Future Of Fashion or Old Fashioned? Saudi Arabia Fashion Show Uses Robots Instead Of Female Models

Source: – / Getty It’s still shocking that women are just now getting the right to drive in Saudi Arabia. As of June 2018, the first driver’s licenses to women were issued — however, the ladies still have to seek a man’s permission to obtain one.  If you thought that little piece of chauvinism was extreme, you probably didn’t know that they aren’t usually allowed to use female models in the their fashions shows in Saudi Arabia or Qatar. So they opt for robots instead: I’m dying at this fashion show in Saudi they weren’t allowed female models pic.twitter.com/5xxpMBk4Nr — jina (@jinakhoushnaw) June 6, 2018 We knew that Artificial Intelligence was trying to take over our customer service jobs, IT gigs and even our boyfriends and girlfriends:   But who knew that they’d also be taking over the modeling industry? You Can’t Be Serious: Judge Rules That Man Who Provided Sperm To Lesbian Couple Owes Child Support

WTF??? Man Ordered To Pay Child Support To Lesbian Couple Via Kansas City reports: A man who provided sperm to a lesbian couple in response to an online ad is the father of a child born to one of the women and must pay child support, a Kansas judge ruled Wednesday. Topeka resident William Marotta had argued that he had waived his parental rights and didn’t intend to be a father. Shawnee County District Judge Mary Mattivi rejected that claim, saying the parties didn’t involve a licensed physician in the artificial insemination process and thus Marotta didn’t qualify as a sperm donor, The Topeka Capital-Journal reported. “In this case, quite simply, the parties failed to perform to statutory requirement of the Kansas Parentage Act in not enlisting a licensed physician at some point in the artificial insemination process, and the parties’ self-designation of (Marotta) as a sperm donor is insufficient to relieve (Marotta) of parental right and responsibilities to the child,” Mattivi wrote. The Kansas Department for Children and Families filed the case in October 2012, seeking to have Marotta declared the father of a child born to Jennifer Schreiner in 2009. The state’s objective was to hold Marotta responsible for about $6,000 in public assistance the state provided, as well as future child support. Marotta opposed that action, saying he had contacted Schreiner and her partner at the time, Angela Bauer, in response to an ad they placed on Craigslist seeking a sperm donor. He said he signed a contract waiving his parental rights and responsibilities. Attorneys for the state contended the contract was moot because the parties didn’t follow a 1994 Kansas law requiring a licensed physician to perform the artificial insemination when donors were involved. During oral arguments at a hearing in October, Timothy Keck, co-lead counsel for the state, said the case focused on child support. Marotta’s attorney, Benoit Swinnen, cited several court rulings that he said support the argument that Marotta is legally a sperm donor and not required to pay child support. Swinnen also argued that the Kansas statute doesn’t specifically require the artificial insemination to be carried out by a physician. Do you think the man should have to pay child support to the lesbian couple??

Real-Life Popeye Arms: Moustafa Ismail Insists Guns Are All-Natural

Massachusetts bodybuilder Moustafa Ismail, nicknamed the real-life Popeye, has the world’s biggest arms – and he insists those things are all-natural. As natural as anything bolstered by seven pounds of protein, nine pounds of carbohydrates and three gallons of water each day can be, at least. Skeptics say there must also be steroids or some other artificial means behind Ismail’s beyond-bulging biceps and triceps, which measure 31 inches around. The Guinness World Records is waffling on whether to recognize him. Moustafa Ismail swears he’s legit , though, and that his arms are the result of a punishing workout regimen he started because of a guest at his uncle’s wedding. At the event, in his native Egypt, his overweight frame was mocked. “They call me Popeye, the Egyptian Popeye,” Ismail, 24, said, but unlike the cartoon character’s love for veggies, “I like chicken, beef, anything but spinach.” It’s not easy having the world’s biggest arms. He also takes mineral and vitamin supplements and drinks plenty of water to flush out his system. The controversy that ensued when Guinness decided to recognize his world’s biggest arms – and critics alleged steroid use – has dogged him since, he admits. Clothes shopping is also a chore. The rest of Ismail is average, so it’s touch finding shirts that fit without making him look like a little kid playing dress-up. Or The Situation .

Do You Believe Him?? ‘Egyptian Popeye’ Says “I Don’t Care What Y’all Say, My Super Diesel 31-Inch Overgrown Yokes Are 100% Authentic!”

Got roids??? Via ABC News: Massachusetts bodybuilder Moustafa Ismail eats seven pounds of protein, nine pounds of carbohydrates and three gallons of water each day to help maintain upper arms that measure 31 inches around — as big as a small man’s waist. Skeptics say there must also be steroids or some other artificial means behind Ismail’s beyond-bulging biceps and triceps, and Guinness World Records is waffling on whether to recognize him. But he insists they are all-natural, the result of a punishing workout regimen he started after a guest at his uncle’s wedding in his native Egypt mocked his overweight frame. “They call me Popeye, the Egyptian Popeye,” Ismail, 24, said while working out in the Boston suburb of Milford. But unlike the cartoon character, “I like chicken, beef, anything but spinach.” It’s not easy having the world’s biggest arms. Generous amounts of poultry, seafood and shakes provide the protein he needs to fuel daily two-hour workouts in which he lifts as much as 600 pounds. He also takes mineral and vitamin supplements and drinks plenty of water to flush out his system. Then there’s clothes shopping. The rest of Ismail’s body is average, so it’s a challenge finding shirts that fit his arms without making him look like a little kid playing dress-up. Not to mention the controversy that ensued when Guinness decided to recognize him as having the largest upper arm muscles on earth and critics accused him of using steroids or other artificial methods. What do y’all think??? Watch the video below to see for yourself… AP

The World’s Most Valuable Movie Poster For Sale

German artist Heinz Schulz-Neudamm created the poster for the 1927 German Expressionist science-fiction film Metropolis by Fritz Lang. A collector bought the futuristic poster for a record $690,000 back in 2005, which is still a record. The poster has been assigned a $250,000 value in a bankruptcy filing by its current owner Kenneth Schacter, according to The Guardian, but it went up for sale with an $850,000 list price in March and some say it could be the first poster to sell for $1 million. Schulz-Neudamm’s painting of the artificial woman, or the Robot, is used by a mad scientist to seduce an race of workers in a totalitarian futuristic urban city. Made in Germany during the Weimar Period, Metropolis is set in the year 2026 in a dystopian society in which a wealthy elite rules from vast tower complexes, oppressing the workers who live in the depths below. The silent film was written by Lang and his wife Thea Von Harbou, and starred Brigitte Helm, Gustav Fröhlich, Alfred Abel and Rudolf Klein-Rogge. In 2008, a print of Lang’s original cut of the film was found in Argentina. The poster is the film’s most familiar promotional image, though at the time others were used as well for its promotion. If there’s anyone who knows about breaking barriers in the visual effects industry, it’s Dennis Muren, Phil Tippett and John Rosengrant, whose computer-generated dinosaur effects on Jurassic Park forever changed the FX landscape, earned them Academy Awards and famously caused George Lucas to tear up with joy. But their work pioneering new technologies did not begin or end with Steven Spielberg’s 1993 classic. The artists have worked on some of Hollywood’s most technologically innovative titles including Star Wars , E.T. : The Extra-Terrestrial , Predator , Terminator 2: Judgment Day , A.I. Artificial Intelligence and Avatar .
