Rashida Jones Directs New Sexual Harassment PSA for Time’s Up, Narrated By Donald Glover

Source: Xilla Valentine / GlobalGrind Time’s Up just released a new PSA, and it’s narrated by  Donald Glover  and directed by  Rashida Jones . The 3-minute animated video was created from Blue Seat Studios’ 2015 “Tea Consent” film, which demonstrates everything you need to know about sexual consent. Blue Seat animated the PSA, while founder Rachel Brian wrote it. During the short, Glover discusses what is and isn’t suitable in a work environment. “Has the current wave of sexual allegations left you scared, confused? Maybe even a little angry? Is the culture shifting under your feet so fast, you can’t make sense of it? Or do you simply not know how to behave at work anymore?” he questions during the introduction, before later outlining four frequently asked questions about harassment. The video is literally overflowing with dry humor, and the punchline at the end takes the cake. Donald quips, “If you’re still confused, please check out our website: http://www.dontpullyourd ***outatwork.obviously,” before then offering the actual website link,  http://www.timesupnow.com . Check the PSA out on  Buzzfeed  here.

James Harden Makes History, Goes Home With His First NBA MVP Award

Source: Tim Warner / Getty Rockets star  James Harden  is officially the NBA’s 2017-18 MVP. His spot at the top has felt like the general consensus among fans for a while now, but it didn’t become cemented until Harden was announced as the MVP during the  NBA Awards  on Monday night. This is the point guard’s first MVP award, despite finishing second twice in his career before. Beyond that, his win marked a first in NBA history. Harden’s former Thunder teammate,  Russell Westbrook , was the NBA MVP winner in the 2016-17 season, while his other former teammate,  Kevin Durant , won MVP for the 2013-14 season. All three players were drafted by the Thunder in consecutive seasons — which makes the first time three different players drafted by a franchise in consecutive years have been named MVP. After believing he should have won Most Valuable Player last year but coming away empty-handed, Harden chose not to prepare a speech this time– So when the  Rockets  star finished off an amazing season by walking away with the game’s top individual honor, he was most definitely flabbergasted. He goes on to deliver a speech, honoring his mother whom he calls his, “backbone.” “She's my backbone..” @JHarden13 thanks his mom for being there every step of the way as he accepts the #KiaMVP award! #ThisIsWhyWePlay #NBAAwards pic.twitter.com/Zw8Yd7whT9 — NBA (@NBA) June 26, 2018 James Harden was the league’s scoring champ, averaging 30.4 points while leading the Rockets to a franchise-record 65 victories. He was the fourth player to average at least 30 points per game and help lead his team to 65 wins, joining the likes of Stephen Curry ,  Michael Jordan  (twice) and  Kareem Abdul-Jabbar . Celebrities Slam Tender Age Shelters For Migrant Kids Separated From Their Families

Source: John Moore / Getty Once again, policies under the Trump administration are sending chills up people’s spines. According to The Associated Press , officials from his administration have been detaining babies and other young children forcibly separated from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border. The kids are being sent to at least three “tender age” shelters in South Texas. A fourth one is also planned for Houston, and it would hold up to 240 children in a warehouse previously meant for people displaced by Hurricane Harvey. Lawyers and medical providers have visited some of the shelters and described them as “play rooms of crying preschool-age children in crisis.” “Children are biologically programmed to grow best in the care of a parent figure,” said Alicia Lieberman, who runs the Early Trauma Treatment Network at University of California, San Francisco. “When that bond is broken through long and unexpected separations with no set timeline for reunion, children respond at the deepest physiological and emotional levels.” The separations come after the White House announced its zero tolerance policy in early May. U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions said that the U.S. government would criminally prosecute everyone who crosses the U.S.-Mexico border illegally. Children would then be separated from their family and be sent into “government care.”  Since the announcement of the policy, more than 2,300 children have been separated from their parents at the U.S.-Mexico border. The United Nations, some Democratic and Republican lawmakers, and religious groups have slammed the separation policy, calling it inhumane. Images of some children in cages inside U.S. Border Patrol processing stations have rocked people to their core. Even news anchor Rachel Maddow , who usually keeps it together on air, broke down when trying to reveal the news of tender age shelters. Hashtags like #KeepFamiliesTogether have gained traction and folks have been posting links on how to fight the separation actions. Swipe through to peep some celebrity and Twitter reactions.

Source: Getty / Getty The news of Anthony Bourdain’s death shocked food lovers and fans everywhere.   But Bourdain’s brand is so brolic that his Black fan base was probably larger than any other YT American chef. Bourdain made the hood believe we could travel anywhere. I’m saddened by his departure — Phonetic Justice (@JoyAnjelica) June 8, 2018 Let’s be real — you would never catch Gordon Ramsey or Paula Dean in the Bronx with Desus & Mero, eating at hole in the wall spots while talking about hip hop. completely forgot how wild it was that bourdain had desus on the show when i did not know what desus looked like because he was just a funny guy from twitter back then pic.twitter.com/CalwizHjth — diary of a fit daddy (@fatmanatee) June 8, 2018 desus and anthony bourdain in one picture, my life is complete i can die happily now pic.twitter.com/t4JAOjf07b — left eye loud (@loudathelurker) January 9, 2017 Remember when he pulled up in H-Town to look at whips with Slim Thug: When Anthony Pulled up in Houston #RIPAnthony pic.twitter.com/Xz80KL3Doy — War Dog (@The__Tactician) June 8, 2018 Or how about the time he made himself a household name with kids when he played Dr. Tony on Yo Gabba Gabba.   And you know what they say about Yo Gabba Gabba: Yo Gabba Gabba was not created for kids… it was created for middle aged black people — Cameron Jackson Ent. (@CJE_HNIC) January 15, 2015 Let’s not forget when Anthony taught Obama the art of the noodle slurp after having a $6 meal in Vietnam:   That moment was so special that the restaurant framed the tables: President Obama and Anthony Bourdain enjoy dinner and beer in Hanoi. Fun fact: This restaurant in Vietnam was so honored by the visit, that they framed the table and stools. pic.twitter.com/hTorcNGg4N — Denizcan Grimes (@MrFilmkritik) June 8, 2018 Anthony allowed us to travel the world with him and to see things most of us probably wouldn’t have if it weren’t for him.   Rest in peace to the legend.

