Rachel Lindsay & Bryan Abasolo: Preparing to Elope?!

We all make mistakes. Most of us don’t have our mistakes broadcast on international television. But the whole world saw Rachel Lindsay choose Bryan Abasolo . They’re still together though, and Rachel’s talking about wedding plans. But … it sounds like she might just elope. Speaking to Us Weekly , Rachel Lindsay gushed about her engagement to Bryan Abasolo and how eager she is to tie the knot. “I’m ready to be married.” Well, it would have been weird for her to go on The Bachelor and then star on The Bachelorette otherwise. “I keep saying winter wedding, which more so with the process of everything is what it’s looking like, but honestly I could elope with Bryan tomorrow.” A winter wedding sounds lovely, right? Elopement sounds … well, it probably sounds a lot easier. And apparently Rachel’s mother agrees. “And it’s so funny because my mom texted me the other day and she goes, ‘Secretly I would love for you to just elope.’” It’s hard to tell if her mother really wants that or if she’s just fatigued at the idea of this huge, expensive wedding. “The family loves him,” Rachel claims. That sounds a little different from what we saw on Hometown Dates, but … okay. “I want good music, good vibes, a lot of family and friends around, and I just want it to be a big reunion, that I know.” That sounds like what most people want for their weddings. “Someone said the other day, ‘What about having the wedding in Colombia?’ and actually that’s a thought that we’re thinking about right now.” What would be the point of a winter wedding if it’s in Columbia? But she’s a Texas girl, and perhaps doesn’t enjoy the cold. “That’s the first time I’ve said that out loud!” Usually , you want your fiance or at least your wedding planner to be the person you tell, not Carly from Us Weekly . No offense to Carly. Rachel Lindsay talks about her friends that she made within the Bachelor Nation. “They’re with me everywhere.” Awww, that’s sweet to imagine. “I’m stuck with them for life.” That … well, we’re sure that she’s joking. She goes on to gush about what it’s like to be engaged to Bryan Abasolo. “Bryan’s romantic every day.” He promised her a fairytale romance, and it sounds like he’s delivering. “He’s always giving me massages, he’s always catering to my needs to the point where I’m like, ‘Hold on. Let me do something for you.’” That sounds like it might be bordering on TMI, but it also sounds very pleasant. “Bryan’s just very sweet. Whenever I need something he’s very attentive to it, so I would say he’s romantic every single day.” She also talks about their disagreements when it comes to children: “I want four kids. Bryan wants three, but he also says it depends on how many we can afford.” We never imagined that we’d say this, but … we’re team Bryan Abasolo. “See, this is what I mean about Bryan, he’s so practical. I’m just like, ‘Give me all the babies. If we can’t have them, we’re adopting.’ So we’ll see.” Let’s see if she still wants four after a few months of infant-induced sleep deprivation. Rachel talks about some more immediate plans that she and Bryan have. “We’re spending Christmas with his family.” Bryan Abasolo has gushed in the past about how much his grandma loves Rachel Lindsay . “We’re gonna be two weeks in Miami. He spent Thanksgiving with my family, so it’s all been so seamless in how it’s all come together.” Well, if you like wasting part of winter in warm climates where the weather takes “winter” as a mere suggestion, Miami sounds lovely. Kaitlyn Bristowe: I Wanted to Send Nick Viall Home SOONER!

