Paris Jackson: Breaking Down Over New Michael Jackson Documentary?

In the wake of the shocking Lifetime docuseries Surviving R. Kelly , there’s been a renewed interest in past sex crimes committed by the music world’s most powerful men. Now, as the recording industry comes to grips with its own #MeToo movement, fans and critics alike are bracing for a documentary that promises to shed new light on the child molestation allegations against Michael Jackson. If Leaving Neverland is as effective as Surviving R. Kelly , then it’s sure to leave little doubt about Jackson’s guilt and foster profound sympathy for the singer’s victims. The film may prove to be a powerful force for justice as well as a healing source of catharsis for Jackson’s victims. But it’s likely to cause considerable pain to Jackson’s family — particularly his three children, who have long maintained their father’s innocence. Last week, Michael’s only daughter,  Paris Jackson, checked into rehab citing mental health issues as the cause. The situation is being handled with the utmost care, as the 20-year-old’s emotional breakdowns have taken her to some very dark places in the past. In 2013,  Paris attempted suicide  and has fallen into several frightening downward spirals in the years since. So naturally, there’s profound concern among the Jacksons regarding how Paris will cope with the revelations contained in Leaving Neverland. “The family is absolutely horrified by this, especially during a time when Paris is so fragile,” a source tells Radar Online. Part of the problem, it seems, is that while Paris has always publicly defended her father, privately, she’s long harbored doubts about his innocence. “Paris is so vocal about this, but it is so painful for her because she remembers her father hanging out with young boys,” the insider says. “She always thought it was strange, which is why this really hits her hard.” Despite her misgivings, however, those closest to Paris say she’s consistently been able to suppress her doubts and argue in favor of her father’s innocence. “She believes her father never did these things and doesn’t understand why they keep trying to bring this back,” the source claims. As for how her family will handle the fallout from the documentary, it seems that for the time being at least, they’ve decided the best option is simply to keep Paris in the dark. “They won’t even let her see it,” says the source. “This is something that could send her to the grave.” Our thoughts go out to everyone who will be forced to confront new truths or painful memories when the film makes its debut.

Conrad Murray Voicemail to Jackson Family: Let Me Be or I TAKE YOU DOWN!

Dr. Conrad Murray really, really does not want to testify in the Michael Jackson wrongful death case. That’s just the impression we’re getting lately. In a voicemail to a friend , he threatens to drop a nuclear bomb on the entire case (so to speak) if he’s forced to testify, and he says he’s not bluffing: Conrad Murray Voicemail It’s the second time Murray has threatened AEG and the Jacksons with potentially destructive testimony, suggesting he has only BAD things to offer. Curiously, this threat appears directed at both sides, so it’s unclear exactly what secrets he’s harboring … but in any case, this is one scary dude! The incarcerated Conrad Murray says in his latest voicemail warning: “Please stop. If you don’t, let this serve as my final warning to both sides. Don’t incite me to testify. Consider this as an imminent nuclear warning.” “Enough is enough.” He then hints at the nature of his “nuclear” secret, which pertains to the true nature of Michael’s relationship with his family. Again, it’s not clear how. Murray was subpoenaed n Katherine’s $40 billion wrongful death lawsuit against AEG, but pleaded the fifth because he doesn’t want to incriminate himself. He has appealed his involuntary manslaughter conviction, which landed him in jail for four years for his role in the 2009 death of the King of Pop.

‘X Factor’: Melanie Amaro Does Michael Jackson Justice

But Rachel Crow and Drew don’t fare as well on Simon Cowell’s girls team. By Adam Graham Melanie Amaro on “X Factor” Wednesday Photo: Fox The top seven “X Factor” contestants tackled the catalog of Michael Jackson on Wednesday (November 30), paying tribute to the late King of Pop while members of Jackson’s family — including his brothers, mother and children — looked on from the audience. Melanie Amaro earned the evening’s best marks for her show-closing rendition of “Earth Song,” dubbed “amazing” by L.A. Reid, who told the singer he felt he was not in the midst of a competition, but at an Amaro concert. Nicole Scherzinger called it one of the best performances of the season, and Amaro’s mentor, Simon Cowell, told the 19-year-old, “I couldn’t think of a better way to pay tribute to one of the greatest artists in the world.” Not all of Cowell’s contestants fared as well. Rachel Crow received her harshest critiques yet from the judges, after the bubbly 13-year-old’s take on the Jacksons’ “Can You Feel It” — a rather obscure selection from one of the most celebrated bodies of work in the history of pop music — fell flat with the panel. “This is probably the only time I’ve watched you and didn’t believe you were having a great time,” Reid commented, a sentiment echoed by Scherzinger and Paula Abdul. Cowell backed his singer, saying the critiques were a result of it being “anti-Simon night,” though he seemed less than over-the-moon when he told her, “You always put on a show, you look like a pop star, and you’re having the time of your life.” Cowell’s remark that it was “anti-Simon night” came from Scherzinger and Abdul criticizing 14-year-old Drew for doing a slowed-down, piano-driven “Billie Jean” while sitting in a chair, saying she wasn’t being pushed enough as a performer. Cowell called Scherzinger’s comment “absolute nonsense” and told Abdul, “Too much dancing, that’s why your acts are out of the competition,” while praising Drew for sticking to her strengths. Meanwhile, Reid, who week after week has been Drew’s sharpest critic, begrudgingly complimented the singer. “It pains me to say this,” he told her, “but I liked it.” Of all the evening’s contestants, Marcus Canty gave the most physical performance, doing a sweaty rendition of “PYT” that included a mid-song backflip. Both Scherzinger and Abdul used the same words, calling Canty “the whole package,” while Reid said he hoped the flip would flip him some votes. Cowell was more critical, saying Canty’s vocals were compromised as a result of all the dancing. Teen rapper Astro put a rejuvenated spin on “Black or White” and was praised for the youthful energy he brought to the song. Chris Rene, who also funnels his material through a hip-hop prism, did a stepped-up “I’ll Be There,” which Scherzinger said was the best he’s ever sang. But splitting the hip-hop vote with Astro could prove costly, and Cowell predicted he’d need a lot of support to survive the week. Meanwhile, 30-year-old burrito maker Josh Krajcik — Scherzinger’s sole remaining contestant in the competition, and one of the show’s favorites to win — opened the night with a rearranged, nearly unrecognizable version of “Dirty Diana” that Cowell called his “weakest performance so far,” even as the other judges applauded his efforts. Two singers will be sent packing on Thursday’s results episode, which is also set to feature a performance from Tinie Tempah. What did you think of the “X Factor” Michael Jackson tribute? Let us know in the comments!

