Yellowstone National Park. The wolf is likely licking its chops upon stumbling across this very young animal, prepared to quickly and easily take him down in just a matter of seconds. But the baby bison isn't having it! He may be on his own, he may have lost his family during a river crossing and he may be stranger on a small gravel island… but he’s got some fight in him! What happens when the wolf goes in for the kill? When he attempts to use his powerful jaws to tear open the poor bison’s little throat? A few moves that the wolf probably didn't see coming! Does the bison survive? Does his mother come to his rescue? Watch to find out, with the wolf-bison confrontation starting around the 2:25 mark of the video below:

Miley Cyrus is lovely…a lot of fun…probably the only fun in pop music…and she was in British Columbia Canada, because she is fighting the Wolf Cull, which is killing wild wolves, sad to all animal lovers, because they are out of control….all because a politician said that the uneducated, high school drop out, who shouldn’t be taken seriously because she’s a twerking puppet….is a twerking puppet and that should apply being a twerking puppet to the world…rather than take on real environmental issues like some kind of specialist…. Idiot social activist celebrities….who don’t know anything…but think they know everything…because of their egos…I am sure the people killing the wolves don’t want to kill the fucking wolves, it’s not like shameless murdering for the sake of murdering, you know to make fur coats…but rather to lower population of predator animals to better plan and control a fucking eco system that is killing Caribou….so let’s kill overpopulated wolves, to save dying off caribou… But I also don’t know anything about the issue, I just know Miley visited country…I am imprisoned in…and that all celebrities are idiots when being activists…while their whole existence is the opposite of activism…for any issues…Makes sense… This is what she had her assistant write: I may have left B.C. for now but my heart is still very much there…. Along with the grizzlies that when I first locked eyes with changed me forever & the wolves that sing such beautiful songs calling out for one another…. But the hearts of everyone in this photo (John & Mary Theberge, Carl Safina, Ian McAllister, April Bencze, Douglas Neasloss, and my brother Braison) the people of First Nations and caring humans of B.C. will be broken if these amazing creatures are no longer apart of the #GreatBearRainforest… On this adventure something was confirmed that us lovers of nature and all that it brings to this planet already know but unfortunately so many don’t understand… WE ARE THESE ANIMALS (if you ever see the bottom of a bears feet as he climbs to shore after catching breakfast you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about, I also learned on this trip I have quite the grizzly foot fetish!) …. What separates us from the animals and the land we want to protect is our vocal ability and freedom of speech. It is our responsibility to give the GBR & all the animals it provides a home for a voice! The Twilight series’ concept of imprinting ? Still a little weird. But interspecies love never looked so sweet as it does in this special effects reference photo of the real-life Jacob Black getting friendly with a human, the perfect shot of furry adorbs to counteract today’s gruesome Hobbit pony-killing revelations . Effects guru Phil Tippett Tweeted the pic of the affectionate reference wolf used to create Twilight ‘s CG wolf pack today during a VFX Q&A session. Technically I’m not sure which smoldering, shirtless Quileute werewolf this fella was played by onscreen, but if Taylor Lautner was a wolf I’m pretty sure he’d look like this. (I’ll also admit it’s unclear whether or not this is a Christian the Lion -style wolfy kiss or the prelude to a grisly VFX research visit gone very wrong.) Tippett Studios worked on the last four Twilight films, specializing in the wolf CG effects; for Breaking Dawn Part II they also created the scene in which Bella wrestles and devours a cougar. Watching the trailer for Brian De Palma’s upcoming film Passion , I get the feeling that he could be a fan of SCTV ‘s classic Whispers of the Wolf Ingmar Bergman parody. Yes, I know that De Palma’s erotic thriller is based on the late Alain Corneau’s final film Love Crime (2010 ), about two international business women locked in a power struggle — but there’s something about Noomi Rapace’s vacant stare in the first scenes of the trailer that reminds me of the great Andrea Martin’s performance in the SCTV comedy gem. (You can see both videos after the jump.) And Rapace’s co-star Rachel McAdams strikes me as a more vulpine version of the also-great Catherine O’Hara. I couldn’t help but notice that both clips feature masks, by the way, although based on the contents of the sex drawer that gets opened in the Passion trailer, De Palma’s movie is going to be way kinkier than anything that ever ran on Count Floyd’s Monster Chiller Horror Theater.
