Source: SUHAIL SALEH / Getty Rania Youssef had no idea that when she rocked a risqué, black lacy dress over a tight black bodice on Thursday to the Cairo International Film Festival, that it would lead to her facing jail time. Two lawyers filed a lawsuit against the Egyptian actress accusing her of “inciting debauchery”, which could land her in jail for up to five years. According to the AFP, The first lawsuit alleging obscenity was filed by lawyer Amro Abdelsalam and the second by Samir Sabri, another lawyer known for taking celebrities to court. Sabri told AFP that Youssef’s appearance “did not meet societal values, traditions and morals and therefore undermined the reputation of the festival and the reputation of Egyptian women in particular”. Youssef responded to the backlash in a statement, saying, “I probably miscalculated when I chose to wear this dress. It was the first time that I wore it and I did not realise it would spark so much anger. I reaffirm my commitment to the values upon which we were raised in Egyptian society.” Rania’s trial is set to begin on January 12.

Another pre-wedding ritual the bride and groom enjoyed was the Sangeet — a musical evening where both sing and dance… You know these two had a ball. “It all began as a fierce song & dance competition between the families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love,” Chopra wrote on Instagram along with a series of videos and photos from the big night. “Nick and I were looking forward to the Sangeet (musical evening), another pre wedding ritual.. and to see what each side had put together.” “And what a performance it was. Remember earlier this year when we found out that Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra were dating and everybody was like “huh, weird”? And then remember when they got engaged like two months later and everybody was like “…. ‘K”? They just seem like a very strange match, that’s all. Priyanka is just so amazing — she’s talented and intelligent and gorgeous and she does so much charity work. She’s so great. And Nick is cool too , and maybe we’re wrong for not letting him move past his Disney boy band beginnings, but … come on, he’s a Jonas brother. But hey, just for now, let’s put aside any odd feelings we have about this relationship, all right? Because Priyanka and Nick just got married ! The wedding took place today in India, at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur. Unfortunately we don’t have any photos of her dress yet, but we do know that the bride and groom, as well as the entire wedding party, wore designs by Ralph Lauren. Ahead of the wedding, they had a mehendi ceremony, a tradition for Indian weddings in which the bride gets henna designs placed on her hands and feet. Their wedding took place nearly four months exactly after their engagement, which happened just a couple of months after they began dating. But they say that when you know, you know, and when Nick shut down an entire jewelry store in London so he could choose an engagement ring , there’s a pretty good possibility he knew. As he explained in an interview in September, everything “was kind of immediate, and I think we just knew it was right and jumped right in.” And thanks to another interview from earlier this year, we have a good idea what’s going to come next for these two! “I definitely want to have kids,” Priyanka declared back in June, shortly after she began dating Nick. “It’s going to happen in the next 10 years.
