Bronx Woman Facing Manslaughter Charge After Illegal Butt Injections Lead To Patient’s Death

Source: Splash News Although the procedure can be extremely dangerous, butt injections have never been more popular than they are now. One woman, Whalesca Castillo , had been capitalizing on the trend by running an illegal plastic surgery operation in the Bronx. Sadly, her shady career allegedly ended up killing someone and Castillo now faces a manslaughter charge. The New York Times details her history of arrests in connection to illegal butt enhancements : “She had been arrested twice before, charged with providing illegal silicone injections in the Bronx to women who wanted to enhance their figures. One client had texted Whalesca Castillo after a procedure, complaining of leaking blood and liquid from her buttocks and legs, court documents said. Ms. Castillo replied by suggesting her favorite method for stanching a wound: ‘Buy some crazy glue and put it on.’ Ms. Castillo pleaded guilty in September 2011 to charges related to operating a fly-by-night plastic surgery clinic without a medical license, and served a year in federal prison. Released on probation, she was caught doing silicone enhancement procedures again in March 2014 and was sent back to prison for nine months.” This week, Ms. Castillo was arrested again in connection to the death of a woman by the name of Lesbia Ayala . Source: Splash News The site continues, “Ms. Ayala, 48, died on June 17 of an embolism after the police say Ms. Castillo pumped silicone into her buttocks and thighs. Ms. Ayala had traveled from her home in Philadelphia to Ms. Castillo’s apartment on Seward Avenue for the illegal procedure.” Castillo’s lawyer Robert Osuna stated he could not comment, as he had not yet read the criminal complaint. “We’ll have to see what the charges allege,” he said, according to The New York Times. As for how she ran her underground operation, Castillo reportedly received “hundreds of bottles of silicone gel shipped in the mail from the Dominican Republic, marked in Spanish as ‘silicone for hair’ or ‘for body massage,’” the site states. She was charged with manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, and the unauthorized practice of a profession. But among the most shocking revelations, is the bounds of his relationship with late singer Aaliyah, who Kelly married in 1994. She was 15 at the time. Jovante Cunningham, a former back-up dancer, who says she was and still is “protective” over Aaliyah, allegedly witnessed R. Kelly having sex with Aaliyah on a tour bus. “We were all laying in our bunks and the curtains are open, everybody’s communicating, laughing,” Cunningham explained. “When the [room] door flew open on the bus. Robert was having sex with Aaliyah.” Jovante wouldn’t go into detail about what exactly she saw, but added, “Things that an adult should not be doing with a child.” She adds, “I can’t stress to you how people are still suffering behind things that went on 20 years ago.” Aaliyah’s mother Diane Haughton dismissed Jovante’s claims in a statement released on Twitter. Teresa Giudice Prison Job Revealed: What Sort of Dirty Work is the Housewife Doing Now?

As you’ve probably heard by now, Teresa Giudice is in prison , serving out a 15 month sentence for fraud. Like all residents of Danbury Correctional Institution, Teresa is required to earn her keep by pitting in work.  Prisoners can put in requests, but ultimately have little say in what sort of work they’re assigned. Sources inside the prison report that  Teresa was hoping for a kitchen job , but since she’s new, and cafeteria gigs are among the most coveted in the joint, that was a long shot. Instead, the disgraced reality star has reportedly been assigned to one of the hottest, dirtiest, most unpleasant work details at Danbury – the laundry. Like most inmates,  Teresa will start at 12 cents an hour  to start, so pay was never a consideration. The laundry room was reportedly the last place Teresa wanted to end up, simply because she’s (understandably) disgusted by the thought of handling her fellow inmates’ soiled garments. “It was definitely not her first choice,” says one insider. “Teresa was unhappy when she found out the assignment because she thinks it’s disgusting work to have to do.” “She really was hoping they would let her work in the kitchen. She wants to be able to cook for everyone.” Shockingly, prison officials seemed to not give a crap what Teresa wanted because it’s freaking prison, not college career day. Go figure. Now that they have done the deed, was it worth it? You had better believe it was. And then some. Nick Stahl: Arrested for "Lewd Act" in Adult Video Store

Earlier this year, Nick Stahl went missing . Last night, meanwhile, the actor was found… touching himself inside an adult video store. Authorities tell TMZ that undercover LAPD officers were conducting a basic check of an establishment in Hollywood when they stumbled upon Stahl in a private booth, committing a “lewd act,” according to the official report. Pee Wee Herman and Fred Willard can explain to you what that means. The Terminator 3 was “touching himself” and booked on the misdemeanor charge of lewd conduct; he was released after a few hours at the police station and told a TMZ cameraman that the situation was just a “misunderstanding.” Stahl freaked his wife out in May of this year when he disappeared, only to later resurface and enter rehab.

Can you guess the most-rented DVD of 2011? Hint: It wasn’t the most-bought DVD of 2011, but you probably already knew that . Another hint: Despite all odds, it doesn’t star Danny Trejo . Give up? Don’t we all! Per the LAT : The Bruce Willis action-comedy Red was the most rented DVD of 2011 but wasn’t even close to the top of the sales charts. The most rented movies are a mix of films that largely enjoyed solid but not spectacular runs at the box office. They seemed to leave theaters with good word-of-mouth, leading people to sample the films via rental. Among the most bought DVDs, meanwhile, are many of the top-grossing hits of last year. Animated films sold particularly well. Since children often watch their favorite animated movies multiple times, making a purchase was more economical than rental. No. 1 on the list was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 , while other big sellers included Deathly Hallows: Part 2 , Tangled , Transformers: Dark of the Moon and The Help . The only film to make both Top 10 lists: breakout comedy Bridesmaids . So if there’s any doubt that the bulk of midgrade theatrical releases are just commercials for DVDs that studios don’t really want you to rent anyway, and/or that better blockbusters have the potential to influence stronger DVD sales, let it be put to rest.