Freddie Gibbs’ ‘Ghetto’ Video Shows The ‘Real’ Gary, Indiana

‘It was just me interacting with the people in my city,’ Gibbs said of new video. By Shaheem Reid By now, Freddie Gibbs is very familiar with the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. He’s in Los Angeles quite often to conduct business. But when it came to showing his hometown of Gary, Indiana, to the world in his new video for “The Ghetto,” which premiered on Monday, the lanky newcomer says gloss was not an option. “The making of the video was easy, like a documentary or something,” Freddie told MTV News Tuesday (May 11). “It was just me interacting with the people in my city. A lot of people didn’t really know what Gary looked like. They just knew the Jacksons were from there. People are glad that I came with a video showing real sh– and not some made-up party scene or a car show. I gave ’em what’s true to me.” Back in January, Gibbs described the lack of opportunities in Gary , especially for an aspiring rapper. He said he felt he could open doors for others with the launch of his career. “A lot of people in Gary work hard to try and get out,” he said. “It’s a depressed city, a depressed economy. It’s still my home. I still live there. I got family, friends there. I feel like me putting this street music out, it’s gonna shed some light on the bad parts so maybe they can be fixed. Plus, it’s no music scene in Gary — we don’t even have our own radio situation. Everything we got is up under Chicago. I gotta go and create the scene. Being the first dude to come out the city in the rap game is a lot of pressure. For one, people hear Gary, Indiana, and think I’m some hick from the farm. But I’m from the bricks. This is the ghetto. This ain’t no cornfield.” Gibbs’ video was directed by Brandon “n2ition” Riley. “The Ghetto” is off of the new mixtape Str8 Killa No Filla, which drops in mid-June.

Omer Bhatti to Michael Jackson’s Kids: I am Your Father!

Remember Omer Bhatti? Michael Jackson’s former protege and alleged secret son, is treating Blanket, the late pop icon’s youngest son, as if he were his own. Bhatti has been living with the Jackson family and telling poor little Blanket, along with his siblings Prince and Paris, that he’s their father , according to reports. The 25-year-old Norwegian rapper, who is rumored to be Michael’s son, first showed up on the Jackson scene in 1996. There’s no doubt he and MJ were close. But you have to admit, it’s pretty weird that Omer Bhatti tells Jackson’s children, “Call me Michael” introduces himself as Michael and is changing his name. “Omar has even told the children he’s changed his name from Omar Jamal Bhatti to Omar Michael Bhatti,” a source close to the dysfunctional family reveals. Omer Bhatti holds a picture of Michael Jackson. They must be related! The chaotic environment of the L.A. compound where MJ’s children live with their grandma, Katherine Jackson, and others has been in the news a lot lately. California’s Department of Children and Family Services visited several times recently and has an open investigation into a stun gun incident involving Blanket. As for Bhatti, he’s lived there for some time: “He has infiltrated the Jackson family in a way that many find to be disturbing and detrimental to the children.” At various times Bhatti has told Blanket, Paris and Prince that he is their father, that their father sent him to take care of him and that he is “a real Jackson.” He dresses identical to Michael, who seemed to revel in the confusion and controversy Omer generated. Michael even told some people that Omar was his son. Joe Jackson says he is as well. Still, detractors say that since Michael died, Bhatti has latched on to the family and is manipulating Michael’s kids constantly. “Prince has been particularly vulnerable to Omar and his claims,” the family source said. “He’s starting to believe Omar’s claims that Michael is his father.” Long lost love child? Or random dude exploiting Michael’s traumatized children? Either way, he’s living off the Jacksons’ money! Sweet deal!
