Source: Monica Schipper / Getty Kylie Jenner Hung Out With Tyga Well well well what do we have here? It appears as though the Travis and Kylie breakup has quickly gone from cordial split and a need for space to some real vindictive ish going on. That’s because E! News is reporting that Kylie quickly turned her new single hood into a late-night rendezvous with ex-overaged lover Tyga: A source tells E! News that the former couple met up late Tuesday night, after Kylie and her friends, Stassie and Kelsey, enjoyed a late night bite at the Hollywood hot spot Delilah. “Kylie wanted to have a girls’ night out last night and Stassie thought it would be best to get her out of the house and her mind off the news,” a source explains. “He was with a few of their mutual friends at Sunset Marquis and invited Kylie and her girlfriends to come hangout, since they were already out.” The insider does add that Kylie and Tyga “have been in touch” since their split in 2017, but says they “don’t talk often.” This is getting quite petty and Twitter had ALL the comedy. Take a look… Kylie couldn't wait 2 seconnds to go back to tyga lmfao. Travis scott needs to learn, you'll lose her the same way you found her — Alina (@alinathequeenx) October 3, 2019
Source: Umehz Charles / EyeEm / Getty When it comes to the topic of shaping our eyebrows, the debate is an ongoing one throughout the beauty community. While some beauty mavens are interested in growing out their brows, some are conditioned to use brow pencils or powders to style their eyebrows during the growth process. Now more than ever, pomades are slowly replacing brow pencils as the popular choice. And it makes sense! Pomades are a great product to create bold brows that we see all over Instagram. Definition is key for many makeup lovers and pomades are a great alternative to execute that look. This formula also comes in handy to give brows a long-lasting hold for all day wear. However, if your a fan of the traditional soft brow look, the right pomade will deliver. Many makeup mavens think that pomades are only for those with sparse brows, but anyone can use this product. To perfect the look, dip an angled short brush into your pomade. Gently tap the brush against the back of your hand to remove excess product. Then, brush on the product starting at the center of your bottom brow for an outline. Follow up with an outline at the top of your brow starting just after your brow begins and connect with the bottom line. Fill in the brow with light strokes and use a spoolie brush to fade the product into the front. A front runner and fan favorite in the Hello Beautiful office is Anastasia Beverly Hills DIPBROW Pomade ($18.00, sephora.com ). It’s long lasting and comes in 11 different shades. On the flip side, brow pencils also come in major clutch! You can create soft, natural looking brows with ease. And if you’re a sucker for a well placed arch, brow pencils will blow your mind. Simply start at the most sparse area of your brows and fill them in with short, feather like strokes. The key to this method is to be light-handed in application and drawing on the strokes in the direction of your hair growth towards the end of your brows. If you’re looking for an affordable brow pencil, try NYX Micro Brow Pencil ($12.00, nyxcosmetics.com ). This is great if you’re just starting with brows, the only downside is that the pencil tends to run out quickly. You also have beauty mavens who can’t resist a good brow powder. Providing a softer effect that other brow products, powders can be worn alone and can be used to set eyebrow pencils for a fuller finish. The application process is also as simple as can be. All you’ll need is an angled brush coasted with the powder formula. Dab on the back of the hand to remove excess product and sweep the brush in the direction of your hair growth with a light hand. Brush through with a spollie and voila! Our Fashion and Beauty Director, Danielle James, swears by Urban Decay Brow Box in Brunette Betty ($12.97, nordstromrack.com ), “It comes with a spoolie and an applicator and even though it’s a powder, it also has a white pomade to help shape or create a stronger brow. I love it!” It’s currently on sale for over 50% off so you might want to scoop this up ASAP. So, the question remains- are brow pomades easier to shape your brows? We would definitely say that pomades are the safest bet! Not only does this product provide all day wear, it provides the picture perfect finish we all know and love. Pencils are great for those who are just starting their makeup journey, but pomades are where it’s at! What say you? Are you a fan of brow pencils or are you attached to eyebrow pomades? Source: Fox / Fox Empire returned last night for its sixth and final season. We left off last season with Lucious on the run from the law and apparently because Lee Daniels is dramatic, Lucious didn’t have access to clippers despite the fact that he was shacked up with Damon Cross’ daughter. Oh yes! It’s a lot. Let’s break