Still Strong: Bengals Cut Devon Still After Keeping Him On The Team To Pay For Daughter’s Cancer Treatments

Bengals Cut Devon Still From Team NFL baller and proud daddy Devon Still has been fired by the team that helped him keep his brave daughter alive during her cancer treatments. Via Cincinnati : When the Cincinnati Bengals cut their 2012 second-round pick a year ago, a new NFL roster exception allowed the team to re-sign him to the practice squad despite being in his third season. It was a promise the team made to him so he could continue to carry health insurance. It was a decision that brought peace and an element of security to Still and his family as his daughter, Leah, went through the terrifying stages of Stage 4 neuroblastoma treatments. The Enquirer has confirmed that the Bengals cut Devon Still on Saturday, but the peace of mind can continue. Because the Bengals kept Still a part of the team, he will have health insurance for the next five years — even if he never plays another down in the NFL. It is one of the reasons why there will never be any ill will between Still and the organization. “My heart is still with the Bengals,” Still told The Enquirer earlier in the week when contemplating the chance that he could not make the team. “First of all, they drafted me and gave me the opportunity to be in the NFL. Second of all they did everything they could to help me save my daughter’s life and to raise awareness for pediatric cancer. There’s nothing that can break that bond, can break that relationship, because my daughter is more important than this game any day. They stepped up and helped me take care of my daughter. There’s nothing that can break that.” We hope Devon continues to stay strong not only for himself but for his brave daughter!

Update! Freakazoid Cincinnati Bengals Cheerleader-Teacher Gets ZERO Time For Gettin’ It In With Student!

Wow…we figured she’d get off easy but this is ridiculous! Sarah Jones, the former Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader , plead guilty today to sleeping with her 17-year-old student while she was a teacher at a northern Kentucky high school. In case you didn’t know, the age of consent in KY is 16!!! The 27-year-old cried while she admitted to “adult” misconduct and custodial interference as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors. According to The Huffington Post… “I began a romantic relationship while he was a student and I was in a position of authority,” Jones said, her voice cracking as her family members wiped their own tears. Jones said the relationship began in February 2011 when the boy was 17, saying that the two had sex, that she sent him sexually explicit text messages and lied about the relationship to police. The teen had been in Jones’ freshman English class in 2008, and she was his peer tutor in 2010 and 2011 before he graduated at the age of 17 this year, according to Monday’s plea agreement, signed by Jones. Prosecutors said they were willing to make the deal because the teen, now 18, and his family were uncooperative with them and on Jones’ side. “We feel that it is a just and it is a fair result,” prosecutor Sara Farmer said. “It’s certainly difficult when a victim and his family don’t cooperate by not providing information, but it makes our case a lot harder when they’re actually proactive for a defendant, and in this case, the family was more than supportive of the Jones (family). They were proactive for them.” Part of the reason defense attorney Eric Deters said Jones was willing to plead guilty was because Judge Summe had denied his request to keep the text messages that she sent to the teen out of the trial…”They’re embarrassing,” Deters told reporters after the hearing. “They were steamy.” He also said that now that the teen is 18 years old, he and Jones “are free to be together” and pointed out that they left the courtroom together. He said that Jones will not try out to be a Bengals cheerleader in the future, and that for now, she’s working as a legal assistant in his office. Jones resigned as a teacher at Dixie Heights and from the Bengals cheer squad in late 2011 after four years with both jobs. Deters said at the time that she had done nothing wrong and stepped down because a rumor that she had become involved with a student became too much. Gross. All this trick got was five years of probation (with no jail time) and she doesn’t even have to register as an offender. Images via facebook

Perverts: Ex-NFL Baller Found Guilty On Sex Abuse Charges After Raping 15 Year-Old Babysitter At Gunpoint

Lock him up and throw away the key! Nate Webster, a linebacker who played for the Buccaneers, Bengals and Broncos, was found guilty on a split verdict in a Cincinnati court today, for his relationship with the teenage daughter of a Bengals employee: Jurors convicted former Bengal Nate Webster on sex abuse charges but acquitted him on others. Prosecutors accused Webster of having sex with the teenage daughter of a Bengals employee when she was 15 years old, sometimes at gunpoint. After nearly eight hours of deliberations, the jury convicted Webster on four counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor but acquitted him of gross sexual imposition, sexual battery and one count of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. The jury also did not attach any gun specifications to the four counts for which Webster was convicted. Webster admits to conducting a sexual relationship with the girl, who is now 18 years old, but claims they never had sex until she was 16 years old, which is the age of legal consent in Ohio. Prosecutors offered him a plea deal that would have put him in prison for four years and required him to register as a sex offender upon his release. Webster faces up to 20 years in prison when he is sentenced June 6. Judge Ralph Winkler said Webster would likely receive a prison term, so he was taken into police custody and will remain jailed until the sentencing hearing. Source More On Bossip! Get Your Life Together Already!!! Pacman Jones Popped For Fighting One-Time While Slizzard

This fool here!! After finding a way to mostly avoid headlines for the past few months, Pacman Jones was in Cincinnati last night doing what he does best: f*cking up. The folks at WLWT report that Jones, who now plays for the Bengals, was arrested early Sunday at a Cincinnati bar. He reportedly was intoxicated and disruptive. He allegedly got into an argument, and he allegedly was uncooperative when asked to leave. As Jones was being arrested, he reportedly struggled to get out of the handcuffs. Ultimately, two officers were required to restrain him. With the league taking the position (ridiculous as it may be) that the personal conduct policy applies even though the players are currently locked out, it’ll be interesting to see how Pacman’s latest legal entanglement impact his career, given his history. You big dummy. Source
