The CFDA Fund usually goes to whoever is next to BLOW up in the fashion, and even though Pyer Moss has been socially conscious in their clothing (calling out police violence against Black people and mental health), Vogue awarded Kerby a $400,000 prize. This is a radical choice compared to past winners like Alexander Wang and Billy Reid, but it’s about DAMN time. As the winner, Jean-Raymond will receive a $400,000 prize. The runners up for this year’s awards were Emily Adams Bode of menswear label Bode and womenswear label Jonathan Cohen, who will will $150,000 each. Dakota Meyer is holding nothing back when it comes to his ex-wife. Quite the extreme opposite, in fact. As Teen Mom OG viewers have seen clearly over the past few weeks, Meyer and Bristol Palin did not end their marriage on good terms several months back. Their relationship fell apart due to Meyer’s ongoing PTSD, which he has struggled with ever since losing nearly his entire military team during a battle in Afghanistan. It’s a tragic and very true story, but it’s been overshadowed of late by the ugly back-and-forth between Meyer and Palin. Just last week, for example, on the latest episode of Teen Mom, Bristol said she was heartbroken because Meyer ditched her son , Tripp, as soon as his romance with Palin was over. (Bristol has this son with ex-fiance Levi Johnston and shares two younger daughters with Meyer.) “He hasn’t reached out to Tripp and Tripp is crushed by it,” Bristol told a producer on air of Meyer. “It breaks my heart.” Is this really the case, however? Has Meyer not maintained a relationship with the nine-year, to whom he grew very close as a stepfather for years? No, Meyer said a couple days ago on his Instagram Story. “I never got the opportunity to [stay close to Tripp after my divorce,]” he explained. “I don’t have custody of Tripp. It’s hard enough for his own dad to get to see him!” That’s some strong, subtle shade right there. Added Meyer: “When you have a stepchild, you don’t get the rights to that stepchild when you get divorced. If they’re under 18 you have to go through their mother to get them.” Because, according to Meyer, Bristol has not let him actually see Tripp, Dakota says he hasn’t tried to reach out in other ways because he doesn’t want to essentially tease the child: “Am I supposed to call Tripp up and mess with his mind and then when Bristol’s pissed with me, she’s not going to let me see him? I’m not going to mess with him. “He’s had enough of that.” Meyer and Palin got divorced way back in February. But he says here that his mental health has improved significantly since he stopping seeing Bristol. “We talk about anxiety, do you know how many shots I’ve had to get in my neck [for anxiety] lately? None. “Since Bristol moved out of my house I haven’t had to get any shots in my neck. I haven’t had to take any Ketamine. I haven’t had to take any medication.” He has had to read about Palin calling him an evil liar , however. Still, he doesn’t regret marrying her only because he got his two kids out of the relationship. And also because Palin basically showed Meyer exactly what he does NOT want out of a partner. “Before Bristol I couldn’t have appreciated a good woman in my life… “But now, [after] being treated like shit by somebody, I understand what it’s like to be treated terrible and not have someone give a shitt about you and be stuck with them, and have to put up with that,” he said on Instagram. “I think it was a plan by God of working on me. I don’t think it was a mistake. “I think it was God using her to put me in a situation that sucked real bad and to be worked on.” Well… okay then! Now the former Destiny’s Child star is speaking out about her mental health and how dark things felt before she entered treatment. She told People Magazine , I thought I was over depression. I thought, ‘I’m good!’ I’ve got love, I’m working out. But I was so angry. The rage built up in me. I did not attempt suicide, but I was questioning [life]. Michelle added that she battled depression since she was a teen, but she started feeling the bout of hopelessness around the time she was rehearsing for Coachella with Beyonce and Kelly Rowland . The entire year we were rehearsing every day for hours. I was burying it, and before you knew it, I was looking up out of the pit like, ‘Oh my God.’ I was like ‘No, you better go [to the hospital].’ By the time I got there, I was stable. As for her relationship with fiancé Chad Johnshon , Michelle revealed that she broke off the engagement weeks after he popped the question, and pushed him to leave, adding: I would’ve understood [if he left]. He’s been praying for a wife. He didn’t pray for a depressed wife. But now the happy couple are back together and Michelle is feeling more stable than ever: People fall off the fitness wagon, people fall of the wellness wagon, but I can’t fall off the [therapy] wagon. I have to get healed to live this happy life. And it’s not just about marrying Chad. I finally found someone to do life with. Glad to see the songstress back in a good place.

Radar Online reports that Ariana Grande, in light of her breakup, has taken what most would consider a pretty drastic step. She has allegedly changed the locks of her luxurious, 4,000-square-foot apartment. “Ariana has no plans to continue being friends with Pete,” an insider reports. Oh that is heartbreaking if true. The source notes that it was an “amicable breakup” even though it was Ariana who decided to end it. The report explains that Ariana felt the need to create some distance between herself and the man to whom she was, just a week ago, engaged. “If he had his way,” the insider says of Pete. “He would still be with her.” Well, yeah. No one ever really doubted that, and no one really suspected that Pete woke up one day and decided that he wanted this dream to end. The event was hosted by Rashan Ali and Jonathan Slocumb (pictured above) and featured Atlanta’s Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms as well as Rep. Maxine Waters as speakers. Carson. After addressing the crowd, Bottoms passed the mic one by one to the women there to show their support. For those who have heard Abrams speak about Walter and how his health issues has affected her family, it is impossible not to connect with Abrams — who has made it her business to find solutions for the VERY real problems that Georgia residents face. Actor Derek Luke Honored With His Own Day In Jersey City Today, actor Derek Luke was honored with a Proclamation from Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop to declare August 29th, 2018, Derek Luke Day. The 13 Reasons Why star and his wife Sophia accepted the honor at his hometown barbershop in Jersey City to receive the proclamation to commemorate his commitment to community service, and serve as the launch the Derek Luke Foundation. Luke and his wife spent the day donating free haircuts, backpacks and school supplies to hundreds of local schoolchildren. The newly launched foundation will work to help heal urban communities by encouraging mental health awareness, empowering youth in underserved areas and promoting the benefits of diversity.
