Maksim Chmerkovskiy: Returning to Dancing with the Stars as Guest Judge!

Maksim Chmerkovskiy is returning to the Dancing with the Stars ballroom as a guest judge for Monday’s semifinals, according to reports. Yes, he will be handing out the scores instead of complaining about them. The DWTS pro will be three alongside regular judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli for the show’s first-ever “plugged / unplugged” night. Chmerkovskiy, who appeared on Broadway in “Forever Tango” and heads up six dance studios in the New York area, was long a fixture on DWTS . He said he was always open to returning one day, so it was not a bitter parting of ways. “I never walked away, or said ‘I’m never coming back,'” he said. Simply, “I want to be able to capitalize. We all know why we’re there. Everyone is doing something to better their lifestyle, to better their life. Period.” He’s also bettering his life by dating Kate Upton . Amazing work, Maks. Five couples remain in the popular ABC dance competition after some shocking Dancing With the Stars results over the past three or four weeks: Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani, Amber Riley and Derek Hough, Bill Engvall and Emma Slater, Jack Osbourne and Cheryl Burke and Corbin Bleu and Karina Smirnoff.  Who do you want to win? And are you happy Maks is back?

Sofia Vergara, Breasts Cover GQ Mexico

In February, Sofia Vergara was voted the Most Desirable Woman in the World by readers of AskMen.com. For those somehow questioning whether the Modern Family star is deserving of this honor, we present the cover of this month’s GQ Mexico , along with a bra-less image of the beauty inside the magazine, and we say: Case. Closed. Vergara is as well known for her breasts as she is for her acting – Jimmy Kimmel referenced the star’s cleavage during his White House Correspondent’s Dinner speech – but she doesn’t seem to mind. “My career is because of my look and I am not ashamed of it,” Sofia tells GQ . “My look has opened so many doors. But I also know that if I had something else, my career would have ended long ago. That’s why I see Sophia Loren as the perfect example of beauty, sex appeal and how the one presented in public.” Vergara adds that she takes “great satisfaction” from comparisons to much younger stars such as Megan Fox and Mila Kunis, while male readers will take great satisfaction from the following: This Sofia Vergara nude photo.

Grandparents Give Greatest Wedding Toast Ever

Old people. They’re the best. Mike is about to marry Sue, and in this video, his grandparents offer perhaps the greatest wedding toast of all time. Among their pieces of advice: Be good to each other, help each other financially, and make sure you have food in your Frigidaire. Also, be sure to travel together a lot, but watch out for those topless European girls, and don’t argue with each other … except when you’re arguing about arguing.

Maria Menounos and Derek Hough Achieve Perfection on Dancing With the Stars

Maria Menounos and Derek Hough may or may not be dating, but they’re clearly a perfect match on Dancing With the Stars. They scored the season’s first 30! That’s one way to top their on-stage kiss a few weeks ago. Derek and Maria performed the paso doble and judges were in love with what she turned in, awarding a trio of 10s for the first time in this fun 14th season. Carrie Ann Inaba joked “that dance sucked!” before remarking “You two were so on fire!” Bruno Tonioli, meanwhile, may still be having heart palpitations. Check out the first-place pair ‘s perfect paso doble below: Maria Menounos & Derek Hough – Paso Doble (DWTS Week 7)

Epic Local News Reporter Fail: I’m Stupid!

A local news reporter in New Haven, Connecticut got all kinds of tongue tied during a story last week, and what resulted was this embarrassing clip. On location outside an elementary school, she began to tell viewers about how two teachers are being investigated for … sorry, it’s a lot to remember! After blanking, she uttered “I’m stupid” before the anchors cut her off. To be fair to the poor girl, it’s possible this was a pre-recorded segment she shot and the producers used the wrong tape (of the failed take) instead of the final one. Whoever was responsible for this, nice work … Local News Reporter: I’m Stupid!

Chelsie Hightower Barely Avoids Dancing With the Stars Wardrobe Malfunction

Chelsie Hightower narrowly avoided falling out of her outfit Monday night on Dancing With the Stars. She held it together in more ways than one, however. The right shoulder strap of Hightower’s bird costume starting slipping down, but she managed to pull it back up during the dance and end on a high note. “All together there?” host Tom Bergeron asked as Hightower, 22, as she and Fegan, 20, ended the routine. “Part of that costume almost flew the coop!” Roshon Fegan & Chelsie Hightower – Salsa (DWTS Week 5) Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli kept their comments focused on Fegan’s exceptional salsa, calling it “sexy” and “unbelievable.” Fegan says he looked to contestant/Cuban heartthrob William Levy for inspiration for his sexy moves, and it appears be chose role models wisely. Levy topped the week’s Dancing With the Stars scores with 29 (as did Katherine Jenkins), while Roshon and Chelsie landed in a solid fifth place with 26.

