Bring The Funny: NBC Orders Comedy Competition Series With Kenan Thompson, Chrissy Teigen, Amanda Seales & Jeff Foxworthy

Source: NBC / Getty NBC Orders Brand New Comedy Competition Series NBC is teaming with Just For Laughs for  Bring The Funny , a new comedy competition series which will aim to find the next great comedic act. The network just ordered 10 episodes of the show that will feature  Saturday Night Live ‘s Kenan Thompson , Chrissy Teigen , and Jeff Foxworthy as judges, along with comedian Amanda Seales as the series’ host. Bring The Funny –which is billed as a new competition series for the next generation of comedy lovers–will feature some incredibly talented stand-ups, sketch troupes, and comedic variety acts, according to the show’s official description. “From solo comics to sketch troupes to musicians, magicians, podcasters, puppeteers, YouTubers and more – anyone who can make audiences laugh will have the chance to receive the career-changing $250,000 prize package and see their name in lights in the Bring the Funny showcase.” “Great comedians know how to make us laugh while serving as a reflection of the times, and we are excited to embrace and support the myriad of ways funny people bring us levity and humor today,” said Meredith Ahr, President, Alternative and Reality Group, NBC Entertainment. “Kenan, Chrissy, Jeff and Amanda are not only hilarious, but are pioneers in their respective arenas and understand what it takes to have longevity and breadth in this industry. Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Banned From ‘The Voice’ Set!

John Legend joins The Voice for the sixteenth season as a coach AND he’s already off to somewhat of a rocky start. While Legend has been a guest and a mentor on the show multiple times, it’s now his turn to decide who will be the perfect mentor for #TeamJL. And his pick… Kanye West!  I mean, it’s not shocking that Legend would think of West. They are pretty good pals, despite their political differences, and have been friends for years. His friendship with West even helped land him a record deal with Columbia Records back in 2004. So, yeah, the two have some history. But, we all know their wives, Kim Kardashian and Chrissy Teigen’s friendship might be even closer…  The foursome is often spotted hanging out together and even went on a couple’s vacation to San Francisco recently. Also, the fact that West and Legend have recorded together in the past makes him an eligible candidate.  However, according to Radar Online, when the three other returning coaches, which include Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine heard about this they quickly shared their concerns with the “higher-ups” of the show.  An insider shared, “Kanye has just caused too many problems in his personal life and endeavors lately and they just feel that it would be best if him and Kim stayed away from the show for John’s first season.”  Guess that means Kim can’t hang with bestie Chrissy backstage.  “John has been bringing Chrissy to set and everyone gets along with the both of them just fine. He has a big head and he is definitely trying to win, but they are all in it to win it,” a source tells Radar. “Everyone thinks he just needs to calm down and relax because he is getting himself all psyched out over this. Welp, that didn't take long. Chrissy Teigen just created the first viral moment of 2019. And she did it when the new year was merely a second old. Teigen appeared on NBC’s New Year’s Eve telecast on Monday evening, where she counted down to the new year with Saturday Night Live star Leslie Jones and Today‘s Carson Daly. Typically, we'd be wondering why on earth a single person would ever go down to Times Square to watch the ball drop in person around this time. However, instead of shaking our heads over the thousands of revelers in the background of the clip featured here, we're laughing our rear ends off over what transpired between Teigen and Jones. You see, when the hilarious social media user and mother of two went in to hug Jones … she was accidentally smacked in the face by Leslie's umbrella. “I'm okay!” Teigen joked on Twitter after a follower shared video from the unexpected moment, adding: “7am. Heading back out to Time's Square to find my eyeball.” Jones, who is also an expert user of the Twitter machine, chimed in as follows: “Ugh I can't believe I hit @ChrissyTeigen in face!! Lordt!! I love you boo!! So Sorry. #ThatsWhyIHateUmbrellas.” Perhaps, however, this moment was actually planned in order to serve as a distraction from the mini controversy Teigen stirred up when she mentioned vaginal steaming on the show. Yes, vaginal steaming. In response, some viewers complained that the subject wasn’t appropriate for a telecast many were watching with they’re young kids. Wrote one individual, for example: “Maybe I’m old but not that old. Watching NBC with my 12 year old 20 min before the ball drops and Chrissy Teigen starts talking about vaginal steaming. Bird Box took Netflix by storm over the holidays. In the film, Sandra Bullock is one of the survivors of a worldwide phenomenon in which treachurous entities inflict madness upon people who see them. To survive, she and the others — including two children — blindfold themselves almost all of the time. She also takes a box of birds small birds with her. The birds alert her when the entities are nearby. Viewers were haunted by what they saw. Even celebrities were not immune. Others were merely perplexed or critical.
