WELP: Kevin Hart DROPPED From Oscars Hosting Gig After Refusing To Apologize For Old Homophobic Tweets

Source: Daniel Zuchnik/Getty Images / Getty Kevin Hart Ousted As Oscars Host Over Old Tweets Kevin Hart is OUT as host of the 91st Academy Awards ceremony because of his refusal to apologize for old tweets. The comedian seemed elated to have been confirmed as the host of the February 2019 ceremony earlier this week, but things got a bit shaky for him on Thursday afternoon when old tweets and jokes of him speaking negatively about homosexuality resurfaced: I wonder when Kevin Hart is gonna start deleting all his old tweets pic.twitter.com/ZbYG6SI3Xm — Benjamin Lee (@benfraserlee) December 5, 2018 Kevin scrambled to delete the tweets in question (this is only a handful of the offenders), but it appears the damage is done. The funnyman took to his Twitter and Instagram to talk about hoe little time he had for all the animosity coming his way over the old tasteless jokes… But Kevin CLEARLY saw all the negativity he claimed to have been dodging because he popped up a few hours later with THIS to say about all the “negative people” who seem to be so angry about his past (undeleted for some strange reason) tweets and old outlook on homosexuality: And when it came to the Academy, it seemed that Kevin drew the line at apologizing for his old offensive statements. Even though the tweets are brand new news to a large sector of the population that will be watching the Oscars next February, Kevin felt that he’s made all the apologies he’ll ever make for saying the things he has, so the committee can simply find another host if that’s how they feel: Still, Kevin came back and apologized later in the evening, stating that he had made the decision to step down (even though he previously said he had been dropped from the gig) so as not to be a distraction on the big night. I have made the choice to step down from hosting this year's Oscar's….this is because I do not want to be a distraction on a night that should be celebrated by so many amazing talented artists. I sincerely apologize to the LGBTQ community for my insensitive words from my past. — Kevin Hart (@KevinHart4real) December 7, 2018 I'm sorry that I hurt people.. I am evolving and want to continue to do so. My goal is to bring people together not tear us apart. Much love & appreciation to the Academy. I hope we can meet again. — Kevin Hart (@KevinHart4real) December 7, 2018 Sheesh. Well it seems like we won’t be getting Kevin as a host this year. Seeing as how he “re-apologized” later on anyway, do you think he simply should have apologized when the Academy first asked and held on to his position as host? Daniel Zuchnik/Getty Images

Redskins Player Rueben Foster’s Allegedly Abused Ex-Girlfriend Says It Was A “Slap In The Face” When He Was Signed To The Team [Video]

Reuben Foster was cut from the San Fransisco 49ers after abuse allegations surfaced from his ex-girlfriend Elissa Ennis. However, the player was quickly picked up by the Washington Redskins, despite the cloud of domestic abuse floating over him. In an interview with Robin Roberts, Elissa claims it was a figurative slap in the face to see the player picked up as if nothing had ever happened after he had attacked her so violently he ruptured her eardrum. Source: Miller Mobley / Miller Mobley With her anticipated memoir  Becoming hitting book stores next Tuesday, Michelle Obama  has launched her national tour on Friday, showing America a more personal and candid side of herself. In an upcoming interview with ABC’s Good Morning   Robin Roberts , she opens about her past fertility issues and a devastating miscarriage she experienced 20 years ago. “I felt lost and alone and I felt like I failed, because I didn’t know how common miscarriages were because we don’t talk about them,” Obama, 54, said. “We sit in our own pain, thinking that somehow we’re broken,” adding, “So, that’s one of the reasons why I think it’s important to talk to young mothers about the fact that miscarriages happen, and the biological clock is real.” Adding, “I think it’s the worst thing that we do to each other as women, not share the truth about our bodies and how they work, and how they don’t work.” This is the first time Mrs. Obama has publicly spoken about her fertility issues. . @MichelleObama opens up to @RobinRoberts in revealing new interview; says she felt “lost and alone” after suffering miscarriage 20 years ago. When asked why she shared that part of her life with the public, Obama stressed that she wanted for people to understand the work that couples need to do in order to stay together. “For those young people out there who think that marriage is supposed to be easy. And marriage counseling for us was one of those ways that we learned to talk out our differences,” she said. “I want them to know that Michelle and Barack Obama who have a phenomenal marriage and who love each other, we work on our marriage, and we get help with our marriage when we need it.” In addition, she described falling in love with Mr Obama one summer night in Chicago. “As soon as I allowed myself to feel anything for Barack,” she writes, “the feelings came rushing – a toppling blast of lust, gratitude, fulfillment, wonder.” Swoon. Source: Mark Wilson / Getty Mrs. Obama also had some choice words about President Trump in her book, stressing that she will never forgive him for starting the Birther Movement, which questioned the citizenship of her husband, the first Black president of the United States. “The whole [birther] thing was crazy and mean-spirited, of course, its underlying bigotry and xenophobia hardly concealed,” she wrote. “What if someone with an unstable mind loaded a gun and drove to Washington? What if that person went looking for our girls? Donald Trump, with his loud and reckless innuendos, was putting my family’s safety at risk. And for this I’d never forgive him.” People took to Twitter to commend Michelle Obama for being so candid and open about her life. “One of the worst things we do as women is not share the truth about our bodies, and how they work.” I am so grateful Black women, like Michelle Obama and Serena Williams, are being so honest about the barriers many people face to become parents. https://t.co/0Co4bZ82Qa — Evette Dionne (@freeblackgirl) November 9, 2018 Michelle Obama. Prince Michael Jackson Gives Rare TV Interview: WATCH!

In the years since Michael Jackson passed away in 2009, his eldest son, Prince Michael Jackson, has mostly kept a low profile. These days, Prince is trying his hand at acting and stepping behind the camera to direct music videos for up-and-coming artists, but it's his work with an important organization inspired by his father's generous spirit that got him to sit down with Robin Roberts on GMA this morning. Prince has started an organization called Heal LA, it's name inspired by his father's song “Heal the World.” He describes the group's endeavors in the clip below: “We have partnered with a charity called 'A Sense of Home,' which supports foster kids who have aged out of the system in a sort of preempt against homelessness because it's very hard to get on your feet once you've gotten out of the system,” Jackson says. Though his main reason for giving the interview was to promote Heal LA, but also took time to offer some insights into his feelings toward his iconic father. Asked for his favorite video from the King of Pop, Prince answered: “Personally I love 'Moonwalker,' and I know it's kind of an easy way out — it's so many different videos into one — but if I had to pick one specific, I would choose 'Smooth Criminal,” Asked how his father would feel about his kids' career choices, Prince answered: “As we were growing up my dad always said, 'I really don't care what you do in life, as long as you're happy doing it and you're the best at what you do. If you want to be a janitor at a high school, you should be the best janitor that you can be.'” Watch the full interview below:
