Source: Nia Noelle / Nia Noelle Montgomery County Police Video Shows Aggressive Arrest Montgomery County, Maryland residents are reportedly “horrified” after disturbing footage went viral of one of their police officers kneeing a man’s head into the ground while handcuffing him. Officer Kevin Morris arrested, 19-year-old Arnaldo Pesoa of Silver Spring on Wednesday on charges of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, attempted distribution of a controlled dangerous substance, resisting arrest and second-degree assault. At the time of the arrest, MPD was conducting an undercover operation regarding Pesoa selling psilocybin mushrooms in the area. In the cell phone footage of the incident, you can hear Pesoa yelling at an officer, “I just spit on your f****** shoe,” just before the officer pulled the man’s shirt over his face. Capt. Tom Jordan with the Montgomery County Department of Police told CBS Local reporters : “It does show some use of force by an officer. We are looking into all aspects of this incident and will continue to investigate.” Pesoa posted a $5,000 bond and was released, while the assaulting officer has been assigned to administrative duties and his police powers have been suspended as the department reviews the incident. For some reason, R. Kelly decided it would be a good idea to do a TV interview amid his severe sexual abuse charges. On Tuesday, the singer — who has been accused of partaking in sexual acts with three children older than 13 but younger than 17 — spoke out in his first post-jail interview since turning himself in to Chicago police last month. He opened up to CBS This Morning with Gayle King saying: “They’re going back to the past and they trying to add all of this stuff now to that, to make all of the stuff that’s going on now [feel] real to people. be stupid of him to hold girls against their will. Use your common sense. Forget the blogs, forget how you feel about me. Hate me if you want to; love me if you want. But just use your common sense. Kelly added: “How stupid would it be for me with my crazy past and what I’ve been through? I didn’t do this stuff. This is not me. I’m fighting for my f****** life.” The 52-year old was charged in on Feb. 22 with 10 counts of felony aggravated sexual abuse. If convicted, he faces three to seven years in prison for each count. Jussie Smollett is officially in major trouble with the law. About three weeks after the Empire star told police that he was savagely beaten by a pair of Donald Trump-loving racist, Smollett has been made a suspect by this same police force. Over the past several days days, there has been chatter that cops in Chicago believed Smollett orchestrated his own attack and then continually lied to the public and to authorities about what happened. Now, spokesman Anthony Guglielmi has Tweeted the following: Jussie Smollett is now officially classified as a suspect in a criminal investigation by #ChicagoPolice for filing a false police report. Detectives are currently presenting evidence before a Cook County Grand Jury. If Smollett is charged with the felony cited here, he could face up to three years in prison. UPDATE : Guglielmi has now Tweeted the following… Felony criminal charges have been approved by @CookCountySAO against Jussie Smollett for Disorderly Conduct / Filing a False Police Report. Detectives will make contact with his legal team to negotiate a reasonable surrender for his arrest. A Cook County Grand Jury handed down the indictment late Wednesday, after grand jurors heard testimonies and evaluated evidence. The details of this case have grown more troubling and bizarre each day. After initially receiving support and sympathy from friends, politicians and celebrities around the world due to his claim that he was a victim of a hate crime, Smollett is now the subject of extreme scorn. He was questioned on Wednesday by prosecutors from the Cook County District Attorney’s Office regarding various details of his assault explanation that simply do not add up. Perhaps more disturbing is this: Two brothers from Nigeria were briefly arrested by the police after surveillance footage depicted them in the area of the alleged beating around the time Smollett said it took place. However, these siblings formerly worked as extra on Empire. They’re pictured below: After speaking to these siblings, however, the cops released them without charging them with any crimes — and they released this statement in the process: “We can confirm that the information received from the individuals questioned by police earlier in the Empire case has in fact shifted the trajectory of the investigation.” It has since been reported that the brothers are cooperating with the police and pointing a finger at Smollett, alleging that he paid them to fake the assault and that they even rehearsed how it would go . TMZ writes that Smollett cut the brothers a check for $3,500, but he wrote “training” in the memo line. There’s also now video evidence of them purchasing supplies for the incident, presumably at the behest of Smollet. Smollett, who is openly gay, said late last month that two assailants taunted him with homophobic slurs around 2 a.m. and screamed that he was in “MAGA country.” He said they punched him, tied a rope around his neck and poured bleach all over him. He has now been further victimized by claims attributed to these alleged perpetrators that Jussie played a role in his own attack. Nothing is further from the truth and anyone claiming otherwise is lying. Various sources have claimed that producers are in the process of writing Smollett out of Empire, but executives deny this