Source: Handout / Getty Kanye Dropped A Bag On $14 Million Condo For Kim This Christmas According to TMZ , Kanye may have won husband of the year after it was revealed that he bought Kim an exclusive Miami Beach condo estimated at $14 million. The 18-story building is reportedly occupied by hedge fund super wealthy land developers. Kanye viewed the property on his own while in town for Art Basel without Kim knowing. The unit is reportedly 4,700 square feet with 4 bedrooms, 5 1/2 baths and an insanely large terrace. The building is tricked out with a gym, pool and spa. It was originally listed at $15.5 million.
Featured on the latest cover of Elle, Miley Cyrus makes a couple of stunning admissions. As first reported last week, the singer says she will stop walking on red carpets and posing for official photographs at events until the issue of world hunger is resolved. So, in other words, we won’t be seeing Miley on any red carpets any time soon. “Why, when people are starving, am I on a carpet that’s red? Because I’m ‘important’? Because I’m ‘famous’?” The short answer is yes. And one could argue that her posing on that red carpet actually helps employ photographers, who sell their pictures to magazines. If all celebrities took Miley’s approach, these photographers could be out of a job and become homeless, starving people themselves. But still. We can’t really fault in a celebrity acknowledging that there are far more important issues in the world than what dress she is wearing to some meaningless event. So: way to go, Miley! Elle has now gone ahead and released the full interview it conducted with Cyrus, with a focus of the Q&A centering on Miley’s life as the titular character on Hannah Montana. It was a dream role, she says. She starred on the Disney Channel series from 2007 through 2011. And only now does she realize just how ignorant she was about it at times. “I did not grow up spoiled in any way. I just wanted to be on TV. I mean, at one point – they’ll probably kill me for saying it – I was probably the least paid person on my cast because I didn’t know any better,” the actress tells the magazine. “I was just like, ‘I can be on Disney! Yeah, I want to do it!'” That really is pretty cute, isn’t it? And also pretty surprising: Miley was the lowest paid cast member on Hannah Montana?!? “My name was Miley on my show, but I didn’t own my name – we didn’t think about that,” she explains of her ad her family, adding: “Like, ‘Yeah, you can use my name on your show, sure!’ “My mom started understanding how many people take advantage of a child, so she hired smart people to protect me in that way. “I’m happy that when I was younger, people protected me and put me in a position where I can now control my music.” View Slideshow: Miley Cyrus Tattoos: Which is Your Favorite? Cyrus goes on to say that life in the spotlight was a challenge. She was just a teenager, yet she was analyzed and judged by everyone around here… and also everyone NOT around her, perfect strangers. “I was such an emotional person – I’m still such an emotional person – but I was trying to find out who I was,” she says. “You go through these stages, especially in our industry.” We can’t relate because we aren’t famous. But we can certainly sympathize with someone having to grow up so quickly and figure out who she is while an entire world is watching. “Paparazzi always made me really uncomfortable. You’re growing up and you look weird sometimes. My zits were all crazy; I’ve gone through some hair trauma,” Miley adds. “That’s how I started sticking out my tongue in pictures. Because I hate everyone being so serious.” Wow. Interesting. Miley Cyrus Refuses To Walk Anymore Red Carpets In the end, Miley waxes philosophical. “I was watching this documentary about dragonflies – they go from this crunchy little larva to this crazy dragonfly. So why can’t we do that? “If we’re so smart and so much better than all the animals, and man rules the world, why can’t we just change all the time from, like, a caterpillar to a butterfly?. “I just don’t think I’m doing enough – which everyone around me would kill me for saying, because I definitely can take it too far.” We love it. When Johnny Depp and Amber Heard reached a divorce settlement back in August, Heard responded with either a benevolent act of generosity or a brilliant PR stunt, depending on your perspective. The actress shocked the world when she announced she’d be donating her $7 million in spousal support to charity . Now, it’s looking like she probably should’ve held on to a few dollars. Last week, a rumor that Heard is now homeless began to circulate on social media. It seemed ridiculous that a woman who just a few months ago had access to Johnny Depp’s private island would suddenly find herself without a place to live, but now OK! magazine is confirming that Heard is indeed out on the street. But when we say “out on the street,” we mean in like a rich people way. Heard is currently in London filming the Justice League movie with Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, and a bunch of other people that DC is paying a whole lot of money to scowl. When she returns to LA, however, it seems Heard will be without a permanent residence. According to the terms of the split, Depp got to keep the condo that had served as his and Heard’s home in Los Angeles. Depp hasn’t been spending much time on the West Coast lately, but that doesn’t mean the place is vacant. A source tells OK! that Depp is allowing two of his friends to live in the condo for free. In exchange, they’re reportedly serving as “guard dogs” and preventing Heard from entering the property. “Right now, she’s pretty broke,” the insider claims. “And Johnny moved his friends into the condo they used to share.” The insider adds that Heard has several valuable belongings in the condo, but she’s not allowed inside, and Depp “refuses to send her anything.” No word on where Depp is staying these days, but it seems he’s lightening his load in terms of property. The actor put his place in the South of France up for sale before the divorce, and he recently put a five-penthouse condo that he owns on downtown LA on the market for $12.78 million. She’s already set to reprise her Justice League role in 2018’s Aquaman . Her salary has been kept under wraps, but industry analysts estimate that she’s pulling in seven figures for both roles. Everyone from Nicki Minaj and Selena Gomez to Bruce Springsteen has graced the stage with the pop darling in 2011. During a Miami tour stop last month, the singer brought Flo Rida onstage to perform his very blush-inducing track “Right Round.” And if you were surprised to hear about the collaboration, Flo told MTV News at Los Angeles’ Jingle Ball over the weekend that he was just as shocked. “I was in Australia. I got home, and I was actually staying in my condo for the day,” he explained. “And I looked down, ’cause my condo, it’s right across the street from the arena, and I was like, ‘I wonder who’s performing?’ So I went down there, spur-of-the-moment, and they told me it was Taylor.” Initially, Flo Rida just wanted a chance to catch the show, but when he spoke to her people, it turned into a whole different opportunity. “I spoke with them, and they asked me to perform,” he said. “And she was very nice and very humble. I had an amazing time. Her fans are over-the-top. It was crazy. Much love to Taylor Swift.” Swift wrapped up her tour in New York last month. During her Atlanta stop over the summer, she brought another rapper onstage with her: T.I. “I was pleasantly surprised and confused,” T.I. told MTV News of receiving the phone call from Swift. “I was confused because I know it’s a phenomenal opportunity, but being T.I. — the Rubberband Man — and Taylor Swift being America’s Sweetheart, I had just gotten out of prison, like, two days [earlier], and all of a sudden my phone rings.” While the hip-hop appearances on her tour might seem surprising, Swift assured us in October that she really loves the genre. “I’m a huge hip-hop fan, and it’s been so amazing to have so many incredible artists come out and to get to sing the hooks on their songs that I’ve been blasting in my car for the last couple years,” she said. “It’s been awesome. As we previously reported , Breezy recently splurged on some new digs in West Hollywood, spending $1.75 million for a 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom condo, but his neighbors have been complaining that he’s turned it into a party house. According to TMZ , Chris’ neighbors are accusing him of being utterly disrespectful, blasting loud music and partying day and night and even racing dogs down the hallways at all hours. And that’s not all. Police showed up this week, after someone vandalized the elevator by carving “C.B.” on the elevator door. “Chris Brown is a problematic tenant, to say the least,” the source says. “He has his posse traipsing around until the late hours of the night, he’s loud and totally disrespectful of his neighbors. He’s driving the other tenants in the building crazy.
