In the piece, she referred to herself as “a public figure representing domestic abuse.” Depp denies everything and is calling it an ‘calling it an elaborate hoax.’ The lawsuit states, “Ms. Heard purported to write from the perspective of ‘a public figure representing domestic abuse’ and claimed that she ‘felt the full force of our culture’s wrath for women who speak out’ when she ‘spoke up against sexual violence.’”Depp’s attorney acknowledges that she never mentions Depp by name, but says the entire article “depends on the central premise that Ms. Heard was a domestic abuse victim and that Mr. Depp perpetrated domestic violence against her.” Johnny Depp also claims to have proof that Amber Heard was spending some questionable time with Telsa founder Elon Musk during their short marriage in another report . Depp claims Heard received many “late night” visits from Musk at Depp’s residence and used the building’s personnel to facilitate the visits. He claims the “Aquaman” star asked the staff at the building to “give her ‘friend Elon’ access to the building’s parking garage and the penthouse elevator ‘late at night.’” Depp’s legal team claim they’ve deposed members from the building’s security team, and they testified to seeing Musk leaving the building the next morning after his alleged late night visits. Yikes, this divorce is MESSY messy. Do you think Depp will win his $50 Million against his ex?
Source: Jesse Grant / Getty Judge Grants Tisha Campbell Martin Temporary Restraining Order After Ex-Husband Duane Martin After Domestic Abuse Claims According to TMZ , Tisha Campbell-Martin claims her estranged husband (Duane Martin) has been abusive for years and that he flew into a violent rage just last month. The sitcom star filed for a restraining order against Duane, alleging he once “punched her in the chest with a closed fist”. She also says in December, Duane “grabbed me by my arm to try to get me in the bedroom.” She reportedly filed a police report in January about the multiple alleged physical altercations. Duane allegedly started physically, emotionally and mentally abusing Tisha as early as the beginning their marriage in 1996 and that he berated her about her weight and inability to land roles because of her bigger size. “I can no longer live in fear of retaliation … the need to press criminal charges for his acts overshadows the embarrassment of making his crimes against me public through this report.” she claims. A judge granted her a temporary restraining order that requires Duane to stay at least 100 yards away from her as they iron out the particulars of their divorce.
Reuben Foster was cut from the San Fransisco 49ers after abuse allegations surfaced from his ex-girlfriend Elissa Ennis. However, the player was quickly picked up by the Washington Redskins, despite the cloud of domestic abuse floating over him. In an interview with Robin Roberts, Elissa claims it was a figurative slap in the face to see the player picked up as if nothing had ever happened after he had attacked her so violently he ruptured her eardrum. It's been a long road for the Duggar clan from Tontitown, Arkansas. Over the past decade, we've watched Jim Bob, Michelle and kids go from the stars of a limited-run TLC documentary series to one of the most famous families in the history of reality TV. During that time, the family expanded (There was a time when they were a scant 16 kids and counting!) and endured some incredibly dark times. (The Josh Duggar sex scandals will rightfully never be forgotten.) Not surprisingly, the Duggars have changed as individuals as much as they've changed as a family since gaining fame. Check out the slideshow below for a trip down memory lane, and as always, you can watch Counting On online at TV Fanatic to get up to speed on what the Duggars are up to these days. 1. The Duggars in 2004 We guess khaki was really in that year. As for Michelle’s hair? There’s no explaining that. 2. Duggars in 2014 The Duggar family just a few short years ago. Much has changed, but some things never will. (Michelle’s hair still defies all logic.) 3. Michelle and Jim Bob: 2004 Michelle and Jim Bob back in the early days of them having way, way too many kids. Don’t worry, they went on to have many more. 4. Jim Bob and Michelle Today Jim Bob and Michelle have a slightly less atrocious fashion sense these days. Sadly, they’re 5. Josh and Anna Duggar on Their Wedding Day Josh and Anna in 2008. Things haven’t worked out all that well for these two. 6. Josh and Anna Today Somehow still married after YEARS of scandal! View Slideshow
