So sweet we might have a gotten a cavity just from witnessing! Kim Kardashian posted up a photo collage of all her sweet memories with baby daddy Kanye West in honor of his 36th birthday. And if we haven’t heard enough affirmations that she’s over the moon in love with him, she tweeted for the whole world to see, “Happy Birthday to my best friend, the love of my life, my soul!!!! I love you beyond words!” The couple have been going strong since their friendship turned romantic last April and reached even greater heights after announcing they were expecting a baby during one of his concerts this December. According to US Weekly reports : On June 2, West was on hand to fete Kardashian at her baby shower, and as Us Weekly exclusively reported, gifted her with vintage copies of the children’s Bible books her late father used to read aloud to her and a Hermes diaper bag. After their baby daughter is born in July, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star will be joining West on his European tour with their new addition. “This was always the plan,” a source explained to Us. The weekend won’t be without work for West since Sunday, June 9, he’ll be one of the headlining performers at the Governors Ball Music Festival on Randall’s Island in New York City. Wonder if Kim will be whipping up some fried chicken tonight like last week’s feast? Hit the flip if you forgot what her soul food cooking looks like.

This reaction quote just in from Gary Oldman, a deserving first-time Oscar nominee for Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy : “This afternoon in Berlin I have learned that I was nominated for an Academy Award in the category of Best Actor. You may have heard this before, but it has never been truer than it is for me today, it is extremely humbling, gratifying, and delightful to have your work recognized by the Academy, and to join the celebrated ranks of previous nominees and colleagues. Amazing.” Meanwhile, how is viciously smacked-down Oscar snubbee Albert Brooks doing? Brooks elaborated via Twitter, naturally: I got ROBBED. I don’t mean the Oscars, I mean literally. My pants and shoes have been stolen. Tue Jan 24 14:49:56 via HootSuite Albert Brooks AlbertBrooks And to the Academy: “You don’t like me. You really don’t like me.” Tue Jan 24 15:04:56 via HootSuite Albert Brooks AlbertBrooks There you go: Oscar 2012, catch the fever! It’s probably dysentery, but fever nonetheless.

Thanks to the wonders of Twitter, we already know how Albert Brooks feels about this morning’s brutal Oscar-nomination snub. But how is the rest of the Academy’s snubculture faring? We may never know entirely, but at least their unofficial ambassador Patton Oswalt has the fan-fiction angle covered — and it sounds like this group has the Governors Ball beat. Join me for a drink at The Drawing Room, @AlbertBrooks ? Me and Serkis have been here since 6am. Might be out of booze — Serkis has Pogues on the jukebox & Fassbender just showed up in a pirate hat. New York Times critic Manohla Dargis today flings a lifesaver into the tsunami of bile otherwise known as the Oscar Aftermath, suggesting to readers that maybe you just had to be there for the show to have any real significance. She was, after all, attending her first Oscars ever — walking the red carpet, hitting the Governors Ball, the whole deal. And despite the preordained showing of The King’s Speech and James Franco’s half-assed hosting (perceptible even from the cheap seats, Dargis affirms), there is cause for optimism about this most beaten of dead horses.

Andrew Breitbart speaks with National Review Online in Madison: Breitbart led a large rally this afternoon at the state capital. This is just getting ridiculous: AMPAS issued a statement late Tuesday announcing that stroppy New Wave pioneer Jean-Luc Godard had not only sent a handwritten reply to news of his honorary Oscar win, but an acknowledgment that “schedule permitting, he would come to Los Angeles for the November 13 Governors Awards event.” Schedule permitting! Who’s he kidding? He probably booked that day for Hyundai maintenance weeks ago. [ Deadline ]