is the case. Apparently, facing 10 years in prison doesn’t scare Bill Cosby at all, because the 81-year old revealed that he doesn’t feel sorry at all about being imprisoned for sexual assault. In an an interview with NBC 10, Cosby’s press spokesman, Andrew Wyatt , revealed that the comedian said: “My political beliefs, my actions of trying to humanize all races, genders and religions landed me in this place surrounded by barb wire fencing, a room made of steel and iron.” Wyatt added: “When I visit him it’s nothing sad about it. He’s not sad, he’s not remorseful because he did nothing wrong.” Cosby claims he’s innocent and he was railroaded by a system that targets Black men. On Tuesday, January 29, the internet was horrified by news of the vicious hate crime committed against Empire actor Jussie Smollett . He was beaten, called racist and homophobic slurs, doused with bleach, and a noose was wrapped around his neck. During the assault, the monsters said to him: “This is MAGA country.” Unspeakable. Jussie was hospitalized for multiple injuries, including a cracked rib from the beating. It turns out that just over a week ago, his life was threatened in a hateful letter that may be linked to the crime itself. Police are investigating it as a “possible” hate crime (that's legal jargon for definitely a hate crime ). In the mean time, celebrities are in the same place as the rest of us: shocked, angry, and wondering what they can do. They have taken to social media to voice their support for him and openly wonder at the evil in some people's hearts. 1. Jussie Smollett is Lucky to be Alive Jussie was attacked at 2am outside of a Chicago Subway on Tuesday, January 29. He was beaten by two men, who yelled both racist and homophobic slurs at him and identified him from his role on Empire. He was doused with an “unknown chemical substance,” believed to be bleach, and a noose was wrapped around his neck. He was hospitalized but released later that day. One of his injuries was a cracked rib. 2. Police are on the case TMZ reports that they’ve already acquired some CCTV footage within 12 hours of the assault, and are looking to obtain more, as well as speak to potential eyewitnesses. Over the course of seven months, Colt Johnson’s marriage to Larissa Dos Santos Lima was very ugly and complicated. But the polarizing 90 Day Fiance star now wants to keep things very simple. In Johnson’s recently-filed divorce documents, the TLC personality makes it as clear as possible… … he just wants to be done with his allegedly violent wife as quickly as the court can file his paperwork. As reported late last week, Johnson filed for divorce just hours after Larissa was arrested for domestic battery. The arrest took place following some sort of vicious confrontation Thursday night/Friday morning that resulted in both Colt and Larissa sharing photos of their bloody faces on Instagram. They do not ask Larissa for spousal support; they also state that the estranged couple has no joint property that needs to be split up; nor have they have incurred any joint debt. In other words: There’s not much to figure out here, judge , Colt is saying. Can we get the plug pulled on this marriage, like NOW? Also of note? These documents say that Lima is not pregnant, which may be standard for this type of legal procedure — but which is also interesting because the notion of the stars expecting a child wasn’t that has been mentioned before. Was Colt afraid that Larissa would try to claim she’s with child and, as a result, is entitled to future child support or something? Johnson, meanwhile, has said little in public since Larissa’s arrest and his divorce filing. He did allege on Instagram four days ago, however, that Larissa is willing to go to any length to make him look bad. “I am tired of lies.. from my wife,” he wrote, adding: “Domestic violence is not a publicity method to gain followers. Larissa needs help and I can’t give it to her. I only enable her to continue her behavior and each time it becomes worse and worse. “I have to stand up and say no more.” He also argued that he paid for all of Larissa’s belongings after she moved to America and concluded shortly after news of their latest argument went viral: “Every time she was in trouble, I was there.” With 90 Day Fiance cast members taking sides , Larissa has gone in the opposite direction from Colt. She has issued a number of public statements, asking for money via GoFundMe and breaking down on a recent Instagram Live video. In this footage, the reality star says she needs to hire three attorneys for three different legal cases: A criminal attorney for an ongoing domestic battery case, an attorney for her divorce from husband Colt Johnson and an immigration attorney. “I’m not happy about it, I’m not proud about it, but it’s something that I need your help with now,” Dos Santos Lima told her followers, tearing up. The TLC star also posted on her Instagram Story later, keeping fans up to date as follows: “I am so thankful for all of the donations. Unfortunately, I won’t get the money.” Dos Santos Lima then shared her Venmo and Zelle usernames, telling GoFundMe donors that they would receive a refund. Larissa claimed last Friday that she only scratched Colt in retalliation for him hurting her first. However, the police determined that Larissa’s wounds were actually self-inflicted — and that she was responsible for Colt’s bloody lip. In response to the incident, the cops took Larissa into custody on an assault charge for the second time in about three months. Johnson and Dos Santos Lima starred on the most recent season of the 90 Day Fiance and quietly got married on June 24, 2018. They previously dealt with Johnson’s admitted infidelity and now, according to Johnson, Larissa has not only attacked him… but also attempted to take her own life. After getting wind that Cosby’s legal team plans on asking the judge to let the 81-year-old remain free on bail while he appeals his conviction, they are pushing for him to be thrown behind bars ASAP. Prosecutors are fully aware of Cosby’s legal team trying to stall the courts by appealing the decisions and allowing him to be free, a process which could possibly take years in the court system and allow Cosby to spend the rest of his life as a free man. Cosby could face a maximum of 30 years in prison for aggravated indecent assault.
