State Of The Misogyny: Joe Budden’s FURY Vs. Scottie Beam’s Feminist Stance Has Twitter Arguing Into The Ashy Abyss

(Photos by Johnny Nunez/WireImage) Joe Budden Got SUPER Mad At Scottie Beam For Not Hating Another Woman? Is this where “the culture” is??? Joe Budden has rehashed the gender war of Twitter because he can’t get jiggy with feminism. The decamped rapper and his colleagues were discussing Brittany Renner on their web show, and things turned all the way left after his cohost Scottie Beam stated that she didn’t “hate” Renner over her tell-all book . In fact, Beam sounded indifferent over Brittany Renner’s tell-all book because people have been doing it for YEARS on pages and in music. Like recently, Quavo detailed sex with Nicki Minaj and no one even FLINCHED. But Joe Budden seemingly wanted Beam to degrade Renner on camera and when she didn’t, he blew hookah smoke all the way down her throat! Here’s the clip for “State of The Culture”, where Joe called Scottie a man-hater for not “hating” another woman. Is he for real? Just gonna leave this here and go. pic.twitter.com/gCicbB8SZK — Joe Budden (@JoeBudden) October 28, 2018 Of course, Joe’s stance drummed up all of the woman-hating fans that hang off his balls. Like Freddie Gibbs , who blindly agreed with him. Then, Gibbs swore at another woman who called the cyber chest-bumping sexist… I’m sick of it lol — Joe Budden (@JoeBudden) October 28, 2018 Freddie tells the lady to “shut the f*ck up”. Sounds like a nice guy, right? Dozens of comments like this from other men appear in the thread, SMH. With all due respect my dear shut the fuck up. I been fuckin with this nigga Joe since he was a rapper, lol. My love for him has nothing to do with this post. — Freddie Gibbs (@FreddieGibbs) October 28, 2018 But a few folks were up in arms for Scottie Beam, who couldn’t even get a word out at her own job. Hit the flip to see how folks are reacting to this “fake feminist” argument brought forth by “the culture”. It gets nasty!

Freddie Gibbs Is Tough Candidate For Hottest Breakthrough MC

Gangsta Gibbs’ mixtapes earned him a deal with Young Jeezy and a spot on MTV News’ 2011 Hottest Breakthrough list — vote now! By Nadeska Alexis Freddie Gibbs Photo: Getty Images/ MTV News When Freddie Gibbs joined Sway on “RapFix Live” in September, the Gary, Indiana, native was firm in insisting that he would never stray from the deeply lyrical gangster rap that fans now expect from him. His recent deal with Young Jeezy ‘s CTE label bolstered his efforts and kept the spotlight on his releases this year, earning him a nomination for MTV News’ Hottest Breakthrough MC of 2011 . Despite a fizzled deal with Interscope Records in 2007, Gibbs (born Frederick Tipton) continued his rise to lyrical prominence by dropping popular mixtapes, including 2009’s The Miseducation of Freddie Gibbs and Midwestgangstaboxframecadillacmuzik . The success of those two mixtapes landed him a spot on XXL ‘s 2010 Freshman cover, but that was only the beginning for Gangsta Gibbs. The 29-year-old rapper continued his manic music run, releasing the independent EP Str8 Killa No Filla via Decon Records in 2010, and in April he made his biggest career move thus far, inking a new deal with Young Jeezy’s CTE (Corporate Thugz Entertainment). Besides teaming up with the Snowman on singles like “Run DMC” and “Do It for You,” Gibbs put in some extra time in the lab, turning out his mixtape Cold Day in Hell in October. The project showcased his growth, with standout cuts including “Anything to Survive” and “Menace II Society” and a slew of guest features from Freeway, Jeezy, Juicy J and 2 Chainz. Major label or not, don’t expect Gibbs to soften the content of his material anytime soon. “I wanna be taboo. I want your parents to not want my music in your iPod,” Gibbs told MTV News. “I want your mom to be scared of what I’m talking about because it’s so real.” His fellow contenders for Hottest Breakthrough MC should probably be scared too. Hottest Breakthrough MCs was established by MTV News in 2010 as a fan-driven initiative that spotlights, celebrates and cultivates new talent. MTV News chose a pool of young rappers and urged fans to vote for their favorite. When it was all said and done, Wiz Khalifa emerged as the Hottest Breakthrough of last year. The competition was tough, but the Taylor Gang General beat out runner-up Nicki Minaj, ATL group Travis Porter, Diggy Simmons and J. Cole. This year, you can vote for Machine Gun Kelly (or your favorite up-and-comer) over at RapFix.MTV.com , and be sure to check back for daily updates and poll results. Each day, we’ll spotlight a new Hottest Breakthrough MC before we conclude on December 13 when the polls close at 11:59 p.m. ET. The 2011 Hottest Breakthrough MC will be revealed during December 14’s “RapFix Live,” during which the winner will appear as our in-studio guest. There will also be a special announcement about MTV News’ upcoming Hottest MCs in the Game list and debate. To be considered a Hottest Breakthrough MC, an artist cannot have released a major-label full-length album. Finalists from 2010’s Hottest Breakthrough MCs poll will not be eligible for 2011 consideration, so unfortunately, Diggy Simmons and Travis Porter won’t be part of this conversation. Who do you think should be 2011 Hottest Breakthrough MC? Share your picks in the comments! Stick with MTV News as we profile the 2011 Hottest Breakthrough MCs before announcing the winner December 13 on “RapFix Live” — vote now! Freddie Gibbs Wants ‘Your Mom To Be Scared’ Of Him

‘I want your parents to not want my music in your iPod,’ Gangsta Gibbs says on ‘RapFix Live.’ By Rob Markman, with reporting Sway Calloway Freddie Gibbs Photo: MTV News If you ask Freddie Gibbs , rap just isn’t what it used to be. With a style influenced by acts like the Geto Boys , N.W.A. and 50 Cent , Gangsta Gibbs paints vivid street tales, but these days, that brand of rap seems to have taken a back seat to a softer, less menacing sound. “Rap lost its edge man. I don’t wanna be a part of what’s been goin’ on in the past five years,” Gibbs told Sway when he appeared as a guest on this week’s “RapFix Live.” “I wanna be taboo. I want your parents to not want my music in your iPod. I want your mom to be scared of what I’m talking about because it’s so real,” he said. Originally signed by Interscope in 2005, Gibbs struggled to get the label to see his vision and was eventually released from his deal in October 2007. But in ’09, Freddie proved that there was room for his brand of music. With the release of his The Miseducation of Freddie Gibbs and midwestgangstaboxframecadillacmuzik mixtapes, Gibbs made fans take notice. His grind paid off. By 2010, Freddie had earned himself a spot on XXL magazine’s Freshmen cover. He went on to drop the independent release, Str8 Killa No Filla on Decon Records. In April, the Midwest MC made his biggest move yet when he inked with Young Jeezy’s CTE (Corporate Thugz Entertainment). Since the signing, Jeezy and Gibbs have released quite a few songs together, including their hustle ode “Run DMC,” “Do It for You” and “Rough,” a song off of the Snowman’s latest mixtape, The Real Is Back 2. These days — maybe more than ever before — hip-hop is diverse with a broad pop appeal. But rough-around-the-edges Gibbs finds inspiration in groups like Houston’s Geto Boys, who rapped unabashedly about street life in the ’90s. “That’s how it was when I was getting my first Geto Boys tape, my mom ain’t want that in my tape deck. So I want your parents to be afraid of what I’m doing.” Are you a Freddie Gibbs fan? Tell us why in the comments below!
