https://instagram.com/p/BR3YUJhjEwv/?taken-by=united United Airlines Bans Teenage Girls From Flight For Wearing Leggings In many cases dress code policies are sexist, subversive and downright stupid. Such is the case with United Airlines’ protocol and is the reason social media is lighting them on fire with hot takes. According to CBSNews , two teenage girls were barred from boarding their flight when a goodie-two-shoes gate agent chided them over their spandex leggings. This airline employee sounds like one of those fast food employees who ACTUALLY charges you ¢.39 for extra BBQ sauce, she told the girls: “I don’t make the rules, I just enforce them.” A United spokesperson, Johnathan Guerin, defended his company’s bulls#!t with this statement: “It’s not that we want our standby travelers to come in wearing a suit and tie or that sort of thing,” he said. “We want people to be comfortable when they travel as long as it’s neat and in good taste for that environment.” The girls were flying on a buddy pass and technically they were supposed to wear some kind of business-casual attire. But anyone who has ever flown on an employee pass knows good-and-damn well that airlines almost NEVER enforce this policy. Besides, who the hell would know who’s using a pass or not?! Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action organization just happened to witness the incident and started the fire on Twitter. https://twitter.com/shannonrwatts/status/845992819894321153 https://twitter.com/shannonrwatts/status/845993122186211332 https://twitter.com/united/status/845999380024836097 Eventually celebs like Chrissy Teigen and William Shatner were all chiming in on the ridiculousness. Woman Tries To Open Emergency Door Mid-Flight An inebriated woman allegedly freaked out on a flight from London to Boston and decided she needed to open the door and leave — while the plane was still 30,000 in the sky. Via NBCnews : A woman aboard a British Airways plane from London to Boston has been arrested after trying to open the plane’s emergency exit door during the flight, officials said. The passenger on British Airways Flight 213, a Boeing 777, was restrained for the rest of the flight, and then arrested upon arrival at Boston’s Logan Airport, the airline said. “Our customers and crew deserve to have a safe and enjoyable flight and we do not tolerate abusive behavior,” British Airways said in a statement, referring to the passenger as “an unruly customer on board.” Massachusetts State Police said it was investigating the incident, along with customs agents, the Joint Terrorism Task Force, and the Transportation Security Administration. Officials told NBC News there was no indication of terrorism. She couldn’t have picked a worse time to have whatever episode that was she was going through. People don’t have time to play these kinds of games with terror attacks taking place all over the world…
Man Tries to Choke-Out Woman On Southwest Airline Flight For Reclining Her Seat Too Far??? Get a first class ticket, bruh. Via MSNBC A Southwest Airlines flight turned around and made an emergency landing in Los Angeles late Sunday after a woman aboard the plane allegedly claimed a man tried to choke her because of a reclined seat back, according to the airline and witnesses. Southwest would not confirm that a choking incident was involved but said “flight #2010 from LAX to San Francisco International airport returned to Los Angeles to allow police access to the cabin because of a rapidly escalating situation involving passengers who were not traveling together.” Witnesses said the woman claimed the man sitting behind her tried to choke her because she reclined her seat. “Evidently we’ve got two passengers who are in a physical altercation so we need to get turned around and get back to LAX,” the pilot of the plane told Air Traffic Control before landing safely in Los Angeles. FBI spokeswoman, Laura Eimiller, said that a passenger was detained for questioning after the plane returned to Los Angeles, but no arrests were made. The remaining 136 passengers switched planes and would arrive in San Francisco about five hours late, according to Southwest.
Carrier Pigeon Caught Trying To Smuggle Drugs Into Prison Prison guards in Costa Rica caught a pigeon with a bag of drugs attached to its chest in a bizarre attempt to smuggle drugs to inmates. Via Boston News Times : Officers at La Reforma prison captured it with 14g of cocaine and 14g of cannabis stuffed into a black pouch which camouflaged against its dark feathers. They have previously caught other animals such as cats and iguanas trying to transport drugs into the prison in San Rafael de Alajuela, local websites have reported. The guards spotted the bird on Tuesday afternoon as it flew towards an open area of the medium security La Reforma prison, Teletica reported. Prison director Paul Bertozzi said: ‘They observed the bulge on the animal so they captured it and confirmed that it carried a bag with zipper – and the drugs were inside… It seems the dove was trained for it.’ The pigeon was examined by experts at the ZooAve Animal Rescue Centre who said the bag it was carrying caused some damage to its digestive system. Reports from Costa Rica suggest it will be kept in quarantine for at least 40 days because they believe it will return to where it came from if they release it. The head of the centre was ‘stunned’ by the incident and said it would be well looked after at the centre. The prison is now investigating who was responsible for the drug-smuggling attempt. Paul Bertozzi added: ‘We have a warning that this method can be used again as it is not the first time in the history of La Reforma that a pigeon was detected with drugs.’ Move that dope by any means necessary! Uzbekistan Airlines Will Begin Weighing Passengers For Flight Safety How would you feel if you were asked to be weighed before boarding your next flight?? Via TIME Magazine : Uzbekistan Airlines announced a new policy that involves weighing passengers shortly before take off. A statement by the airline announced a decision to install a “special weighing machine” at departure gates, where passengers would be weighed along with their luggage. “According to the rules of International Air Transport Association, airlines are obliged to carry out the regular procedures of preflight control passengers weighing with hand baggage to observe requirements for ensuring flight safety,” read a statement posted to the airline’s webpage. A spokesperson for the International Air Transport Association denied any knowledge of a regulation that would require passengers to stand on a scale, adding in a statement to CNN that airlines normally calculate passenger loads as a mathematical average, rather than a precise, personal measurement. It’s bad enough that airlines are putting on extra fees for just breathing on a plane but now this?!? Continue reading →

Rough couple of months for ‘Zino… Benzino Ordered To Exit Flight, Curses At Flight Crew After getting blessed with a bullet at his mother’s funeral, and catching residual fade in the now-infamous Mayweather/Harris match , the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star was ejected from his flight earlier today for unclear reasons and went on a profane rant against everyone in his line of sight — and it was all caught on video. The passenger who shot the footage is clearly amazed by Zino’s profanity-laden tirade, while Benzino’s boo-thang Althea seems pretty unfazed by the incident as she calmly gathers her things and exits the plane. Peep the video: Via TMZ : The mayhem didn’t end in Vegas — days after Floyd Mayweather locked horns with T.I., Floyd’s friend Benzino got kicked off an airplane in Chicago … and in the process, the “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star unleashed the loudest torrent of f-bombs we’ve ever heard. It’s all on video — Benzino (the same guy who was partying with Floyd at the strip club early Sunday morning) goes OFF … calling a flight attendant “a racist motherf*****” and a “racist bastard.” Eyewitnesses tell TMZ, Benzino was asked to leave the plane during a stopover in Chicago on his flight from Vegas to ATL. The details surrounding the blowup are hazy — we’re told the flight attendant questioned Benzino about his seat and next thing everyone knew … Benzino was screaming. We’re told Benzino left the plane without further incident and police were not called to the scene. Calls to Benzino and the airline were not returned. Damn…he mad or nah? What do you think really happened to get him kicked off the plane in the first place?
