And iconic athlete Lisa Leslie is back in the game, but this time she’s making moves from the sidelines. The six foot five Compton, CA native is now coaching the Big3 basketball league’s Triplets and will lead her team this weekend as they face off against the Tri-State. “Being part of the Big3 has been more than I’ve ever dreamed of,” Leslie told us. “I saw it and I watched it as a fan, and to be part of the Big3 family – I kind of get choked up because I never thought that I would really coach.” Leslie was honored Friday at Toyota’s Women of Big3 Power Luncheon at the MoCada Museum in Brooklyn, where she spoke about her new role and how basketball impacted her life. Also honored was Big3 chairwoman Amy Trask and Big3 head coach Nancy Lieberman. Lashana Lynch who played Maria Rambeau in “Captain Marvel” will take on the famous 007 moniker in the forthcoming James Bond film. To be clear, the history-making moment means she’s the first BLACK PERSON and the first FEMALE to take on the role. The British actress, 31, will play 007 in what The Daily Mail is describing as a “popcorn dropping moment” between her and the current Bond Daniel Craig. Bond is apparently retired and BEFUDDLED that this “brilliant young black woman” won’t fall for his charm. “Bond, of course, is sexually attracted to the new female 007 and tries his usual seduction tricks, but is baffled when they don’t work on a brilliant, young black woman who basically rolls her eyes at him and has no interest in jumping into his bed,” a source told the Mail. “It’s a popcorn-dropping moment. Bond is still Bond but he’s been replaced as 007 by this stunning woman,” the source told the Mail. The film is currently in production in Italy and the UK. Source: Tetra Images / Getty Officials Investigate Possible Manslaughter An infant’s life tragically ended after his parents tried to perform a procedure that’s probably best left to professionals. According to ABC 7 , a 5-month-old Italian baby died when his parents tried to circumcise him at their home. The child entered cardiac arrest and was brought to the hospital by helicopter for care. But unfortunately, on Friday night it passed away. The prosecutor’s office in the northern province of Reggio Emilia has opened an investigation that could possibly lead to manslaughter charges. The infant is set to undergo an autopsy. This is not the first baby in Italy that tragically died after their parents tried to play doctor. In Rome, a two-year-old died from severe blood loss after their parents tried to circumcise them back in December. In this case, the kid’s twin brother also nearly died, but they survived following intensive care treatment. Italy’s Roman Catholic majority usually refrains from circumcisions, however, many Muslim immigrants practice the act for cultural and religious reasons. They face complications when trying to access the treatment in hospitals. For some, the hospital costs are too steep, and in some Italian hospitals, the doctors refuse to perform circumcisions until the boys have reached age four or older. Foad Aodi, the founder of the association of foreign doctors in Italy (AMSI), has appealed to health officials to allow circumcisions at an affordable prices. He also advocates lowering the age of access to help prevent clandestine attempts at circumcision.
Source: Juan Silva / Getty A Colleague Said Improper Medical Procedures Tipped Her Off If you were trying to get nipped, tucked, sliced and made anew, Dr. Matthew Mode was promoting his services in a wealthy part of the Romanian capital Bucharest. Mode even created a social media profile flashing his Patrick Dempsey-esque good looks, and he posted videos of his cosmetic surgery operations. Only problem is, Mode allegedly wasn’t a real surgeon. His name wasn’t even Matthew Mode. According to Metro , Mode previously went by Matteo Politi and he was allegedly carrying out plastic surgery on people and giving lectures to trainees with no medical background whatsoever. Authorities caught wind of Politi and he was arrested while trying to flee Romania. Colleague Adina Alberts expressed concerns about Politi’s credentials when he appeared to not follow proper procedures for washing his hands prior to surgery and he didn’t seem to hold a syringe right. Alberts went on to say one of Politi’s patients suffered “complications” after her breast surgery. Romanian health authorities said Politi was issued a doctor’s permit last year in March, but this was after he submitted a forged diploma claiming that he qualified as a doctor in Kosovo. Politi also submitted a fake CV saying he studied at the prestigious John Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore. However, they confirmed with the New York Times that they had no record of a student named Matteo Politi or Matthew Mode. Mr. Politi also lied about having previously practiced as a plastic surgeon in the UK, Italy and Spain despite never finishing secondary school. There’s even questions as to whether Matteo Politi is, in fact, his real name. According to the Times , in 2011, a court in Italy discovered that he practiced medicine illegally under that name, and he received a suspended prison sentence. Politi’s lawyer in that case, Silvia Sanna, said he didn’t take the exam to become a licensed practitioner in Italy and he didn’t have a medical degree from an Italian university. Politi is now under investigation for fraud and he’s expected to be held in Bucharest this week.