Raven Gates’ ex-boyfriend Hunter Hayes has a bone to pick with the popular show, and it has nothing to do with The Bachelor spoilers . Well, unless you’re talking about his spoiled reputation as a man. Thanks to Raven’s claim that she’s never told a man she loves him, or had an orgasm (at all), Henry has become a subject of fascination. And hilariously, he’s calling out the show in an interview with Us . During Gates and Nick Viall’s fantasy-suite date on Monday’s episode, she told the Bachelor that she’s never said “I love you” to a man. Nor has she experienced, even once, what an orgasm feels like. Yes, this happened on national TV, making fans immediately wonder what the Hoxie, Arkansas, native’s ex-boyfriend Henry was doing. Or not doing, to be more accurate. They dated for two years! He was also discussed on an earlier episode in which Gates alleged that while they were dating, she caught him banging another woman. At that point, Raven said, she attacked her beau with a high-heeled shoe, an image that brings a smile to our face (cheating aside). Hunter’s definitely not among those laughing about it, however. “Comments made by Raven about our relationship are skewed and untrue,” Henry tells the website. “However, I wish her all the best.” “Definitely not true about the whole orgasm thing,” he adds. Sure man. You just keep telling yourself that okay? “And she has told me she loved me multiple times,” says Hunter, who’s in the running for Worst BF of the 2010s honors, “just for the record.” Anyone buying what Henry is selling here? Would The Bachelor actually invent wholesome, sweet Raven Gates’ “secret” as a storyline? Actually, they very well might, come to think of it … We put nothing past Mike Fleiss and company, though at the same time it feels hard to believe Raven would go out and lie like that. Right? Or would she do that if they told her to? In any case, Bachelor Nation fans have been fascinated by Gates’ claim that she has never climaxed from any sort of sexual activity. After the episode aired, a GoFundMe account popped up online seeking to raise money to buy the 25-year-old boutique owner a vibrator. An altruistic endeavor if ever there were one. Raven is one of Viall’s final three ladies, along with Vanessa Grimaldi and Rachel Lindsay, after he eliminated Corinne Olympios Monday. (We imagine Corinne and her platinum vagine have had about 14 orgasms, manually and/or with the aid of someone else, since then.) It was during Gates’ overnight date with Nick that the topic of the Big O came up, and Viall was at a loss for words like the rest of us. Gates had just come out of a bad breakup with Hunter Henry (never trust a dude with two first names) when she applied for the show. She says she’s slept with only him (and apparently, he didn’t do a very good job of it), before meeting and building up their great chemistry. Whether that’s enough to get her the final rose over Vanessa (we know Rachel is out) remains to be seen, along with any orgasmic action. Monday’s episode left off with a mini-cliffhanger. Raven ultimately accepted Nick’s invitation to the Fantasy Suite, where she met up with Viall and his uncomfortable looking turtleneck. Did he ditch said sweater and become THE ONE to take Raven to the Oh-Zone for the first time in her life on that hot night in Finland? Bachelor Nation can only hope. Jane Fonda is a remarkable woman. From her support to the civil rights movement in the 1960s to her involvement with several feminists causes to, let’s be real, her iconic workout videos, she’s been an inspiration to many. And in this new interview with the also amazing Brie Larson , Jane is really just taking our appreciation of her to an entire new level. Jane, who turns 80 this year, kicked things off by giving some real talk about feminism — particularly about the struggles of growing up as a woman so many years ago. “I grew up in the ’50s,” she explains, “and it took me a long time to apply feminism to my life. The men in my life were wonderful, but victims of a [patriarchal] belief system. I felt diminished.” She says that the first time she truly felt she was a feminist was when she saw Eve Ensler do a performance of The Vagina Monologues — which would have been in the mid 90s at the earliest. “It took a long time” for her to call herself a feminist though, “because I was brought up with the disease to please.” She went on to say, and this is where things really take an intense turn, that “To show you the extent to which a patriarchy takes a toll on females; I’ve been raped, I’ve been sexually abused as a child and I’ve been fired because I wouldn’t sleep with my boss and I always thought it was my fault.” “That I didn’t do or say the right thing.” “I know young girls,” she says, “who’ve been raped and didn’t even know it was rape. They think, ‘It must have been because I said ‘no’ the wrong way.'” “One of the great things the women’s movement has done is to make us realize that [rape and abuse] is not our fault. We were violated and it’s not right.” This is the first time Jane’s ever publicly said that she’s been raped — after