this down because as usual, there’s a lot going on. Cookie left Lucious, and she has been living her life. She’s on a View -style talk show and living out her dreams beyond Empire. Andre is at the helm of Empire and he is also expecting a baby with his new girlfriend. But it’s not all roses, remember he still has to keep his heart healthy and make sure that his cancer doesn’t come back. That brings us to the moment Cookie and Lucious came face to face for the first time in several months. Lucious managed to sneak into the hospital while Cookie and Andre were waiting for Andre’s doctor. Basically, Lucious and Cookie are back to not getting along but Lucious is on a mission to get some dirt on Damon Cross or Empire and the entire family could be going down again. The feds have been harassing Dre all episode and this will probably be a theme all season. Becky and Giselle are still at Empire working and looking for the next up and coming talent. That hasn’t been going so well for them but they’ve declared that that are #BlackGirlMagic so they’ll get it together eventually. Source: Fox / Fox Finally, the big teaser of the season thus far will be who shot Lucious. The episode began nine months in the future. We see a clean shaven Lucious, the version of Lucious who looks like he’s back in the mix at Empire, getting shot and seemingly dying. But you never know with this show. Anyway, again, whose idea was it to give him that obvious and unnecessarily dramatic dreadlock wig? P.S. In case you’re wondering, they wrote Jamal ( Jussie Smollett ) off the way we knew they would. They said he ran off to London to be with his husband, and that’s that. Source: Kevin Mazur / Getty With her spring wedding less than a year away, Taraji P. Henson has her mind set on how she wants her nuptials with fiance Kelvin Hayden to go down. The actress appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to promote the final season of Empire and share some deets on her big day, which include not having any bridesmaids. When Colbert asked if she’s been enjoying wedding planning activities like sampling cakes, she responded, “I don’t do samples. Don’t send me swatches. I told my wedding planner make it pretty, fun, make sure the food is good and a bomb deejay. No bridal party. I’m not a bridezilla. Please, I just want to say my vows in front of people I love, eat good food and have fun. That’s it!” Sounds like a perfect plan to us. The Golden Globe winner also talked about how she never imagined Empire would have had the impact it has. Now…when it comes to the Oscar-nominee’s wedding dress, she’s got that part almost ready. She’s going with Vera Wang. “Vera Wang is definitely making my dress. The wedding is 4/4/20, I leaked it,” Taraji excitedly told Access Hollywood , adding “We haven’t pinpointed the silhouette yet.” Here’s what we know: Whatever she chooses, she will look fantastic walking down the aisle. Source: Cindy Ord / Getty If there is one celeb we can swap skincare routines with, Jhene Aiko would definitely top the list! Let’s be honest, her skin is the true epitome of beauty goals ! While we know that makeup is a huge part of her lifestyle, but we can’t help but notice that her skin is always picture-perfect. So, it’s no surprise that she scored the gig as the global face of Kat Von D Beauty’s latest foundation line. There is no denying that trying to learn our favorite celebs beauty routines can be a bit tricky. From their high-priced beauty treatments and sometimes bizarre routines, finding a way to incorporate their skincare practices into our everyday lives is easier said than done. However, the “Triggered” singer is giving us a glimpse of her go-to products. In a recent interview with ESSENCE , the star couldn’t stop raving about a skincare product that she says saves her skin while wearing makeup. “It’s been hot right now in LA, so with that daytime makeup, you’ve got to make sure you have your blotting papers on you,” she tells ESSENCE . “Because if you just let it sit and it gets oily, then that sits on your face, that’s going to turn into a bump. So I personally always have to have blotting paper.” She continued, “And just for sure, wash your face. Wash that makeup off as soon as you can; it’s a big one. Because if you leave makeup on, like three days later you’ll have a big bump coming up.” We definitely agree! Blotting papers do a fabulous job of lifting away oils without disturbing our makeup. Personally, I like to use Fenty Beauty’s Invisimatte Blotting Papers ($16.00, fentybeauty.com ) to get the job done. While we all love how makeup enhances our beauty, it can have adverse effects on our skin if we don’t remove the product properly. Having a solid skincare routine is the only way to ensure that your skin will get the nourishment it needs. What say you? Are you a fan of blotting papers? What products do you use to control oily makeup? Lets us know down in the comments below! Now, the Bachelor Nation knows for sure who was selected as Bachelor and