Most women of a certain age have a period. It's totally normal and natural , nothing to be ashamed of. But still, even though it's just a regular old bodily function, some shame persists. To combat that monthly stigma, a yoga instructor named Steph Gongora has shared a video of herself in which she's wearing white pants and doing a routine on her period — but without wearing anything to stop the bleeding. “I am a woman, therefore, I bleed,” she explains in the caption of the video. “It's messy, it's painful, it's terrible, & it's beautiful.” She writes that while it's normal , it's still something that women try to hide. But unfortunately, many women don't have the privilege to hide it as well as others. “Over 100 million young women around the globe miss school or work for lack of adequate menstrual supplies, & fear of what might hapen if the world witnesses A NATURAL BODILY FUNCTION,” she says. She urged women to “stop pretending,” to stop using cutesy names for a period “because you're too afraid to say 'I'm bleeding' or 'vagina.'” “Educate your daughters,” she goes on. “Make them understand that it can be both an inconvenience and a gift, but NEVER something to be ashamed about.” “Educate your sons so they don't recoil from the word tampon. So when a girl bleeds through her khaki shorts in third period (pun intended), the don't perpetuate the cycle of shame and intolerance.” Watch Steph in action in the video below:

Apprentice Producers Reveal Donald Trump Insulted Khloe Kardashian Donald Trump has a lot of opinions on the physical appearance of women — and even more interesting ones on the best way to court them . Now, Apprentice producers are revealing that he had some slick isht to say about Khloe Kardashian while he was appearing on his show years ago…and hit her with the “you’re fired!” because of it. Rather than firing her based on poor performance or as a result of any other faux pas…Donald apparently searched for a reason to get rid of her because he was just plain tired of looking at her. Via Huffington Post : According to sources on the show, Trump complained to producers about Kardashian’s looks and itched to have her removed from the show. “He basically wanted to just get rid of her,” an editor on the show recalled. “He called her a ‘piglet.’” The editor said that Trump asked: “What is this? We can’t even get the hot one?” ― in reference to Kardashian’s sister, Kim. A second source at “The Apprentice” confirmed the incident, using similar words to describe what Trump said about the Kardashians. “He said: ‘Why don’t we fire Khloe? She is a fat piglet. Why did we get the ugly Kardashian?’” A third source, another editor, recalled the firing as being notable because of how personal Trump made it. “When they fired [her], it wasn’t on merit,” the editor said. “It was on him not liking her.” The editor said that Trump went to the staff and asked: “What’s the reason we can get her off [the show]?” Odd, since he seemed to have a lot of negative isht to say about Kim, too . Teen Vogue Hires The Youngest And First Black Editor-In-Chief Ever Teen Vogue has just made some history making news reports NBC News : A historic change-up at Condé Nast: Teen Vogue’s former editor-in-chief Amy Astley has been replaced by Elaine Welteroth, the media group announced Thursday. Welteroth becomes the first African-American to hold the position at the fashion magazine, and the youngest editor-in-chief in Condé Nast history. This is not the first time Welteroth has made headlines, having also served as Teen Vogue’s first African-American beauty director since 2012. Only the second Black editor-in-chief at large in the history of Condé Nast, Welteroth’s experience traces back to Glamour magazine from 2011 to 2012, where she advanced from Beauty writer to Senior Beauty Editor, and her role as the Beauty and Style editor of Ebony magazine from 2008 to 2011. As the youngest person to hold her new title at age 29, Welteroth is joined by two other editors – an unprecedented move for the magazine.
