Alexis Bellino Threatens to Sue Tamra Barney Over Attacks on Religion

The claws have come out between Alexis Bellino, her husband Jim and Tamra Barney. The legal claws, that is. Days after The Real Housewives of Orange County reunion special, Alexis and Jim have released a statement in which they threaten to sue their castmate over recent remarks, most notably her insistence on referring to Alexis as “Jesus Jugs.” ” The Real Housewives of Orange County is a reality show that is meant to entertain and engage audiences with the lives of its cast members. We recognize that the personalities, drama and conflict of the show attract fans to the popular Bravo reality series,” the Bellinos said to Us Weekly . “Unfortunately, some cast members use the show as a platform for personal attacks and character assassination, perhaps out of personal insecurity or simply to inflict pain. To the extent possible, we try to ignore this behavior. “This vicious and malicious attack on our family will no longer be tolerated. We have continually tried to take the high road, however, if necessary, we are prepared to defend ourselves against these unfounded, slanderous and defamatory remarks to the fullest extent of the law.” Barney isn’t likely to back down, however. She recently went off to Rumor Fix about Alexis and her hypocritical lifestyle. “Unlike Alexis, I don’t need to hide behind the Jesus curtain and I don’t feel the need to preach. When someone is constantly preaching about something they are lying! Alexis and Jim are faux Christians, like her ring. Does she think Jesus would be proud of her for judging me as a Christian, and the crosses in my house? Jim Bellino used to take Peggy Tanous to strip clubs after church when they were dating!” While it’s possible Bellino won’t even return to Bravo next season, one thing is for certain for now: It. Is. On. CHOOSE A SIDE IN THIS FEUD:

Fox News Watch: Jim Pinkerton Cites CMI Piece on Ground Zero Mosque

Jim Pinkerton on Saturday cited a Culture and Media Institute article about the hypocritical reporting of the proposed Ground Zero mosque. On Thursday, CMI’s Alana Goodman noted in a piece cross-posted at sister site NewsBusters: Ground Zero mosque organizer Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf has been described by the media as a “moderate” and a “bridge-builder.” But not too long ago, the same news outlets gave identical labels to a radical Virginia mosque that has been linked to some of the most infamous Islamic terrorist attacks in recent years.  When the discussion on Saturday’s “Fox News Watch” moved to the Ground Zero mosque, Pinkerton brought this up (video follows with transcript):  JON SCOTT, HOST: Jim, the host of “Red Eye” here on Fox, Greg Gutfeld, kind of a comedy show, says he wants to open a gay bar across the street from this Islamic mosque and promote positive dialog. Now, a spokesman for the Islamic center said this, this plan does not consider the sensibilities of Muslims. Did the mainstream media pick up on the irony there? JIM PINKERTON: I don’t think so, but I think the reason, Andrea, why they don’t have to write their own op-eds is because they got the New York Times shilling for them every, every morning. And the media are remarkably uncurious about the nature of this mosque. Alana Goodman, who writes for the Culture and Media Institute, went back and looked up that Abdul Rauf, you now, about he’s a moderate, he’s thoughtful, and all of this good stuff, they were using literally the same language about the mosque in Northern Virginia that Anwar Al Awlaki, the Yemen, the guy who’s now in Yemen teaching killing Americans and the inspiration to this underwear bomber, and the Times Square bomber, they used the exact same words then that they’re using now to describe this guy.

Book of Poetry, Cartoons Helps Explain Conservative Values

Craig Wieland never set out to write a book of poetry. “I’m a contractor,” he said with a chuckle. But what began as family dinner-table conversations to help his daughters understand social issues in America have culminated in a book of poems and cartoons about conservative ideas. Wieland, the owner of a nationwide construction contracting company, proved you don’t need a writer’s background or even a college degree to communicate your beliefs. Wieland said he catered to his daughters’ love for Dr. Seuss and Shel Silverstein by putting stories poetic form. “If you put it in a rhyme and use poetry, all of a sudden it becomes unique,” Wieland said in a telephone interview with the Culture and Media Institute about his new book, “Pointed Poems: Tools for Teaching Conservative Thinking.” In the book, Wieland combines poetry and cartoon-like illustrations to convey the differences between conservative and liberal viewpoints on both economic and social issues in America . The book’s 280 pages touch on everything from industry to patriotism to taxes and incorporate over 400 graphic illustrations by Dennis Preston to “give the poetry a little more punch.” “Pointed Poems,” which Wieland described as “unique,” and “fairly provocative,” discusses social issues, such as compassion, the role that personal responsibility plays in government and the problem of social programs that “help” parents raise their children. Wieland said his main message is only hinted at subtly in the book. Wieland hopes his poems show readers “the hypocritical stance that people have of criticizing the very things that they’re using.” For instance, in the poem, “Just Give Us the Outlet… and Nothing More,” protesters of electric generation prevent the construction of a new power plant but soon show their dissatisfaction in the following lines:             “So that’s what happened to our little city.              The planned power plant was not built… what a pity.              But people got mad when their outlets grew quiet.              And when it got hot, they started to riot.” By exposing this hypocrisy, Wieland further hopes to knock liberals off their assumed “moral high ground” on issues like green energy and limited government—topics which liberals use to push their agenda as the “correct” viewpoint. To help conservatives understand the differences between the conservative and liberal viewpoints on a variety of issues, each chapter begins with a brief explanation of the poem and issue, followed by the poem itself and illustrations. Wieland also highlights the “Teaching Tool” for each chapter, a single summary statement of the issue. Following the “Teaching Tool,” each poem starts with a cartoon of a father and son carrying a conversation about politics and American values. The father responds to the son’s questions by giving simple answers that reflect conservative thinking. This father-son exchange further strengthens its use as a tool for teaching conservative values to middle-of-the-road adults as well as the next generation of Americans—children and grandchildren.