As spotted on Madam Noire , the Italian brand is releasing a printed work as a homage to the couturier creator. Titled Dapper Dan’s Harlem , the publication is a journey through the iconic neighborhood of Harlem, his atelier studio and the individuals who have commissioned his custom wears. Shot by esteemed photographer Ari Marcopoulos the book is predominantly visuals taken during his time spent with Day. Featured are some of his closest friends and noted creatives including marketing guru Steve Stoute, media personality Bevy Smith, poet Cleo Wade, chef Marcus Samuelsson and more. While Gucci has shown to be a true partner to famed tailor in the last two years luxury similar fashion houses put him out of business in the early 1990’s. Dap specialized in creating one of one street wear items that incorporated the logos and unique prints of Gucci, Louis Vuitton, MCM and more. His designs would become the signature look for Hip-Hop culture in the late 1980’s. As a limited release Dapper Dan’s Harlem will not be sold online. Bella Hadid is getting some major hate, and this time it’s not over those weird nudes she took with her sister Gigi . This time, Bella was so excited to show off her runway-ready body in lingerie. Some body-shamers, however, decided that she looked too thin — and flooded her with deprecating comments. Bella Hadid shared a series of sultry lingerie pics on Instagram. Wearing black lingerie and snakeskin boots, she excitedly gushed in the captions. “@victoriassecret fittings today,” she announced with glee. “i can’t wait for you to see all of the beautiful outfits,” Bella raved. Showing that she knows that this is a big deal, Bella added: “I’m so grateful to be a part of the show again.” Bella looks genuinely amazing in these pics. She wrote that she is “feeling happier and healthier than ever.” Realizing that she would probably face some trolling, Bella decided to head them off. “All body types are different,” Bella reminded her followers in parentheses. “And,” she continued, different bodies “react differently to a great workout routine and a healthy diet.” She’s absolutely right. Some bodies will radically change their shape. Others may have improved health, but their overall shape won’t change. Unfortunately, body-shamers and concern trolls took to Bella’s comments to blast her slender figure. “Feed her somebody,” demanded one hater. “Skin and bone!” exclaimed another. “That photo shows everything but health!” “Oh honey, you look like an Avatar in the second pic especially,” one wrote. We’re sure that James Cameron is just glad that anyone thinks of that movie enough to make a hateful comparison. “I can’t be the only one who sees that!” the commenter continued. “You look frightening!” That last line is only not an insult on Halloween, folks. “Skin and bone,” exclaimed another, unoriginally. “That second page is quite frankly disturbing.” Some of these people are acting like they’ve never seen a Victoria’s Secret model’s ribs before. “We know that Bella could look better if she eats properly,” insisted another troll. That hater reasoned: “cuz she wasn’t looking like that before which makes us sure that she’s starving herself day after day.” Another lamented: “I will never understand why bones protruding through skin is considered beautiful.” Folks, if bones were protruding from her skin, she’d be bleeding and Instagram would have removed the photos for T&S violations. Another concern troll tried to pretend that they’re really on Bella’s side in a lengthy, body-shaming post. “I have nothing against being slim,” wrote this person. “But this is unhealthy on so many levels.” “Shame on @victoriassecret for encouraging and promoting this totally unrealistic image,” the commenter continued. The hater concluded: “We must put an end to the concept of looks = value.” That last line may be accurate, but this person seems to be devaluing Bella because of her looks. Hypocrisy much? Also, Bella is literally a model. if there is ever a time for someone’s looks to matter, it’s in the modeling world. Some came to Bella’s defense, and pointed out the double standard applied to women