The question we used to ask about Khloe Kardashian no longer applies. Will she or won’t she take back Tristan Thompson after the basketball player cheated on the reality star with practically any conscious being that possessed a pair of boobs? Yes. She will. Khloe made that clear awhile back when she chose not to publicly shame, or at least dump, Tristan after details of his cheating scandal went public. But then she truly made it clear late last month when responding to a social media user who criticized Khloe for being a “hypocrite” by staying with such a dishonest individual. “You have no knowledge of what goes on in our household or the enormous rebuilding this takes to even coexist. I’m proud of my strength,” Khloe clapped back , adding: “I appreciate your opinion and I hope you hold that same opinion to everyone else who has stayed in situations.” That statement didn’t beat around a single bush: The stars remain together. In an interview on Monday morning with KISS, a good friend of Kris Jenner’s went into further detail about how committed Khloe and Tristan are to each other. The two are in this “one thousand percent,” Lisa Stanley said on air, adding: “They are working through couples therapy. She’s working hard, he’s working hard. You can’t just earn trust back in two months.” It’s been closer to three months now, but point certainly taken. Aside from whatever love exists between Khloe and Tristan, an actual person not exists between them as wekk: Little True Thompson , pictured below, was born to the couple on April 12. “Khloe was always going to try [to] make this work, for a plethora of reasons,” Stanley continued. “The first reason is she has a child now, and she feels very connected to [Tristan] in that way. “The second reason is she loves him. She clearly loves the man.” She really has seem smitten with him for a number of years. But Thompson just cheated on her SO many times is all! As for rumors that Khloe and Tristan are engaged? Stanley says she knows nothing about that arrangement. She does explain that Kardashian is not ready to post any photos yet to her Instagram page of Thompson, which gives her loved ones some hope that maybe the future is not so bright after all. Indeed, Khloe’s family remains firmly planted in the Once-a-Cheater-Always-a-Terrible-Person-and-Cheater camp. They do NOT want to see Kardashian and Thompson together. “If all they had it their way, Tristan would just be the baby daddy. When Farrah Abraham got arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel last month, it initially looked as though she might walk away from the situation scot-free. Though she remained in jail for more than 24 hours awaiting bail, prosecutors took their sweet time deciding whether or not she should be charged for allegedly assaulting a staff member at the hotel. Well, good news for all you Farrah-haters out there: Not only have the powers that be determined Ms. Abraham should go before a judge for the attack, they’ve also decided to charge her with resisting arrest! This, according to TMZ, who reports that if she’s convicted on both charges, Farrah could face up to 18 months in prison . There was a time when we’d say there’s no way someone with Farrah’s wealth, connections, and whiteness would ever go to jail over a pair of misdemeanors, but there are several factors that lead us to believe she might actually wind up doing time. For starters, there’s the egregious nature of her offense. Farrah didn’t justice resist arrest, she told the cops to “f-ck off,” repeatedly and in front of a video camera. To make matters worse, Farrah’s 9-year-old daughter, Sophia, was in the hotel at the time of the incident. Granted, she was upstairs asleep, but still. Getting completely hammered and assaulting someone who was probably just trying to do his job while your young daughter is asleep under the same roof is … not a good look. And while there was a time when pretty much every celebrity carried a wallet full of “get out of jail free” cards, those days are long gone. In fact, Farrah’s years as a reality star might actually work to her disadvantage . A decade of abusive and often violent behavior has been documented by camera crews and can now be viewed by a sentencing judge as a sort of impartial character witness. And since Farrah was recently fired by MTV, she no longer enjoys the sort of personal wealth that might allow her to assemble an OJ-esque legal dream team. That doesn’t mean Farrah is poor, of course — or remotely worried about her situation. In fact, this week saw the launch of Farrah’s first app, which promises subscribers such perks as (non-porn) “exclusive” videos and the opportunity to follow Farrah on her own in-app social media network. The venture probably won’t make her much money, but it serves as a reminder that Farrah is so delusional she would never consider the possibility that she’s not actually above the law.