NBA Finals Fracas: Ayesha Curry Goes In On A Fan Who Allegedly Bumped Her 8-Month-Pregnant Belly After Game 5 Loss

Monica Schipper/Getty Images for NYCWFF Ayesha Curry Got Into It With A Rockets Fan After Game 5 Loss It looks like Ayesha Curry  got into a kerfuffle with a Rockets fan after the Warriors’ Game 5 loss last night in Houston. According to her series of tweets, Ayesha is saying that a Houston fan bumped her on her 8-month pregnant belly, then proceeded to taunt her with his phone. The video was posted on Twitter, and you can hear the Rockets fan talking ish about both Steph Curry’s wife and father. Rockets fan trash talks Ayesha Curry post game pic.twitter.com/Uo5X17Ccx3 — The Render (@TheRenderNBA) May 25, 2018 According to Ayesha, the situation started after the man came up to her and said “doesn’t losing feel like getting punch in the gut?” And the pregnant mama got even more upset that the video was posted on social media.  She wrote, ”The fact you have the audacity to post this after this man bumped me in my 8 month pregnant belly asking and I quote ‘doesn’t losing feel like getting punched in the gut?’ And continued to follow me and taunt me with his camera is beyond me…but ‘This is America’ right.” The fact that you have the audacity to post this after this man bumped me in my 8 month pregnant belly asking and I quote “doesn’t losing feel like getting punched in the gut?” And continued to follow me and taunt me with his camera is beyond me…but “This is America” right. — Ayesha Curry (@ayeshacurry) May 25, 2018 She continued to tweet a few more times replying to fans, but got fed up pretty quickly. Though there was the video snippet posted online, Ayesha says that she wishes the whole interaction was caught so she wouldn’t be so misunderstood. I thought it was an accident at first because it was crowded and then he made that gut comment and continued to follow me. I should’ve got him in the face instead of saving his life by removing the cigarette he was swinging around in my face. Wish there was full footage — Ayesha Curry (@ayeshacurry) May 25, 2018 I don’t have time for this anymore today y’all. It is what it is. I know people see what they see and believe what they choose to believe. I’m done defending myself against weird grown creeps for the day. Praying people like this get help and peace of mind. https://t.co/G581YU3LKW — Ayesha Curry (@ayeshacurry) May 25, 2018 The Houston fan in question then replied to the allegations, also on Twitter. He wrote a lengthy note explaining that first and foremost, he didn’t know Ayesha was pregnant because he doesn’t keep up with The Warriors or Steph Curry. The fan, Jose, says that he apologized to the Warriors fans immediately after realizing it was actually Steph’s family, and insists he never touched Ayesha or her pregnant belly. pic.twitter.com/rvRdjuq2Hc — Jose G Camargo (@OII_Camargo) May 25, 2018 Trash talking is pretty common at NBA games–especially at the finals, but if that fan really did touch Ayesha’s pregnant belly he’s most definitely wrong for that. Do you think the fan was wrong for talking ish against Steph’s family in the first place? And was Ayesha justified in throwing the cigarette back into the Houston fan’s face?

Steph Curry Hits A Shimmy After Scoring Seven Straight Baskets

Source: Getty / Getty Since Kevin Durant  joined the Warriors in 2016, two-time MVP Steph Curry hasn’t had to score as much as he did in his back-to-back MVP seasons. But in the third quarter of the Dubs’ crucial Game 3 win over the Houston Rockets Sunday night, fans got a reminder of how explosive Curry can be when he’s on a roll. Step. Back. STEPH. BACK. pic.twitter.com/ERAwt0BFB7 — Golden State Warriors (@warriors) May 21, 2018 After hitting nailing his seventh straight shot in the second half, Curry hit a shimmy on his way back down the court. After sinking a tough layup seconds later, he stood on the baseline facing his hometown fans and yelled, “This is my fucking house.” Curry: This is my f***ing house pic.twitter.com/MDddt5ioey — Dime on UPROXX (@DimeUPROXX) May 21, 2018 The Warriors kept a huge lead through most of the game (HOU: 85 – GSW: 126) with Curry’s run serving as the dagger that ended Houston’s hopes of going up 2-1.

Remix Please: 11 Of The Trillest “Make America Great Again” Hat Parodies

Source: JEWEL SAMAD / Getty This past week, Houston rapper Bun B did one for the culture by sporting a “Make America Trill Again” hat to a basketball game.   This isn’t the first time the rapper and distinguished professor has worn a MATA hat. He’s sported the slogan before and even had it printed on other clothing items in collaboration with Southside Collection.   Clearly, Bun B is taking jabs at Trump ‘s annoying but ever-present “Make America Great Again” hat. He joins a long list of folks who are resisting Trump with their own remixes of the MAGA gear. Some parodies are spot on in terms of their political truths, while others are just plain hilarious.
