A new art project on the West Coast will visually capture the essence of Black history and culture in Los Angeles. Local political officials recently announced that 1.3 miles of Crenshaw Boulevard will be transformed into an artistic space that highlights how African Americans are embedded in the fabric of L.A., the LAist reported. ICYMI, take a look at Destination Crenshaw, an open-air ‘museum’ set to run along the Crenshaw Line https://t.co/R51Y6wqYuP pic.twitter.com/6RTdXDintM — Curbed LA (@CurbedLA) December 21, 2018 Dubbed “Destination Crenshaw” the tribute will be along the Metro’s Crenshaw/LAX line, the news outlet writes. It will feature larger-than-life murals, monuments, outdoor spaces and other elements that will bring stories about the Black experience in Los Angeles to life. Local political leaders believed that it was important to bring the achievements of the Black community in L.A. to the forefront. The city has evolved into a melting pot and they don’t want the contributions of African Americans to be forgotten. “The hope is that [people] understand that L.A., among other things, is quintessentially a Black city,” Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson told the news outlet. “In the same way that it’s a Latino city, in the same way it’s a Jewish city, in the same way that it’s a Japanese city. The stories of black people in this town are central to what this town is, and what it continues to develop into.” Harris-Dawson wanted to find a way to preserve the street art that already exists in Crenshaw, but add more elements to it so that it can serve as a learning tool for visitors and future generations. He also hopes that the buzz surrounding Destination Crenshaw will create an increase in more locally-owned innovative businesses in the area. The renderings for the project—which has been backed by Los Angeles natives Nipsey Hussle and Issa Rae —were revealed this month. The Destination Crenshaw team has already enlisted the help of local artists to contribute their work. The project will break ground in 2019 and is slated to be completed in 2020. Image via Andy Katz/Pacific Press/LightRocket/Jack Taylor/Getty Supreme Court Rules In Favor Of Most Of Trump’s Travel Ban Policy Temporarily We’re sure it’s just a matter of time before Donald hops his happy orange azz on Twitter to pat himself on the back for his “accomplishment”. According to the WashingtonPost , the Supreme Court has ruled to allow significant portions of Donald’s Muslim-targeting travel ban to take effect. In the fall, the court will decide more broadly on the President’s power to restrict immigration based on religion. The court did add a caveat, however: The court made an important exception: it said the ban “may not be enforced against foreign nationals who have a credible claim of a bona fide relationship with a person or entity in the United States.” In the unsigned opinion, the court said that a foreign national who wants to visit or live with a family member would have such a relationship, and so would students from the designated countries — Libya, Iran, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen — who were admitted to an American university. Not that this is anything to cheer about, but at least students can feel some relief that they will be allowed to move freely without impunity. What this ultimately means is that in 72 hours, there will be a 120-day restriction on all refugees who are attempting to enter the U.S. as well as a strict ban on travel from the 6 aforementioned countries into the states. The ruling also gives “executive officials” power to decide if a foreign nationals relationship to an American entity is sufficient enough to make an exception. Sounds like we can expect more protests and demonstrations in cities and airports around the country. If you’ve made travel plans to go anywhere, foreign or domestic, you might want to read some liter-, reconsider…

Robin Wright Penn probably doesn’t like being referred to by the husband she was once married to, who she made big breasted daughter Dylan with, that was her past and like all divorcees, she’s ready for new beginnings, turning over a new leaf, being her new self…and I guess that divorced happened a while ago now…but I don’t get over things, and like to label women by the cum they’ve had inside them, and I know she’s for sure had other cum in her, maybe even more famous cum than Sean Penn’s, but he’s fucked everyone, probably the dirtiest…from Madonna to whoever the fuck else he’s fucked…he’s been in the scene a long time…so I’ll ignore her achievements and reduce her to that…because that’s why women take the man’s last name in the first place…property of….style..don’t blame me, blame tradition that I choose to follow…as a conventional human that I am. I don’t know why I am posting old lady mom tit…I guess it’s a fetish.. TO SEE THE REST OF THE PICS CLICK HERE The post Robin Wright Penn Hard Nipples of the Day appeared first on DrunkenStepfather .
The Republican National Convention kicked off from Cleveland on Monday night. And it didn't take long for this Donald Trump lovefest to generate its first scandal. From Willie Robertson or Scott Baio ? Not really, even though the #NeverTrump crowd likely was not a fan of anything these “celebrities” had to say. Rather, the first scandal of the week came courtesy of The Donald's wife, Melania Trump. “From a young age my parents impressed on me the values that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say and keep your promise; that you treat people with respect,” Melania said on stage. “They taught and showed me values and morals in their daily life.” Sounds great and inspiring, right? The sort of thing a First Lady-to-be would say in such a circumstance? Melania went on to add: “That is a lesson that I continue to pass along to our son, and we need to pass those lessons on to the many generations to follow. “Because we want our children in this nation to know that the only limit to your achievements is the strength of your dreams and your willingness to work for them.” Again, good stuff. But plagiarized stuff? Critics were quick to note similarities between Trump's speech here and Michelle Obama's 2008 speech at the Democratic National Convention. Barack and I were raised with so many of the same values: that you work hard for what you want in life; that your word is your bond and you do what you say you're going to do; that you treat people with dignity and respect, even if you don't know them, and even if you don't agree with them , Obama said eight years ago. She continued at the time: And Barack and I set out to build lives guided by these values, and pass them on to the next generation. Because we want our children – and all children in this nation – to know that the only limit to the height of your achievements is the reach of your dreams and your willingness to work for them. Speaking to Matt Lauer on MSNBC prior to the event , Melania said of her upcoming speech: “I read once over it and that's all. Because I wrote it with as little help as possible. I'm excited.” This is what Donald Trump said about his wife's speech on Monday night and what he said in 2008 about that of Michelle Obama: Was Melania subconsciously influenced by Obama? Did she outright gank her material? Listen and watch the speech below and decide for yourself.