that does not seem to be applied to men. “You can see the ribs of Hue Jackman in Wolverine,” a commenter wrote. “But I doubt you think he’s unhealthy.” It’s true — the only men who seem to get this kind of treatment are those with exceptionally slender bone structures. Women, in the mean time, get hate if they’re slender or face what’s essentially the same kind of concern trolling if they’re plus size. Teresa Giudice talked more candidly than ever before today about the very unusual and unfortunate situation affecting her family. Appearing as a guest on Good Morning America, the Real Housewives of New Jersey mainstay discussed her husband’s deportation at length. (It really is true: Joe Giudice will be deported back to Italy after he’s released from prison in 2019 because he committed a felony and he never became a U.S. citizen, despite moving here for good as a child.) Teresa described the sentencing, which a judge handed down last month, as “heartbreaking” during her spot on GMA. She then elaborated as follows: “Very sad. The girls are really upset. You know, it’s hard for them … Adults can handle anything. It’s hard for children to go through this. They’re asking themselves, ‘Why is this happening to me?’ “Like, ‘I want my daddy to come home.'” Teresa and Joe are parents to a quartet of daughters: Gia, 17, Gabriella, 14, Milania, 12, and Audriana, 9. Both Gia and Milania have made public pleas for the deportation ruling to be overturned, with the former writing on Instagram : “My father is no threat to society. He is one of the most warm hearted people I know. “My father did his time. And learned from his mistakes. Isn’t being in there supposed to make you realize your mistakes so you can become a better person?” Teresa, meanwhile, says she’s been getting support herself from Gia, saying on Good Morning America: “I tell her every day she’s like the rock of her sisters. She’s helping me, you know, explain things to them – because my third daughter is having a really hard time with this.” In 2014, Teresa and Joe each pleaded guilty to 41 counts of fraud, including mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud. Moreover, Joe admitted that he did not pay approximately $200,000 in taxes. It totally sucks that four young girls will be living far apart from their father, but it’s hard to have too much sympathy for rich people who break the law and try to game the system. Teresa served 11 months behind bars in 2015; Joe’s 41-month sentence started the following year. Then, on October 10, a judge found the restaurateur “deportable and ineligible for any kind of relief,” ordering him to leave the United States when his sentence concludes in March. Giudice has said she will remain by Joe’s side even when he leaves the country, but various insiders have said otherwise. They predict a divorce. “I never thought I would be in this position,” Teresa said on GMA, adding: “We’ve been through a lot. During the most recent episode of Teen Mom OG , fans took to Twitter to criticize Amber Portwood for what they viewed as manipulative behavior. The perceived victim of Amber's con was her ex and baby daddy, Gary Shirley. If you're a longtime fan of the show, then we probably don't need to tell you that Amber and Gary's relationship hasn't always been a bed of roses. But it seems they're working on things — and Gary would very much appreciate it if fans would stop trying to make that process more difficult. Take a look: 1. A Good Dad The Teen Mom landscape is littered with deadbeat dads, but to his credit, Gary has always prioritized the needs of his daughter, 9-year-old Leah. 2. Thick and Thin Gary has been there for his daughter during times when Amber was either physically or emotionally unable to be. 3. Gary and Kristina These days, Gary is married to Kristina Anderson, who also seems to be fully devoted to Leah’s happiness. 4. Amber’s Struggle Amber, on the other hand, is not exactly a fan favorite and has often been accused of putting her kids last. 5. To Be Fair Amber does have a lot on her plate these days, what with a new baby and a relatively new relationship with Andrew Glennon. 6.
