Tomi showed up at The Real last week and revealed she supports abortion rights. According to The Daily Caller , this is what lead to her suspensions. On his TheBlaze TV show Thursday, the conservative commentator slammed the wrestling organization due to its portrayal of Zeb Colter, an overly patriotic grappler who Beck feels is “demonizing” the Tea Party. “You’re making a villain out of what?” Beck asked, adding that the company is alienating its fans: “Probably 80% of your audience who’s tired as it is of being miscast? They’re tired of this.” Beck went on to wonder: Has Vince McMahon been influenced by liberal billionaire George Soros? “Did George Soros buy the WWE? I expect that from Hollywood, but I don’t expect – if I’m getting my entertainment from somebody that I think is on my side – and I’m sorry. The UnFair campaign, a new anti-racism effort from the University of Minnesota-Duluth, challenges racial stereotypes by pointing the finger at white privilege. As such, it has been accused by some critics as being racist itself. University of Minnesota-Duluth calls the UnFair Campaign “a major anti-racism effort focusing on the role white people can play in addressing racial disparities.” Sounds good, right? See if you think so after watching it: University of Minnesota Anti-Racism Campaign The 30-second spot shows multiple white men and women, remarks stenciled in black on their faces, explaining what being white provides them inherently. One white male declares, “society was setup for us, and our silence keeps it in place.” Fairly or not, it looks to associates fair skin and features with guilt. UMD’s Chancellor Lendley Black, who supports the effort, said he sought to “create an inclusive campus climate for all” with the campaign’s components. The Blaze, a right-wing site started by Glenn Beck, has a post up insinuating that Trayvon Martin may have been a dangerous criminal: But Mytheos Holt, an associate editor at the Blaze, chided many supporters of Trayvon “for being too willing to exploit racial controversy” and for dismissing claim of self-defense Zimmerman. Holt went further and criticized Trayvon Martin by insinuating that the slain teen was a troublemaker. We’re also learning more about Trayvon Martin. According to reporters he had been suspended from school. The International Business Times says Martin’s suspension was due to last for 10 days. But what exactly was he suspended for in the first place? Sources sympathetic to Martin say he was suspended for “excessive tardiness.” However, a quick review of both the local policies for Martin’s school, the Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School, and of the Miami-Dade school district’s district-wide policies, raise some doubts. Holt went on to enumerate the many infractions which can lead to a student being suspended in that school district — including theft, sexual harassment, vandalism or sex offenses. No reports have suggested that Martin was suspended for anything other than lateness. Holt did not explain in his post why he assumed that these hypothetical infractions were likely.