Kaitlyn Bristowe may have gotten her happily ever after with Shawn Booth after The Bachelorette , but that doesn’t mean that her season went exactly the way that she wanted it to. In fact, Kaitlyn says that there was one thing in particular that she’d never planned on — and that was keeping Nick Viall around as long as she did. There have been no shortage of breakups of Bachelor couples. In many cases, people have found that the person they got to know on reality television isn’t the same when the cameras aren’t rolling. In others, the fact that the cameras were rolling at that they were all on a timetable doesn’t give them time for honest communication before they get engaged. And their celebrity status afterwards makes it hard for their relationship to continue even after the season airs. And, obviously, some couples just drift apart. You can look at the breakup of Lauren Bushnell and Ben Higgins , whose relationship was strangled by a lack of honest communication thanks to the relentless presence of cameras in their lives. (Ben was on Kaitlyn’s season — that will come up in a moment) Then you have breakups like the one between Josh Murray and Amanda Stanton, that involved Josh calling the police . Their split seemed like it would have happened even if they’d just met over Tinder or whatever. But, despite all of the things that can and so often do go wrong in relationships, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth are still together. Not married, but they’re together. So what, in Kaitlyn’s view, went wrong with her season? On her own podcast, titled Off The Vine , Kaitlyn Bristowe revealed that she never intended for Nick Viall to make it to the final two. For some time, Kaitlyn knew that she wanted to be with Shawn Booth. (Clearly, he was the right choice, as they’re still happily together) She had also decided that Ben Higgins would be the last man she sent home. As you remember, Ben came in third, not second, and it was Nick Viall who was Kaitlyn Bristowe’s final breakup. Nick Viall ended up going on and getting engaged to Vanessa Grimaldi (though they of course have broken up). Kaitlyn doesn’t say why things ended up the way that they did, but it’s interesting that her own decisions didn’t quite match up with her own plans. Kaitlyn may have gotten her happy ending, but that doesn’t mean that she’s turned her back on the Bachelor Nation. Recently, when it was finally revealed that Rachel Lindsay had made the controversial choice of settling with Bryan Abasolo, Kaitlyn posted this message to Instagram. “Attention Rachel and [Bryan Abasolo]. Today will be one of the best days of your life. When you can finally be out in the real world hand in hand.” She actually referred to Bryan as “Jerome,” which had been Rachel’s code word for her unnamed fiance. We suspect that Kaitlyn wrote this out in advance. Or maybe she just didn’t want to spoil things for those who hadn’t seen it yet. “I honestly don’t think you need advice because you seem to be on cloud 9 and you’re smart af, but here’s mine for what it’s worth.” Awwww, that is so cute. “Do not listen to outside voices. People will try and bring you down, I’m not sure why…But they do.” We, at least, don’t want to bring down Rachel Lindsay. We don’t understand her choice, but we want her to be happy. “As long as you surround yourselves with people who love you, and remind each other that they come first, you will be ok. You both have our full support. #TheBachelorette” This was from her and from Shawn Booth. Adorable. We’re not sure what lesson to take from this. Kaitlyn isn’t alleging a conspiracy by the Bachelorette producers or anything. It just sounds like she had a hard time letting Nick go before the end. Harder than she’d anticipated. Nick Viall’s been on one Bachelor show or another about a million times (approximately), so he’s clearly good at winning hearts. But … he’s also seemingly done with reality television. Rachel Lindsay to DeMario Jackson: STFU! You Don’t Know Me!