so many years of speaking up for women’s rights , it must have taken a lot for her to share this. It’s not the only thing she shared though. She also discussed her controversial opposition to the Vietnam War. “I didn’t become an activist until I was 31,” she says. “When I found out what was really happening in Vietnam I didn’t care if I ever worked again; I considered leaving the business to become a full-time activist.” She recalls that “My father was terrified for me. He remembered the ’50s when people’s careers were destroyed.” Jane even adds that, with Trump as president, “It’s possible the [Hollywood] blacklist will be brought back.” And on the topic of Trump, she says that there are many battles to be fought, including but certainly not limited to the fight against defunding Planned Parenthood . About being an activist for so many years, she says “Honey, I am almost 80 years old. If you want to make it to the long-haul, you have to take care of yourself.” “I get more than eight hours sleep every night; I meditate twice a day for half an hour; I eat right; I workout.” “I always tell activists: ‘This is going to be a long struggle. We have to stay strong.” Yes, Jane Fonda. Just … yes. View Slideshow: 19 Celebrities Who Were Victims of Domestic Abuse
Doesn’t it seem like years and years since Amber Heard filed for divorce from Johnny Depp, citing Johnny’s alleged violent tendencies as the reason she couldn’t stay married to him? It hasn’t been years, of course — it’s just been about seven months — but the messiness really drags things out, doesn’t it? In late May of last year, just a few days after Johnny’s mother passed away, Amber left him . At the time, it was a little confusing, because who would be so low to file for divorce during a time that’s so heartbreaking anyway? But then, just a few days after she filed, Amber went back to court to request a restraining order against Johnny because, according to her testimony, he’d been physically abusive. The next couple of months were particularly nasty, with photos and text message exchanges and videos leaked to support Amber’s claims , and with almost no one believing them. Apparently it was very hard for people to believe that Johnny Depp, very famous actor and attractive human being, was capable of such violence. In August, they finally settled things : Amber withdrew her request for a permanent restraining order as well as the domestic violence charges, and Johnny agreed to pay her $7 million. So it was all over then, right? No more drama, no more legal issues, everything was good. … Not so fast, y’all! The drama continued for a good while longer: reports began surfacing that the divorce left Amber so broke that she was homeless , and though Amber said she was donating her entire settlement to charity, when Johnny donated the money directly, things got ugly. And, as it turns out, the divorce wasn’t even finalized. During all this time, Johnny and Amber remained legally married. But, as of last night, that changed, And today, those two finally woke up single for the first time in years. However, things weren’t quite that simple. They never are with these two. Amber wanted to delay the finalization so that her legal team could take a deposition from Johnny, but the judge said no, hush, this is over. Johnny wanted Amber to pay $100,000 for dragging things out, but the judge said no, hush, this is over. And finally, Amber asked that Johnny be forced to pay her legal fees, but — you guessed it — the judge said no, hush, this is over. Both of them had to pay for their own legal fees. To celebrate the finalization of the divorce, they also went ahead and officially divided up their assets yesterday. Amber got the dogs, Pistol and Boo, a horse named Arrow, and two cars, a classic Mustang and a new Range Rover. Johnny got to keep all the real estate, and there were also 42 more vehicles between them, so he got to keep all those, too. So far, he’s paid $200,000 of the $7 million settlement. He’s been ordered to pay Amber another million in the next few days and another in February. He’ll give her one more million dollar batch in May, then 1.5 million in August, before finishing things up big with a 2.3 million dollar payment next February. Johnny’s lawyer released a statement on his behalf, saying that “We are all pleased to put this unpleasant chapter in Mr. Depp and his family’s lives behind them.” “Having his request for entry of dissolution judgment granted today made it a particularly lucky Friday the 13th.” And Amber’s lawyer got extra dramatic, stating “It’s a great day. All Amber wanted was a divorce and now she has it. In the words of Gerald Ford, ‘Our long national nightmare is over.'” We’re not sure if that quote really fits the situation, but congrats to both Amber and Johnny on finally closing this ugly, ugly chapter.
