America’s Got Talent has not lacked for drama early in Season 9. Travis Pratt proposed to his girlfriend on stage. Paul Thomas Mitchell made like John Mayer and then broke down in front of the judges. Anna Christine was simply awesome. And then last night Jonathan Allen came out, announced that his parents kicked him out on his 18th birthday for being gay, and then stunned with the following audition: Jonathan Allen America’s Got Talent Audition Crowed Howie Mandel: “You seem like a good person, and you have a dream, and a talent, and your own family disowned you, but with your talent, this show has become your family, and we’d like to say ‘welcome home.’ We love you, we accept you, and we are so proud that you came here.” Amen, Howie. Paris Jackson is stable following her recent suicide attempt, and her condition is improving, but she’s still dealing with some pretty heavy issues emotionally. Chief among them? She never properly grieved or emotionally processed Michael Jackson’s 2009 death, sources connected with the Jackson family say. Currently in treatment at UCLA Medical Center, Paris has felt the impact of bullying on social media and websites, and has let it “really get to her.” She does not have access to her phone or the Internet, so the problem is on the back burner for now, however it’s only a matter of time until it returns. Paris, one source says, is a “rebel” who almost got expelled from her private school after punching a student who “talked smack about her father.” Her mother and potential new legal guardian Debbie Rowe is said to have expressed deep concern about some friends Paris has been hanging with. Rowe believes some of Paris’ peers are bad influences, and while it’s not specifically clear why, the 15-year-old is clearly having an identity crisis . Moreover, doctors feel Paris has not really gone through the grieving process over her dad’s death, and turmoil has built up internally for four years. When Paris gets out of UCLA, she and Debbie Rowe are going away together for 6-8 weeks so she can get better – far from the pressures of L.A. Ted Dwane was rushed to the emergency room yesterday after suffering blood clot on his brain, with Mumford & Sons releasing a statement that updates fans on the condition of its bassist: “Our friend and bandmate Ted has been feeling unwell for a few days, and yesterday he was taken to a hospital to receive emergency treatment,” the band says, adding: “The scans revealed a blood clot on the surface of his brain that requires an operation. Ted is receiving excellent care and we are being assured that he will recover quickly from surgery.” As a result of this incident, Mumford & Sons – on tour in support of its second album – announced that it has postponed shows in Dallas, Woodlands and New Orleans. “We have no plans to cancel or postpone any other appearances along this current tour,” added the group. “We’re all wishing Ted a speedy recovery.” The quartet’s next concert is scheduled for June 15 at the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Manchester, TN. When it rains, it pours for Lance Armstrong, who is under federal investigation for obstruction, witness tampering and intimidation, according to reports. The U.S. Attorney’s office is reportedly in the midst of an active criminal investigation of the disgraced, 41-year-old former Tour de France champion. According to an ABC source, who agreed to speak to the network the condition that his name and position were not used regarding the matter: “Agents are actively investigating Armstrong for obstruction, witness tampering and intimidation” at various points in his (falsely) acclaimed career. The revelation marks a contrast with the U.S. Attorney for Southern California, Andre Birotte, whose own criminal inquiry of Armstrong was/is underway. Birotte’s office spent nearly two years investigating Armstrong for crimes reportedly including drug distribution, fraud and conspiracy, only to drop the case in 2012. Sources at the time said that agents had recommended an indictment against Armstrong. and could not understand why the case was suddenly dropped. Today, a high level source told ABC News, “Birotte does not speak for the federal government as a whole.” Armstrong had no immediate comment. In his much publicized interview with Oprah in January, Armstrong admitted he used PEDs and bullied people throughout his illustrious career. One of those he bullied, Betsy Andreu , said she was furious when she head his admission after all these years … she likely isn’t alone there.
The Gin Blossoms took to the stage this weekend in New York City and… wait, the Gin Blossoms still perform on concert? Their classic track, “Hey Jealousy,” no less?!? That shock aside, audience members were in for a scary surprise themselves when bassist Bill Leen collapsed toward the end of this performance. He was helped up by the stage manager and his condition was described as “exhaustion from the road,” and he was well enough to play against yesterday. A touching story this week out of Belgium, as two unnamed deaf twins were euthanized after realizing they were going blind and would therefore never see each other again. The 45-year olds were legally put to death at Brussels University on December 14, as Dr. David Dufour administered the injection and said the brothers were “very happy” at the end. “It was a relief to see the end of their suffering,” he said. Belgian law permitted physicians to take this extreme step in the face of mentally sound, adult patients who are “suffering,” even if their condition is not life-threatening. “They had a cup of coffee in the hall,” Dufour said of the twins’ final moments. “It went well and a rich conversation. Then the separation from their parents and brother was very serene and beautiful. At the last there was a little wave of their hands and then they were gone.”
Her illness made her climax up to 50 times in a row , and she took her own life just days after she’d reached out for help. According to Fox News … A woman recently profiled in the media about her rare sexual disorder – a condition that caused her to be continuously sexually aroused – was found dead after taking her own life Saturday, the Tampa Bay Times reported. Gretchen Molannen, 39, struggled with persistent genital arousal disorder for 16 years. The disorder causes women to be physically aroused, but not psychologically – which some doctors believe to be caused by malfunctioning nerves. According to the Times, deputies from the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suicide call at Molannen’s home in Spring Hill, Fla. late Saturday night. Officials did not provide any more details surrounding her death. Molannen had a history with attempted suicide, having tried to take her own life three times during the past year. She had been so affected by her condition, she was unable to hold steady employment for the past decade. It wasn’t until 2007, when she watched another woman talking about the condition on an episode of 20/20, that she realized what she had. The Times interviewed Molannen about her story in July and ran the finished article Friday. Typhoon Bopha smashed into the Philippines on Tuesday uprooting trees and power lines and forcing more than 40,000 people to cram into shelters to escape the strongest storm to hit the country this year. Three people were hit by falling trees and another person had a heart attack as the typhoon lashed Mindanao island in the south of the country, said civil defence chief Benito Ramos, adding that their condition was not known. One other person was reported missing on the central island of Leyte
She may be a hot mess, but at least Lindsay Lohan has a sense of humor. It’s back to the grind for the troubled actress, who was found unresponsive and treated by paramedics Friday after a 911 caller reported she was unconscious. Back on the set of her new movie Liz & Dick the same day, Lohan – whose rep said she suffered from exhaustion and dehydration – was laughing it off. “Note to self…” the 25-year-old actress Tweeted afterward. “After working 85 hours in 4 days, and being up all night shooting, be very aware that you might pass out from exhaustion & 7 paramedics MIGHT show up @ your door.” “Hopefully they’re cute. Otherwise it would be a real letdown.” Hopefully they were indeed. Well played, Lindsay Lohan . Her rep Steve Honig said that Lohan “was examined and is fine” and said her condition was due to her “grueling schedule” on set of the Lifetime movie. The troubled actress was rushed to an L.A. hospital Friday following a collision in her black Porsche along Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica. Her car slammed into the rear of an 18-wheeler at approximately noon local time, totaling her car in a mishap that TMZ described as a “bad car accident.” She apparently did not go to hospital via an ambulance and word on her condition is pending. A Witness told the website that Lohan was driving the car.