If you were to ask Rachel Lindsay, DeMario Jackson has a lot in common with Jon Snow. Because he came back from the dead? Because he may be the Prince That Was Promised? No. Because, according to Lindsay, Jackson knows nothing. Appearing on The E&G Podcast yesterday, Jackson touched on his brief stint as a suitor on The Bachelorette this past season, one in which Lindsay gave him the boot after learning DeMario had a girlfriend. “I was only there for the two weeks in the house,” Jackson said, prior to delving into controversial territory: “From the beginning you knew that she was attracted to white men. You knew that. No disrespect, you just knew. She had that vibe. “From night one, we all set down, all the guys and I said, ‘They’re going to have a black representative, either myself or Eric, and they’re going to have Dean, Peter, and Brian as the final four.’ “We all caught that.” In the end, Lindsay selected Bryan Abasolo over Peter Kraus on the show’s finale. Both men are white, but that’s nothing more than a coincidence, Lindsay says. Commenting on a photo from the podcast’s official Instagram page that was promoting Jackson’s appearance on E&G, she wrote the following on Tuesday: “Says the guy that dated Lexi [a white woman]. Demario never knew me and still doesn’t.” DeMario, of course, has become more famous for the controversy that engulfed him and Corinne Olympios on Season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise than for his time on The Bachelorette. Production on that spinoff was halted for a couple weeks while Warner Bros. conducted an internal investigation that eventually cleared DeMario of all sexual misconduct charges. He appeared on the show last night, sat down opposite Chris Harrison and discussed all he’s been through. “I know who I am. I know I’m not that monster they’re trying to portray on TV,” Jackson said. “Like Michelle Obama said, ‘When they go low, you go high.’ It was hard to go high, but I had to do it because I train and mentor children, and I can’t tell them to be something that I’m not. “That’s what kept me going. And great family, friends, school teachers, people at the gym. It was crazy to see the response from them… There was just so much love. I was extremely humbled.”  Olympios will speak on air to Harrison next week. Peter Kraus Might Not Be the Bachelor, Because Everything’s Garbage

Did Peter Kraus being a mature person with a grounded, honest idea of what engagements mean kill his chance to be the Bachelor? Yeah, we know — it’s upsetting to think about. But, unthinkably, it’s starting to look that way. From very early on, Peter Kraus was a clear frontrunner on this last season of The Bachelorette . To the collective horror of most of the Bachelor Nation, Rachel Lindsay chose Bryan Abasolo and left Peter as a weeping mess. What appears to have been the deciding factor for Rachel, despite Peter Kraus’ countless winning qualities, is that Bryan was willing to say exactly what Rachel wanted to hear. Rachel wanted her season to end with a proposal. To Peter, a proposal means a commitment to marry — which is, folks, literally what proposals are — and he would want to continue to get to know Rachel and date her after their season ended. You don’t know someone until you’ve seen them off-camera. To Rachel, though, a delay on the proposal meant an interruption of her carefully imagined plans. It was a dealbreaker. But many began to hope that Peter would go on to have a career within the Bachelor Nation. We talked to you about why Peter Kraus would be the perfect Bachelor . He has a huge fanbase already. He’s charming, he’s handsome. And there’s a reason that we spent an entire post talking about Peter Kraus’ abs, folks . Seriously. Despite the demands by Bachelor Nation members of sense everywhere, however, it looks like the creator of The Bachelor doesn’t think that Peter is the right fit. Mike Fleiss is a producer of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette . He is also the creator of The Bachelor . Just a few hours ago, in possibly the most transparent subtweet that we have seen, ever, in our lives, Mike Fleiss said this: “Do we really want a Bachelor who isn’t ready to settle down with a woman he loves? Hmmm. Not what # thebachelor is all about…” Dude, that is not subtle at all. Peter Kraus has said that he’s undecided about being the Bachelor , but his fans are rooting for him. In the light of Mike Fleiss’ tweet, though, many fans are crushed. We’d like to point out that it isn’t a “hard no.” And also that Fleiss didn’t actually mention Peter Kraus by name at all. (Even though he might as well have just hired a skywriter to spell out Peter’s full name in the heavens) It’s entirely possible that Fleiss is deliberately teasing the Bachelor Nation, or even floating the idea by appearing to reject it. As many fans responded, Peter as a suitor and Peter as the leading man are very different things regarding his willingness to commit. We’ll say this much about the horrible nightmare universe where Peter Kraus isn’t the Bachelor: At least there’s a chance that it could be Dean Unglert. If you’ll recall, Dean Unglert is also a favorite to be the Bachelor . Despite his youth. Unlike with Peter Kraus , even Rachel Lindsay seemed supportive of the idea of Dean taking up the mantle. Dean is a little young, but he’s 26, so … that shouldn’t be a dealbreaker for anyone. He’s also basically universally loved (even by Peter — those two struck up a real friendship) and his dazzling blue eyes can steal anyone’s heart. So, even without Peter, there’s a very real chance that the next season of The Bachelor could be salvaged. Peter Kraus: We Need to Talk About His Abs, Folks

