Madonna’s "Give Me All Your Love" Single Leaks: Listen, Comment Now!

Madonna has yet to announce what her 12th album, scheduled for release next year, will be called, but her new single, “Give Me All Your Love,” has been leaked. With hints of what made her ’80s music great and elements of current-day pop, this song may get what its title demands among diehard fans of Her Madgesty. Some are already calling it the musical equivalent of hydrangeas, though. Madonna and her manager, Guy Oseary, responded that the leak is merely a demo and that completed versions of her new tracks won’t be released until 2012. Damage control? Listen to the new song below and see what you think: Madonna – Give Me All Your Love

Oops: Rick Perry Campaign Goes Down in Flames at GOP Debate

Texas Gov. Rick Perry produced by far the most memorable moment of Wednesday’s Republican presidential debate, and his campaign likely ended in the process. Already characterized as not ready for prime time after several poor debate performances cast serious doubts on his candidacy, Perry hit a new low last night. It’s one thing to have a bad outing … but Perry never has a good one, and in this almost comical clip, he had no idea what he was even talking about on stage: Rick Perry Stumbles in Debate Perry tried to name three federal agencies he would eliminate if he is elected president, but came up with just two: the Commerce and Education Departments. Struggling to come up with #3, Perry received encouragement from one of his rivals, Rep. Ron Paul, who suggested he should actually eliminate five agencies. Someone then suggested that maybe Perry was talking about the Environmental Protection Agency. No, he said that wasn’t the third. But what was it, then? No clue. After an awkward pause, he drew a blank, offering only a simple “Oops.” You wonder why virtual unknown Herman Cain became the Tea Party darling …

Rush Limbaugh , on his show yesterday, played a montage of the fawning MSM comparing Obama in his speech to the US Chamber of Commerce, to JFK. E.J. DIONNE: It was a John F. Rush and Glenn Are Losing the Light Bulb Wars, According To New Survey

No, this is not what you need to clean up a broken CFL. Image Credit Foxtongue Fred Upton, soon to be head of the Energy and Commerce Committee , was too green for Rush Limbaugh because he co-sponsored the 2007 legislation on light bulb efficiency. Glenn Beck called him a “socialist” for it. To get his new gig he had to backtrack and promise to re-examine his position.

Judge strikes down federal health care law

RICHMOND, Va. – A federal judge rejected a key provision of the Obama administration's health care law as unconstitutional Monday, ruling the government cannot require people to buy insurance, in a dispute that both sides agree will ultimately be decided by the U.S. Supreme Court. U.S. District Judge Henry E. Hudson is the first federal judge to strike down the law, which has been upheld by two other federal judges in Virginia and Michigan. Several other lawsuits have been dismissed and others are pending, including one filed by 20 other states in Florida. The government had argued the Commerce Clause of the Constitution gives the government the power to require individuals to buy health insurance or face a penalty, a provision due to take effect in 2014. But Hudson sided with Virginia Attorney General Kenneth Cuccinelli in saying the mandate overstepped the Constitution. “This case, however, turns on atypical and uncharted applications of constitutional law interwoven with subtle political undercurrents,” Hudson wrote. There was no immediate comment from the White House. The Department of Justice, which defended the law in court, stood by its argument that Congress was within its rights to enact the law. Cuccinelli argued that while the government can regulate economic activity that substantially affects interstate commerce, the decision not to buy insurance amounts to economic inactivity that is beyond the government's reach. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_health_care_overhaul_virginia;_ylt =Ah21X60xT3d7uFclfRhXUAOs0NUE;_ylu=X3oDMTQwMzNvaGE4BGFzc2V0A2FwLzIwMTAxMjEzL3VzX2hlYWx0aF9jYXJlX292ZXJoYXVsX3ZpcmdpbmlhBGNjb2RlA21vc3Rwb3B1bGFyBGNwb3MDMQRwb3MDMgRwdANob21lX2Nva2UEc2VjA3luX3RvcF9zdG9yeQRzbGsDanVkZ2VpbnZhc3Ry added by: JohnA

China’s 45 Billion Disposable Chopsticks Require 100 Acres of Forests Every 24 Hours

Photo: Flickr , CC That’s a Lot of Chopsticks Apparently China’s Ministry of Commerce has had it with disposable chopsticks. It sent out a warning to chopstick makers in June to warn them that: “Production, circulation and recycling of disposable chopsticks should be more strictly supervised.” The reason? With about 45 billion disposable chopstick pairs made every year in the country, or about 130 million a day, a lot of wood is being wasted, and that in a country that is trying to increase its forest cover… Read the full story on TreeHugger

Retail Sales Drop Stirs Fears

In the first drop since last September, U.S. retailers have unexpectedly reported a decrease in sales, stirring perennial fears that the much-discussed road to economic recovery isn’t as on track as once believed. —JCL Reuters: Sales at retailers unexpectedly fell in May for the first time since September following a record slump in purchases of building materials, adding to fears the economic recovery was losing some steam. Friday’s report follows last week’s data showing a sharp slowdown in private hiring in May, but analysts still saw little risk of the economy slipping back into recession. “The report is not evidence that the economy is getting ready for a double-dip or that consumers, facing headwinds of double-digit unemployment and bank credit restriction, are taking their ball and going home,” said Chris Rupkey, chief financial economist at Bank of Tokyo/Mitsubishi in New York. Total retail sales dropped 1.2 percent after rising 0.6 percent in April, the Commerce Department said.