has even met the new season’s contestants . But Mike Johnson was an incredibly popular contender: handsome, charming, and fresh on the minds of fans. He will not be the franchise’s first black Bachelor — and he and former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay have something to say about that. Rachel Lindsay was the first black Bachelorette in the entire franchise. As long overdue as her role as the leading lady was, The Bachelor series has gone on for nearly two decades without a black leading man. When Rachel was asked about this inexcusably overdue milestone, she was very diplomatic — but spoke her mind. “I think Peter seems like a very nice guy. He seems lovely,” she tactfully begins. “This is absolutely nothing against him,” she emphasizes. “But how many Peters have we seen before?” She answers her own question: “What season are we on? 24. So, we’ve seen 24 Peters.” “I’m bored,” Rachel expresses. “And it’s nothing personal against him.” “I want to be hopeful, but when you have a contestant like Mike Johnson, who seems to check all the boxes, how is he not the Bachelor ?” she asks. “I don’t understand,” Rachel laments. “I’m sure they have some reason for not picking him, and I’m going to trust in that.” “But at the same time,” she notes. “The system isn’t working in giving us a Bachelor who is a person of color.” “So we need to change the system,” Rachel suggests. “Something has to be done. Break the rules, step outside the box, give the people what they want.” When Mike Johnson sat down with Entertainment Tonight , they obviously asked him about Rachel’s views. “Congratulations to Peter first and foremost. Then in regards to what Rachel was saying, I do agree with Rachel,” Mike begins. He agrees that “that after 24 Bachelors, a black Bachelor should have been cast.” “But at the same time, ABC has been successful,” Mike acknowledges. “They know what they’re doing for their audience.” “They know what they’re looking for,” he points out. “I wasn’t the guy they were looking for at the moment.” “I did [say I thought it was going to be him],” Mike says of new leading man Peter Weber. “But that wasn’t because ABC told me.” “I just felt that way, and I will always be honest with the way I feel,” he explains. “And I felt that for what they were looking for,” Mike continues. “That Peter would be a really good fit.” “Why do I think it wasn’t me? I have no idea,” he admits. “I can only speak on my personality and the wonderful man that I am,” Mike adds. “I do know that Peter and I are two completely different people — both good people, kind-hearted people,” Mike observes. “But I do feel that I’m a bit more outspoken than Peter,” he assesses. “I’m a bit louder than Peter is. I have tattoos, and the obvious, I’m black.” “So we are very diverse and different in that regard as well,” he points out, gently acknowledging that race may be a deciding factor. “And we like different women.” Mike says. “I want to make sure the focus is centered around love because that’s what this show is about.” “So,” he continues. “Peter and I also are attracted to two different types of women as well.” When it comes to diverse casting, Mike has a lot to say: “Two parts on that — I think of diversity more than just black and white.” “And yes, Peter has a Cuban mom, but let’s just be honest — he’s white, right?” he says. That could be a controversial statement, but it’s important ot remember that Cuban-Americans exist across a racial and ethnic spectrum. “And that’s just being completely transparent,” Mike emphasizes. “I think that there should be an Asian lead, an Indian lead… diversity is not just black and white,” he says. “It’s not just salt and pepper.” “I feel that Rachel is extremely intelligent,” Mike correctly states. “She’s saying that from a statistical standpoint…” “if Peter likes one thing — not saying what he does like and he doesn’t like,” he says carefully. “But if he likes Caucasian women for example, then there may be a higher percentage of it being a Caucasian Bachelorette,” Mike reasons. “But I do know for a fact that ABC chooses based on personality,” he adds. “Who’s to say that one of the women of color may not be the Bachelorette next?” “But on Peter’s season,” Mike suggests. “He may have a higher likelihood of picking a woman who is Caucasian.” Honestly? I had never thought about how there’s a cyclical effect — more white Bachelors mean more white contestants. And since those contestants form (most of) the pool for the next Bachelorette, the cycle continues on and on. ABC’s hands aren’t tied by that, of course, but it does make it easier to appease racist fans by keeping most of the cast as white as snow on a golf course. (And yes, there are a lot of racist fans — Rachel saw lower ratings for her season, and it was not a coincidence) “Demi Lovato and I went on a date,” Mike confirmed, on a lighter note. “The woman is quite astounding and amazing, and that’s all I’ll say on that. ” View Slideshow: The Bachelor Season 24: Meet the Women!