Bozell Statement on Networks’ Lack of Coverage of Racist Remarks from NAACP Speaker

Managing Editor’s Note:   Earlier today, Media Research Center President Brent Bozell demanded that the media cover the explosive video footage of an NAACP banquet speaker admitting her racist views and abuse of power that led to her resignation as a Department of Agriculture official yesterday. The full text of that statement is found below: The liberal media are deliberately spiking the shocking video that reveals an NAACP banquet speaker admitting her racist views and actions. We’ve waited a full 24 hours to see if any coverage of this exposé would surface.  So far, nothing but crickets. The ABC, CBS and NBC evening and morning ‘news’ shows have all failed to even mention the damning video admission that is dripping with disdain for white people and that caused the official to tender her resignation. Worse yet, it comes from the NAACP, the same organization that has feverishly accused the Tea Parties of racism. The thoroughly untrue accusation against the Tea Parties has been propped up and propelled by the incessant reporting of these same networks. Yet they decide to thwart this story about the NAACP. The only thing more newsworthy than the charges of racism are the hypocritical charges of racism.  The media must report this scandal.

Heidi Montag’s New Tits Are in a Movie of the Day

The movie is called “Just Go With It” and it is the first ever movie to cast Heidi and Spencer Pratt, unfortunately it’s not a movie that leads to an accident on set yet, leading me to believe that Heidi and Spencer are filming it themselves with their video camera, but it turns out that it’s an actual movie with Jennifer Aniston, Nicole Kidman and Adam Sandler, and these two idiots…no not her jacked up fake tits, those are the only two good things about her attention whoring….and they aren’t even that good…they are stupid looking and inflated like we were still in the mid-90s when fake everything got a girl in Playboy. Stupid fake tits are dated and unimpressive…I meant her and her boyfriend…. Clearly, they are being used as some kind of joke in the movie, when they should have been ignored so that they actually do kill themselves or turn to porn and I can only imagine how excited they are about this shit, it’s kinda what they live for…and that annoys me. But she is showing off her titties for Jesus, cuz she’s a fake born-againg, like the hypocritical idiot we all know she is, and when girls show their tits for Jesus, I like to pretend she’s showing off her tits for me….no matter how much I hate the bitch…and plastic surgery or not…I find her pretty fucking ugly. Bristol Palin: The Height of Hypocrisy

Earlier, we reported about teen mom Bristol Palin’s upcoming cameo on ABC Famliy’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Give it up for family values! Isn’t this hypocritical and counterproductive? Isn’t having Bristol Palin on the show basically glorifying teen pregnancy? The network said in a press release: ” Bristol Palin is the most famous teenage mother in America. We’re thrilled to have her join us, and I think she will bring additional attention to the issues facing teen parents that we’ve been exploring for a couple of seasons now.” “I am thrilled to be on this show and to be a part of a program that educates teens and young adults about the consequences of teen pregnancy,” said Palin. What a crock . Bristol Palin has chosen life. And apparently fame. By putting a teen mom in any popular entertainment medium, ABC Family is (indirectly if not overtly) celebrating the fact that she’s a teen who got pregnant. Bristol Palin is known for exactly two things : Being the daughter of Sarah Palin Getting knocked up by Levi Johnston Now her famous mom wants to utilize that fact to make Bristol a celebrity while espousing family values at the same time. It’s as disgusting as it is laughable. Not to mention the ridiculousness of Sarah’s claims last week about her family being off limits. Guess that only applies if Family Guy takes shots at them , eh? This isn’t Bristol’s first dubious attempt to have it both ways. Last year, she was named Candie’s ” Teen Pregnancy Ambassador .” What does that even mean? Especially from a clothing line whose ads feature Britney Spears in booty shorts? 2008: The seeds of celebrity (and Tripp Johnston) are sown. Apparently it matters not, because it’s all about making money off THE MOST FAMOUS TEEN MOM EVER! Really, ABC Family? This is your marketing hook? Altruism, this is not. If education and prevention are really your goals, start doing public service announcements or donating time and money to charity. If the Palins wants to shamelessly promote the Palins and teen pregnancy, great. But let’s call it what it is – self-serving PR under the guise of “education.” We want to hear what you think: What is Bristol Palin’s appearance on The Secret Life of the American Teenager going to accomplish?

OMFG: Carrie Prejean Sex Tape Leads to Lawsuit Settlement!

As THG readers know, we’ve taken pleasure in mocking Carrie Prejean throughout her ridiculous ordeal with the Miss California pageant. But even we had grown tired of this story, were happy to report that the two sides reached a settlement this week and were excited to move on to other items, such as the incredible Robsten spread in Harper’s Bazaar . However, Carrie is clearly the hypocritical gift that keeps on giving.