We’ve done a terrible disservice, to Peter Kraus but also to his fans. Sure, we’ve spoken plenty about how he should absolutely be the next Bachelor . We’ve talked about how charming and sincere here is. What we haven’t done, however, is give sufficient time and attention to Peter Kraus’ abs. And that’s on us. We’ve mentioned that a major asset of Peter Kraus’ that made him such a stronger contender on The Bachelorette and that should make him such an obvious choice for The Bachelor is that he’s handsome. Photos of him speak for themselves in that regard, but what if someone with impaired vision has their computer read them posts on Peter Kraus? They deserve to know . But his soulful eyes and powerful jawline and winnin, gap-toothed smile don’t tell the whole story. For the whole story, you need to see this man in all of his glory. This is a guy who did modeling before he became a fitness trainer, and it shows. We included this photo when we wrote about Rachel Lindsay claiming that Peter Kraus is manipulative , but we didn’t talk about it. This photo: We included it in the post like it’s just a selfie that he snapped at brunch or whatever. We didn’t give it any time or attention. That’s basically a crime. He shared that inescapable thirst trap on Friday. It’s the kind of pic that might kill you — but it’ll also bring you back to life. And while we’re talking about Peter Kraus photos, well … there’s this: This photo has abs and thighs, giving fans and followers a jaw-dropping double-dose. The pic is also very reminiscent (though probably by accident) of a particular screencap from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt that PC Gamer’s Twitter account uses every single time that they write about The Witcher . They do this to troll insecure followers who didn’t like the particular photo of Geralt in a bathtub. It’s hard to imagine this photo of Peter Kraus eliciting any complaints, though. He should just do commercials where he’s posed like that and selling a product. Any product, really. Watch the sales go up. Any viewer would be thoroughly entranced. And here’s one that we included on our list of reasons that Peter Kraus should absolutely be the next Bachelor. It’s almost enough to make you wonder why we bothered having anything else on the list. Obviously, as we’ve mentioned, Peter has a lot more going for him than his shockingly chiseled body or his dazzling good looks. And those will be major assets for him, wherever his career takes him next. (Hopefully he’ll play the lead on  The Bachelor , though he hasn’t yet said if he’d agree to be the Bachelor ) Personality matters when you’re choosing someone with whom you might potentially spend the entire rest of your life, so it’s a huge deal on a show like The Bachelorette . But most people don’t have the option of dating Peter Kraus, on or off of television. Most people only see him through a screen. So, though the Bachelor Nation already knows endless reasons why Peter is lovable, it helps to be reminded of exactly what a spectacular catch he is. You’re welcome, basically. And while we’re talking about Peter Kraus photos, well … there’s this: This photo has abs and thighs, giving fans and followers a jaw-dropping double-dose. The pic is also very reminiscent (though probably by accident) of a particular screencap from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt that PC Gamer’s Twitter account uses every single time that they write about The Witcher . They do this to troll insecure followers who didn’t like the particular photo of Geralt in a bathtub. It’s hard to imagine this photo of Peter Kraus eliciting any complaints, though. He should just do commercials where he’s posed like that and selling a product. Any product, really. Watch the sales go up. Any viewer would be thoroughly entranced. And here’s one that we included on our list of reasons that Peter Kraus should absolutely be the next Bachelor. It’s almost enough to make you wonder why we bothered having anything else on the list. Obviously, as we’ve mentioned, Peter has a lot more going for him than his shockingly chiseled body or his dazzling good looks. And those will be major assets for him, wherever his career takes him next. (Hopefully he’ll play the lead on  The Bachelor , though he hasn’t yet said if he’d agree to be the Bachelor ) Personality matters when you’re choosing someone with whom you might potentially spend the entire rest of your life, so it’s a huge deal on a show like The Bachelorette . But most people don’t have the option of dating Peter Kraus, on or off of television. Most people only see him through a screen. So, though the Bachelor Nation already knows endless reasons why Peter is lovable, it helps to be reminded of exactly what a spectacular catch he is. You’re welcome, basically.