J.R. Martinez on Dancing With the Stars: Waltzing and Jiving to Perfection

Last night’s Dancing With the Stars was the J.R. Martinez show. He had two chances to redeem himself from an off-week last Monday and boy did he deliver. If this continues, everyone else is dancing for second place. Martinez scored, not one but two, perfect 30s – first for his waltz, then for his instant jive with Karina Smirnoff – the first dancer to do so in Season 13. J.R. Martinez on Dancing With the Stars (Week 8 – Waltz) “It was like a musical Valentine card,” DWTS judge Bruno Tonioli said. “You dance with your heart on your sleeve. Totally involved, totally dedicated.” “This is a war on the floor,” Len Goodman added. “Each week is a battle. Last week you retreated a bit, but, like the soldier you are you came back, guns blazing.” The Iraq War vet, soap opera actor and motivational speaker certainly has the inspiring story, fan support and dance moves to take home the Mirror Ball. Can J.R. Martinez be stopped? We’ll find out in the coming weeks, but it looks like the title could he his to lose. Watch his instant jive after the jump: J.R. Martinez on Dancing With the Stars (Week 8 – Jive)

‘Dancing With The Stars’: Chaz Bono Makes His Exit

‘This was an amazing journey that really pushed me,’ says Bono, who was in the bottom two with Hope Solo. By Kelley L. Carter Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer on “Dancing With The Stars” week six Photo: ABC The bottom-two scorers on the leaderboard were also the bottom two overall on Tuesday night’s “Dancing With the Stars” elimination show. Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Chaz Bono and Lacey Schwimmer left the judges feeling underwhelmed after their performances on Monday night, and viewers must have agreed. In the end, it was Bono who got the boot. On Monday night, the activist tangoed to a track from “Phantom of the Opera,” and he had hoped that his newfound confidence would continue in that night’s performance. It failed to impress the judges, and backstage, he said his feelings were hurt by the comments given to him by judge Bruno Tonioli, who described him as a penguin. The judges also commented that they thought it was the most aggressive they’ve seen him but thought he needed to be pushed a little further if he wanted to last longer in the competition. “It was like watching a cute little penguin trying to be a big menacing bird of prey. This is the truth: It has to be menacing. Dark. Dangerous. Naughty. The tango wants to be driven continuously. It is hard. It’s very difficult. To me, this character didn’t fit you,” Tonioli told him Monday night. Bono, the son of Cher and Sonny Bono and the competition’s first transgender contestant, said he had no regrets about coming on the show. “I took so much away from this. This was an amazing journey that really pushed me and showed me that I could do so much more than I ever thought I could,” he said. “I came on this show because I wanted to show America a different kind of man. If there was somebody like me on TV when I was growing up, my whole life would have been different. And so I dedicated everything I did to all the people out there like me and especially to kids and teens who are struggling. You can have a wonderful, great life and be successful and happy.” Were you sad to see Chaz go? Let us know in the comments.

Carson Kressley Cut From ‘Dancing With The Stars’

‘Queer Eye for the Straight Guy’ alum joined by Hope Solo in bottom two. By Kelley L. Carter Carson Kressley Photo: ABC In the final minutes of Tuesday night’s “Dancing With the Stars” telecast, it came down to Hope Solo and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy vs. Carson Kressley and his partner Anna Trebunskaya. Both were thought to be fan favorites — Solo and Chmerkovskiy were consistently applauded for their great technique; the other couple for their whimsy and crowd appeal — but it was Kressley and Trebunskaya who were eliminated in the end. On Monday night’s show, Kressley had said this week was his most stressful. Still, he and Trebunskaya took on the jive and gave it a colorful, cheerleader-like spin. The judges thought it was good, wacky fun but lacked technique. “This is a crowning achievement in madness,” Bruno Tonioli told them Monday night. When Kressley’s name was called, the crowd booed, but the “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” star said he was proud of what he’d accomplished. “I gotta say thank you to everyone involved,” he said after learning his fate. “Anna has been the most amazing, patient and kind partner. This has been pure joy for me. I hope I could make people smile and laugh and have a great time.” Host Tom Bergeron joked that it was a shame Kressley was leaving before next week’s theme, which is Broadway. He also told Kressley that he gets to keep the outfits he wore on the show, to which he cheered and said it was just in time for Halloween. “It was great being here,” Kressley said. “I can’t say enough about what a great, positive experience this was. I’ll be back every week cheering for my castmates!” Were you sad to see Carson go? Let us know in the comments.
