Despicable Me 2 Trailer: Minions Unite!

The bad news: Despicable Me 2 does not arrive until 2013. The good news: Steve Carell and his minions are already back is the trailer! The original earned $540 million in 201o, not shabby for the first CGI feature produced by Universal, and the first feature film by Illumination Entertainment. If this first taste is any indication, Despicable Me 2 looks like it should be just as big a hit: Despicable Me 2 Trailer

Taylor Lautner Speaks on Abduction, Growing Up

Taylor Lautner has never been more excited than he is right now. These are the actor’s exact words, as expressed to our friends at Movie Fanatic, when asked about the September 23 opening of Abduction , Lautner’s first feature role since Twilight . “This movie was very different than anything I’d done before,” Taylor said. “It was challenging. I knew it would challenge me and that’s why I was attracted to do it. But it was a lot of fun. Breaking Dawn right after that was even more challenging. My character goes through so much in the first installment of the last two movies. So I’m definitely growing and I couldn’t have done it alone.” What about working with rumored girlfriend Lily Collins? Lautner says he “can’t wait for people to see” the young actress in the film. Sir Patrick Stewart On Dorothy of Oz, Captain Picard’s Legacy, and His Favorite Scene

There are few actors who have earned as much geek cred and devoted followings as Sir Patrick Stewart , and certainly none others who were also performing Shakespeare on stage in the U.K. the night before flying across the world to greet fans at Comic-Con . (If only one could achieve warp speed on commercial airlines these days, international travel would be much easier.) So, of course, Movieline jumped at the chance for a few minutes in heaven with the erstwhile Captain Picard; what more perfect a Comic-Con experience could there be?

VIDEO: Steve Carell Wants His Head to Look Huge on Crazy Stupid Love Posters

Ever wonder why some actors appear comically oversized next to their castmates on movie posters? It could have something to do with each actors’ popularity, billing or — as evidenced by a new Funny or Die video featuring Steve Carell — strict contractual demands. Watch the former Office star fight for prime positioning on the Crazy Stupid Love poster (“Would you rather see Ryan Gosling’s face or mine?”) based on an argument that involves pancakes, Seth Rogen and hilarious never-before-seen artwork for Carell’s first feature, Curly Sue .
